Hmm, I appear to have mixed up the symbols for Kord and Heironeous during my most recent post. Oops. to be clear, Kord's symbol is a red circle with a cross section of spears and maces (maci?). >.< I'm pretty rusty with this whole cleric business.

Hey everybody, quick poll. Anybody want to do arena-style combat? I ask because the last time Lug hired folks, the PCs talked about their qualifications to Lug and Strom at the inn. Although I don't normally recommend PC fighting PC, Lug is saying what he's saying because that is very much in Lug's nature, I can go either way if you guys would want to do some arena fighting to shake some things up for fun.

If you wanted to do arena fighting, we could go PC on PC, or PC on NPC (if you're squeamish about causing bad feelings with fellow gamers.). Or, we can just have demo's in other ways, or just talk it out in character like last time. I can do it any way you wish! It's a chance to do something off-beat for fun, but you don't have to do this at all, so no pressure. Tevish just opened the door with words of "wager" and "demonstration"...and that's what you get with an arena fighter like Lug.

You're all going to get hired, it just depends on how you want to do it!

I'm down for whatever, though I'd feel bad for spellcasters going up against me one-on-one, since I could kill most of them in 2 turns. Honestly, Fel wouldn't be interested in fighting his party since be basically did that with his last party and lost his friends/job at once.

I doubt a spell caster of any sort would knowingly climb into the ring with a barbarian. They can simply cast a fireball or lightning bolt to show their qualifications. I have plenty of NPCs that you could more appropriately bash on, or maybe the manly cleric of Kord would want to swing some? Hmmmm? . Anyway, there's many ways an arena demonstration could be done, differing by character type/choice, and that's an option I leave open.

Bronhild doesn't need a reason to test his strength against a worthy opponent. I'm down with the arena business, if'n that's what you wanna cook up for us.
