=P You guys and that bar...

Anywho, I dunno. Guess I started this thread since there's games (okay, one game) I'm not a part of, so I thought it'd be nice for everyone playing a RPG to have a place to talk together. Could be nice to see what others are up to. I'd be particularly interested in hearing what's going on in the [3e] The Sea Dragon Sets Sail game since I didn't read any of it yet. Oh well, t'was an idea...

So the TabletopRPG section has its Off Topic Tavern, and we're like the VIP section for the ones that play via PBP. Got it.

So tell me about this bar?

More that the Off Topic Tavern gets little traffic, and I was hoping for just some fun conversation in a forum where more people frequent. Oh well....

I was going to post in here earlier, but then realized I'm actually in all the PbP RPGs right now.

As for SDSS, I think it's going swimmingly. :V

I want to get my players into combat soon. If they still wanna go to the wall at night, I'll try and just move time forward after the conversation(s) they're having now.... maybe. I dunno.

I was waiting on a few others to chime in on the face eaters of room 14 and beyond, cause I didnt want to be the only one or one of the few causing things to move forward. I know how much it sucks to be busy for a day or so and then come back to find the game has moved on without you. It goes for all games, not just yours, so you'll notice I tend to hesitate sometimes in hopes of letting other players act. Otherwise I feel like I'm 'leading' the group around. Heh

Some anonymous gamer just bypassed the word filter on the site in my campaign. I hope my thread doesn't get moderated :p

Anyways, now that I have time for a non-witty-one-liner response to your question: The SDSS game is progressing rather well. We had a pretty decent bit of front-loaded RP and mayhaps be wrapping up our first combat shortly. We've only just left port, so the adventure has only begun! I've enjoyed the mental image that we had a pair of bears fighting a giant water elemental on the deck of a ship.

I'm planning on a battlemind. We can be psi buddies! We should chat about it in the OOC place.

What does a Battlemind do exactly? I was going to go with a Telekinesis Psion so I can move them around as best I can. But I am perfectly willing to go with something that compliments your build more. Heh, wanna be siblings? lol.

I've not played one yet, so I cant speak to the exact degree of they're abilities. But they use their psionics to modify their atwill powers and to be able to do things such as give themselves resistances, move around the battlefield more, deny enemies attacks of opportunity and all sorts of interesting stuffs. Plus I've never played a Psion or a CON or CHA based class for that matter what race were you thinking of ?

I generally go Human for ease, but I'm open to anything. I just figured if we're both playing some version of a mental fighter, it could be funny to be siblings just for the roleplay of it all. Heh, sibling rivalries and the like.

I thought about human, but also played a lot of humans lately and considered tiefling or dragonborn. But ... thosr are from mechanical standpoints and I want to read more of the flavor

So, looking over the Psion's powers, I was thinking of making a characters fairly high in most mental stats, while dumping STR and DEX just for the sheer roleplay of it. CON would stay at 10 just so I'm not hindered by a lack of HP, but aside from that, just being so far subpar in physical that it's almost painful. What do you think, BH?

If I go battlemind the character will be focused on CON CHA and WIS. Dex may the bleedover odd point or two but pysically Id be normal at best.

Looking them over, Tiefling would be awesome for the stats. I wouldn't mind going for that, BH.
