DS: Is there anything else we need to do in the IC thread to indicate we're doing the three hour watch thing and taking a long rest?

Just posted on the setup thread, the background as well as the final version of the PC. Go have a look if you like.
By the way before we start I would like to ask you all where are you from? I am Greek but currently leave in Italy.

My character sheet has been updated. I apologize for the delay - had a busier weekend then expected. On that note I have two questions;

1) DS does Zoeng Fung have any particular animals held sacred to him. Birds preferably.
2) Anyone got any objections to us wasting an hour once we've rested up before setting off? I have a ritual I would like to cast.

By the way before we start I would like to ask you all where are you from? I am Greek but currently leave in Italy.

Manchester, England. And welcome to the game!

My sheet was updated already, I believe.

This is more of an IC question, no? I have no objections, but Chen might have :P

Brazil, but I guess you already know that :P
I live in a city called Belém. It's in the north of the country, close to the Amazon rainforest.

Welcome aboard, doc! :)

The symbols of Zoeng Fung are the sword, lightning, wind, the pheasant or phoenix, gunpowder or gunpowder weapons, ginger, black pepper, and durian.

Thanks guys, nice to be on board! Felbatista I have a couple of Italian friends that have recently gotten married and moved to Sao Paolo for work. They are in love with Brazil.

Leaving near the rainforest should also be quite an experience!

It is, altough I live in one of the big cities in the region, so it's not that different from your regular urban environment.

I'm on lunch break at work rn but drvonwolfen, if you're looking at the figures by the river that I mentioned in my previous post , there are no trees to jump up. Those are just the townsfolk by the river, and the area is clear of trees. The forest is back a mile.

yes...ooops i misread our post "The morning is cold and foggy. The dawning light filters through pale and gray, and the hills casting shadows toward the adventurers and the tree line." If I am allowed I would like to re-edit my post then. Since there are no trees I will delete that

I meant to ask about this before Chen and Sai headed out: Did we split the coins in the chest? We might need to before we purchase anything more than a glass of water.

Garren, Hon Yin does not have the material components for the spell, but if you just subtract 10gp from your sheet, we will handwave it this time.

Edit: I am also rolling with you having taken three minutes to prepare your wizard spells, but in the future, make an IC note. Also, you don't need to prepare find familiar as it is a ritual spell, so did you want to prepare a different third wizard spell?

1) Thanks for the handwave. No excuse for me not noticing that.

2) Will do from now on. I'm sorta so used to having sleeping/preparing new spells be the same thing it completely slipped my mind.

3) Huh. I guess I've been reading the ritual feature wrong this entire time. I always just read it as "The caster must also have the spell prepared and on his or her list of spells known". Why would it even be an 'or' statement? When would you have a spell prepped but not known? How could you? Man that could have been written a lot clearer. Anyway I've swapped it out for Colour Spray. Thanks for pointing that out.

I think this is meant for the cleric. If I remember well, clerics and druids can only cast ritual spells from their prepared spells, (since they get to know every spell in their lists) while other casters (wizards, bards, sorcerers) just need to know the spell. Warlocks are just different having their own mechanic through the pact of the tome to cast rituals as such.

EDIT

By the way what do the guards wear? Is anyone wounded? What weapons do they carry?

Here goes a Perception check if you need one
Perception
drvonwolfen rolled 1d20+5 and got a total of 10:
5

So I was thinking why don't we try to find a caravan to travel with? We can try to get hired as guards. And after I tell youabout the fact our pursuers don't know what they are looking for we can also come up with the idea of shipping the statuette to the other city while we act as decoy changing caravans. We could then reach the city ourselves or contact the monks to retrieve the item. Even if we get assaulted and defeated we can trade another item for our lives...too bad Swift Snake would never come up with this (btw I am posting from my cell so I will 're edit later
