Preference: Lord goes first.

By the rules: I would go first since my bonus is higher. Or, that was the way my other groups played it.

I'm fine going first if you wish, SE. I just need the kobolds to move the way I want them to. :P

@Altimis At the start of your please make an acrobatics check to see if you're able to stay in the tree, especially since you're dual wielding. The DC is 15. You make make a short post like
Example wrote:
"Arrik tries nimbly to balance on the tree brance"

And then post your full turn in the next post, since you will now know wether you stayed in the tree or lost your balance.

Thanks in advance!

An Example Post
Quote:
With the massive blow from Elliot's spear the wolf crumples easily barely even having time to let out a dying yelp. Blood spurts fill the air splattering everything nearby and slowly begins forming a dark pool in the dusty road. Rook nods to Elliot and gives a wicked grin, obviously approving of such a display. "You mean to tell me there's a warrior hiding in there beneath all that 'For the common good' preaching? HA!" he howls, still grinning wildly and swinging his axe towards the goblin at the corner of the wall. He calls out a warning to his fellow adventurer: "Watch your heaaaaad!"

Note:
I'm not demanding all your posts be as long as that. And Im not insisting that you bold and underline like I do. But I do ask that you put some flavor into your posts, make them clear and easy to read, and add depth to your character even while in combat. Give the other players and a DM a way to learn about your character and things to respond to with further roleplay. Its not important to me that you found a three paragraph way to describe hitting an orc with a sword, its important to me that your character feels like a person not a sheet of data, and that he finds his "place" in the party and in the game world.

Still dunno if the kobolds have seen me or not?
I'm assuming not, given I was in the tree, and I saw them before anyone else in the group. I leave that up to you.

EDIT: nvm i can read 8^p

How creative are we able to get with our posts? If there is something rather obscure should we okay it with you first?

Thanks. It seems like my spirit is mostly insensate and inactive, except when it's not. It does say that it's up to you if my spirit can stealth or perceive things at least passively.

And, in keeping with my track record, the first move I make in the game is a flop.

Well, I have no idea if mine will be any better, but I'm giving it a try...

@SE: You actually rolled for damage in your post, not the attack. Attack rolls are to-hit rolls, so you always use 1d20, plus whatever bonuses you may have. Off the top of my head, you get +4 from having a CHA score of 18, plus another +1 for Implement Expertise. So your roll to see if you hit should be 1d20+5 (assuming I am not missing any other bonuses).

Sorry, I was a little distracted. On the plus side, I edited in my attack roll, and did quite badly! (and it keeps all your other rolls memorized when you edit, so my other roll is still there! woot!)

Should we, as a rule, have players roll attack and damage at the same time? So BH can resolve these actions more quickly?

If you refer to my example you roll both at the same time. That way if I determine its a hit I can assign the damage and move on the next turn. If you miss I just ignore the damage roll.

Squinty I will make it so you can edit out the bad roll in a minute.

Neither was a bad roll. I had to edit in my attack roll, and it seemed to memorize my old roll too.

Yeah I see that now.

Just as a heads up you cant edit rolls out if you mess them up. At least not till I go in and change it so you can.

Kobold Minion #2 is defeated.

It is now Arriks turn.

I was aiming at #4 to push it back into #2. If that makes any difference. I had moved to K-6 to line up the shot.
