Oblivion RingRavenoftheBlackStatus: Public
Upon the battlefield I stood,
My armor set, my broadsword drawn,
Awaiting, as a soldier should
The order to attack at dawn.
I had been summoned through the mist,
That lies between the worlds unknown,
Behind me waved the hand, the fist,
A 'walker, less of flesh than stone.
He battled yet another one,
A being of titanic skill,
Who's magic paled, it seemed, to none,
Except to those they duel to kill.
My moment soon was to arrive,
But then a blast of blinding light,
It seemed like I was still alive,
Yet fast descending into night.
Around me is a circle pale,
Beyond is shadows, nothing more,
I cannot move within this jail,
Which has not walls, nor lock or door.
No wind is blowing through this seal,
For nothing moves that I can see,
Though still within this place I feel
The coldness of eternity.
Beyond the ring, the shadows fly,
Their motions like a frenzied twist,
As hours drag, or days pass by,
Since Time refuses to exist.
I beg, I plead, I hope and yearn,
I pray that something breaks this spell,
And lets reality return,
To save me from my private hell.
