@Rstnme: that last bit of your post here deserves to go on something like tumblr's out of context d&d quotes!

Also, doubt it would matter much, but you can add a +1 racial bonus to that diplomacy roll as well.

Half-Elven group diplomacy for anyone within 10 squares of me... Not that I think that would likely really work with me annoying them and all...

Edit: Looks like its not needed! Who want shushi for lunch?

Just so we're clear, the shark head was a spell and Shushi are like ugly amphibian people.

Hahaha!!!

I imagine there was another thought in there of something like...

"...but I do have this ship battle map all prepared...it would be a shame to let it go to waste..."

Hahahahahahaha

I'm also very pleased by the low initiatives. Seems like there would be a lull in reaction when you see a giant shark head Pacman a bunch of sailors.

You know it kinda makes sense that the only guy who rolled a decent initiative is the one guy who has been itching for a fight this entire time.

By the way, I just had an idea that Nolan must be from other realm, where orcs act as orcs, not from the same realm as Talcar, that can explain his behavior and surprise by Talcar's oddities. That suits him better.

Edit: Change incorporated into background. :cloud9:

Sorry gents, going to be out of town until Sunday. Back to your regularly scheduled slaughtering-the-eating-your-enemies Monday!

On a scale of 1 - Chaotic Evil how bad would it be to just jump onto the orc ship, lift anchor and then ride away into the sunset while the fish-pun-people eat the easier halfling meal? Just throwing it out there.

It depends. If you're leaving the halflings as bait, that's evil. But if you're just trying to survive that's just selfish, not evil. Abandoning ship while requesting a refund is pure villainy.

Plus keep in mind the Paladin aboard.

Halflings as bait? Angry Paladin. (No obligation to protect them, but come on!)

Save your own hide? Slightly annoyed, until I remind you who is going to sail the ship.

Refund?! Evil!

At least being lawful I know you won't try to pull off something like random murder to appease your new masters...

It's all about perception...

Are we leaving the halflings as bait...or attempting unsuccessfully to draw the shushi away from the halflings? : )

I get the feeling that statement is going to come up a lot. Your entire class exists to be a perpetual downer on my glorious schemes doesn't it.

Halflings as bait? Angry Paladin. (No obligation to protect them, but come on!)

But they taste so much better then orcs! And they are fun-sized! The are in almost every conceivable way the better option here. They will die as they lived - nameless NPC's fulfilling there sole goal of making my life easier.

Refund?! Evil!

But if they all get eaten I have the full right to a refund! I paid them for passage to *insert town name* and their complete negligence in getting eaten means they can not fulfill the contract they have already taken coin for! It would be unlawful not to get a refund.

If they throw themselves overboard in an attempt to abandon ship, or something as stupid, I may allow it.

But it's awfully hard to collect from the dead. :p

I need to know to know the full initiative table to decide how much delay, but, for now, delay turn until someone move out of the way. I am thinking on throwing the plank between the ships at the sea, so the sushi will have a hard time bording the halfling ship, which is bigger.
