This is the out of character thread for the Call of Cthulhu game "The Wind in the Cage".

So far, our cast of characters includes:

Buddy, the Enigmatic Hobo, played by Chinkeeyong.

Professor Edward Jarvi, played by Tevesh_Szat.

Officer John Masters, played by BurningEarth.

Debt Collector Dante Alcoreti, played by Dtolle.

Luckily for me, it's entirely in-character for Buddy's rambling internal monologue to get facts wrong and conflate people with their superiors. I am vindicated.

What a foolproof character concept!

Okay, announcements ahead of time: I'm going to have spotty activity in the coming week

Specifically, Saturday, September 27 is the oddly appropriate reason for absence of the HP Lovecraft Film Festival. I'll be out of the house and either driving or in a theater from earlier than I normally bestir myself until far, far later than I typically sleep, so I'll be totally unreachable that day and can't vouch for my activity the next.

Then on Tuesday, September 30, I'm moving houses (for reals, not just packing for the move like I've been doing all September). I should get Internet access at the new place the day after, but I've learned not to trust these jokers, so if I have an oddly long leave of absence about then, that's why. I'll try to get somewhere with free wifi and give an update if I still don't have reliable internet by Friday the 3rd.

Okay. At the current pace, I'm posting once everyone has replied, or 48 hours have passed, whichever comes first. I was debating moving that down to 24, but I'll at least wait until you're settled from absences, or keep it at 48 indefinitely, if that's preferred for anyone.

Also, I edited the last post to detail about Samuel Mathis.

The game is moving very slowly for me. I think some of these pauses aren't really necessary, since you pretty much know exactly what we're going to do - talk to the people and grill them about Henry Mosser's disappearance. I would prefer if you gave us most of the relevant information in a single update, and don't mind losing some control over my character during low-risk parts of the game if it means we can get to the interesting horror parts faster. You can still pause to see if we have any specific inquiries or areas of investigation.

I was thinking as much, but at the same time, I was kind of trying to drag it out a bit for Tevish's absence. I'm definitely intending to pick it back up when he's returned. If you feel it necessary, we can speed up sooner though.
