Out of Character thread for Desire and the Dead. Feel free to come on in and chat. Also pick a colour for when your character is speaking. |

Garemello Josk is ready to serve the purposes of Enthropy. Kind of sad I can't berate Kronos a bit. |

Okay so just as a aside is everyone okay with waiting a couple of days before we start this thing properly so Squinty can get a character built? It's just so much easier to have him turn up to the tavern a little late then it is to have him turn up the next day or something. I mean I can do it either way but I'd prefer the former. Is everyone okay with that? |

Can at least RP out some time in the tavern as a little to buy Squinty some time, plus figured saving the Factorum (faction lieutenant?) some time in getting answers elsewhere as I go so it works out for me. |

Entering in the middle seems cool. Are there any obviously distinguishing features between lizardfolk males and females? Cuz I'd need to change my post accordingly if there are. Also, how much editing, if any, is allowed? |

Lizardfolk males and females are pretty much identical to the casual observer. The females tend to be a little bit larger and the males a little more vividly coloured but unless you are an expect in these things (such as a druid or ranger) it would be almost impossible to tell them apart. I'm perfectly okay with editing so long as it doesn't cause massive continuity errors - like changing the entirety of what you said after several posts have already responded to it. Other then that I'm okay. If you are unsure just ask me and I'll give you the go ahead. Edit: Oh and I'm always fine wish people going back to do edits for spelling and grammar mistakes they notice later. I do it often enough that it would be hypocritical of me to deny others. |

Can lizardfolk gender be distinguished from voice? |

I will have the basic character done by the end of tonight. I do have a few questions for the DM about spells and items, but it really wouldn't impact me joining any sooner for the basic roleplay. ~SE++ |

Ace seems to be a bit off timing. BTW, how much of my characters' feelings should I be writing? Should i just keep her feelings to myself and write her actions? |

@Garren - Aside from choosing a deity and some silly background, my character is done, but that can get worked on. I can enter the tavern with my full compliment anytime. If we're supposed to know each other, the basics of my character are: Halfling male standing around 4'2", dirty blonde hair, green / blue eyes and quite adoreable (18 CHA). He wears only basic clothing, but he rides a fearsome otherworldly dog named Ripper, travels with two other wartrained dogs named Fang and Claw, and a hawk named Talon. The two dogs are wolfhounds, and both have chainmail and saddlebags. If we've ever been in combat, you'll know that he rides any one of this three dogs into combat with the other two flanking him and hawk flying over him. He uses all four of his companions to flank single enemies at a time, or assist other team members with flanking. ~SE++ |

Oh, right, he's also a spellcaster, but while he knows a plethora of spells, he doesn't prepare any. He's religious, though still need to pick a deity, he his a healer, but the majority of his spells are defensive in nature. Yeah, he's just a little kid, he looks to be around a 7 or 8 year old human due to his race. ~SE++ |

Fair enough Squinty. Assume you cam ein with the others and heard the conversation thus far. Other then that feel free to start asking questions and role-playing. |

Egad that exposition. It didn't look quite so bad while I was typing it all out... |

viewtopic.php?f=26&t=4100#p145826 "Made no motion as to eat it." Didn't want to edit since I didn't know what effects it would have on the die roll. |

For future reference editing a post will have have no effect on a dice roll. You can't even remove a dice roll by editing a post. |

Sorry for Sparrow insisting on figures, but since we were set up to be mercenaries I figure we should get our contracts. ~SE++ |
