Any questions regarding anything can be here. Discussing posting conventions, what to do about a given situation, idle chat, or whatever. As of now, you all know each other, at least to an extent. You've defeated an orc kingdom together. |

Garren, just thought I'd inform you that Aura of Courage and Banner both gives a morale bonus. You may already know, since there aren't really many alternatives. Daring Champion could let you pick up Combat Expertise with less int, but it's not very flavorfully sound. Anyway, going to do some preliminary rolls. First, to find out what I missed out on: 121 Then for some other things. 20, 13 Edit: I am filled with regret. |

And the game begins! I'll be using this as my speaking color, I guess. ~SE++ |

So I can't be consistent between my games? Aww. Well, blue doesn't suit me anyway. "This is how I talk. Italics indicate emphasis, bold is for shouting, CAPS is for losers, underline for rulesy stuff I guess?" (Thought processes are in parantheses.) [[Brackets for alternative forms of communication, should they come up.]] Working on my introduction as we speak. Edit: kdone. |

Yeah I was working that out when I built that character. Thankfully Banner outranges Aura so it basically becomes 'stay next to me for a big bonus or spread out a little and still get some benefit'. Not a perfect solution but it works well enough. I'll use this as my speaking colour assuming there are no issues with it. |

Oh, and what you know of my character is that he likes to talk to himself in Terran, and he sometimes even seems to answer himself in the same language. He summons elementals a lot through wands, though to this point, you've probably only seen him use up one wand, and there are two more on his belt he hasn't tapped into. Other than that, he's a very plain looking human with an average height, brown hair and brown eyes. He wears a long robe, tied at the waist with a belt, and he always has gloves over his hands. And currently, he's on his hands and knees muttering in Terran, so it more or less should look like he's praying right now. ~SE++ |

All of those things are suspicious in their own regard. I wish my character was more of the curious type right now. |

I prefer to think he's quirky. ~SE++ |

I mean on multiple levels. I have qualms about your description of appearance, but that might come down to preference, so I'll leave that to be and not get too paranoid (for now). The whole wand and tremorsense thing, on the other hand, is leaving me befuddled. A wand of summon monster II costs 4.5k gold, and you allegedly have at least one wand that can summon earth elementals, possibly three. The most reasonable explanation I can find for this is that you didn't buy ones with 50 charges, or played around with the item creation rules. Then, you have tremorsense, which is pretty difficult to attain. Furthermore, you apparently need to touch the ground with your hands, as opposed to just being in contact. Also you speak with something in terran. My gut instinct was improved familiar and tumor familiar, but that doesn't actually work due to size limitations. Furthermore, I have supposedly heard both Ruck and Puck speak (I assume that is what you meant, anyway), and since I'm unable to distinguish the voices, I should probably start assuming that you're suffering from multiple personality disorder. But then there's the whole tremorsense thing again. |

I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure Ruck is on the up and up and certainly not a character specifically brought in by the DM to act as an evil mole in the group for a later reveal.... I mean, yeah, Ruck is a decent fellow. ~SE++ |

It's not Ruck I'm concerned about, it's Puck. |

Bah, Puck's a stand up guy as well. And I'm sure you guys will meet him sooner or later. ~SE++ |

A little party uncertainty is cool, just don't let the paranoia get ya. I've seen/been in parties that were paranoid wrecks (but that was after most of a campaign) and it led to some great moments, but a terrible lot of intraparty conflict. |

In all fairness, I have no right to talk. I haven't shared my character sheet either. |

...you know it just occurred to me that the paladin in the only guy here who has revealed both his back-story and his character sheet. Somehow that seems fitting. |

ikr It helped me remember that Improved Initative was a feat. Anyway, guessing games are fun, no? We can have a challenge of whether my or squinty's secrets will be exposed first. |

I'm guessing squinty is a summoner and his eidolon has tremor sense. |

Post subject: | Re: [PF]Which Way Is Up?[OOC] |
I did so too until I found out that tremorsense is a 7th level evolution. Also why would you go around with wands for summoning when basically every class feature you have is "summon things." |

Post subject: | Re: [PF]Which Way Is Up?[OOC] |
I assumed the wands were just fake so people stopped going 'summoner? So your like a wizard specializing in conjuration?' all the time. But yeah if Tremorsense is 7th level that's my idea blow out the water. |

Mown wrote: Anyway, guessing games are fun, no? We can have a challenge of whether my or squinty's secrets will be exposed first. If people wanna know I can explain my build. I mean, I kept it hidden during creation because I prefer to do that and not influence how others build. Also, his roleplay is a little different, so since I didn't know what our hook was gonna be or how long we had known each other's characters, I kept the build to myself. Now knowing that we battled together already, well, I suppose you guys would probably know my secrets. So, yeah. If people wanna know, I'll just tell it. If you like guessing games, we can keep going that way as well. ~SE++ |
