I keep finding myself going to the IC thread and intent on posting but I just dont know what to say. Should we wait for further narration? Should we chatter among ourselves and RP paddling out of the tunnel?

Yeah sorry I'll be doing a 'welcome to chapter 1' thing to give you all a starting point. I should have it up tonight. I have a lot of games to post for...

As a random note the game will be becoming a lot more free-form at this point. I have a short list of things I can throw at you at this point if things start grinding to a halt but for the most part you are now masters of your own destinies. Think about what it is you want to do and where you wish to go. I'll provide any details you might require here in the OOC thread if requested.

Well, I'll be wanting a new home/base/labratory/library/research study place at some point and have no idea how to go about acquiring one.

Also, being that it might take me a while to get on that, any library should suffice in the interim. Knowledge local or geography for poointing me in the direction of one?

Perfectly possible. You'll have to loop back around towards Amarath a little but it shouldn't be an issue unless the invaders have already managed to conquer and set up full patrols inside the city and out of it. You could also raid some of the surrounding farm lands. One of them is bound to have a horse.


Vanya is your cohort. As for minions find a population center and get your name out there. Wow them a little. Basically find people and give them a reason to join you. You'll have a force in no time - though where you go recruiting will inform the type of minions you get.

Whats the nearest city and what do I know about it?

Ben'noach would technically be the closest city but it lies to the south - and thus through the invading army. There are also rumors (most likely substantiated by all the refugees that were camping out in Amarath) that it was put to the torch a little while back.

After that would probably be Felstrom. It's a massive fortress of a city in the east about four days travel from here (five given you'd probably have to make a lazy swing around Amarath to avoid attention as you are currently sat to the west). You honestly don't know a huge amount about the city. It's built into the foothills out east before reaching the mountains proper and it's a very insular place - had a few trade agreements with Amarath but that's about it as far as interaction goes. You hear they've had some war going on for hundreds of years with tribes from the mountains or some such but most of it's just rumors.

Greenton lies to the east and while a little further away then Felstrom it does have the advantage of being mostly planes and woods between your current position and there making a trip relatively easy. City is a big melting pot of different races and ideas so if your looking for a place to lay low it might be a good one to disappear into. Only real issue is they have some strict rules about magic and it's practitioners - mostly along the lines of 'shut up and pretend you can't unless you're in service to the city. Might prove an issue with two spellslingers in your party.

Greenton sounds like fun. Is my armor and such particularly noted for being 'Amarath Royal Guard' or do I have a tabard / insignia and such I can remove?

Depends. You do have a tabard that can be removed but the armour is still distinctive enough that residents of Amarath will recognize you (kinda the point really). As for people in other cities it's hard to say; unless they have had run-ins with the royal guard most will just assume your another adventurer.

Royal guard armor ... now available is black, dark blue, and "random adventurer".

At the moment i suppose my character will stick with the group since more high level killers is better then just 1. So he will go where ever consensus is. Wont post anything yet since there are only 3 of us at the moment. So unless anyone wants to be 1st to talk in in character, I'll wait and see how we look in the real world.

Although Alladar claim dibs on being the 1st to punch and or give kronos a telling off for being a usual wizard and saying his magic has saved the day. Followed by half our boats exploding, if he paid for future sight i think he should ask for his money back (Alladars thoughts not mine).

Four/five days travel on foot, or by horse? Cuz we're getting us some horses.

Specifically, I am picking up mine, and I'm sure we can steal a few others from the stable for anyone who doesn't already own one.

By horse. With two of the party having horses I assume that would be the case.

If were choosing a place Greenton sounds fun, I would like to see Kronos try not to stand out in a place that's against magic users . Alladar of course will just point at sword and go I am totally a fighter yep yep, don't know a thing about magic .

I can see it now, she uses her evolutions to gain both the Mount and Gills ability.... oh gods...

I'm awake now and gonna start typing away at my post again. I haaaaate rewriting things, they're never as good the second time.

A smaller post is up but mostly relays the same main points as the last one. I've also got my hands on the Lazarus extension now so hopefully I wont be losing any more posts.

Would reaaaaaaaaaaaally like to see some activity around here, I'm really enjoying this setting and character but at this point both Squinty and Shockwave appear to be out for the count and Monster Robot hasnt posted since July (six in-character pages ago). Leaving us with only BH, Zinger, and Lazymarine222....

Where do we go from here? Re-recruit and meet new players on the road? Prod the inactives and see if we can get some action?
