Because it's going to happen eventually... lets talk about combat:

Did everyone check out the google doc's map and are they okay with using that sort of combat map? I'm not going to treat the grid as law and in fact several of the fights in this module can be done without a map at all. But its a nice way to relay who is where and what the shape of the room is for some of the encounters.

Can I get an image from everyone to use as your tokens for the battles? Something easy to tell is 'your character' that can represent you on the map. I can do all the cropping and stuff, I just need the pictures.

Now that we know who's in this game, guess I could ask about the personal turns vs group turns. I'm honestly fine with either way.

Google doc's map? I think you forgot to link it, unless "current combat map" is not where I should be looking?

I had a test one in the Sign Up thread since starting the post. One that players could get in and tinker with.

I didn't want people breaking formulas and such while getting the hang of stuff and I didnt want to give away the maps before it was time.

Home from work. Today is my halfday and tomorrow is my day off so I'll be around quite a bit.

I'm gonna be working on a few things on the google doc map and tinkering with some of the stuff I need to do for the games I'm a player in but I'll keep an eye out here. If need be, I already have the next narrator post ready to go, whenever the group is content to move forward.

I basically know what I imagine my character looking like already, but there just isn't good art for it. Anything I try to Google is like sexy skinny pirates with open or no shirts or grotesque villainous pirates. So that image will have to hold until I draw something.

Psh... thats the point of the thread. Describe a character and people hunt it down. But I'll keep an eye out for something... I do a lot of DA surfing.

Well I mean, if you avoid the furries, and the bronies, and the fetish porn ... a lot of legitimate RPG artists post their stuff there. There's especially a lot of people that made art for Pathfinder around but I've bumped into a few artists for WotC, even saw a few things that I now know are PHB pics before the PHB came out lol.

Yeah I was mostly joking. A lot of decent stuff on DA - just a shame you always have to go in with waders on to find it.

I mostly use the 'more like this' feature and such. I never bother surfing random content or the 'new' feed.

If you have given me art to use for your token you can place your token in a square by typing "=yourname" so =Obed places DS's token and =Haldar for Neo and =Rhasta for Antigamer.

What about if we're in the wagon?

Well I don't have a way to put tokens in the same square unfortunately... so gonna have to use some imagination.
