Well you know in Mafia Games you have the whole "Official Vote : JohnDoe"

And you know that the mafia place on WotC is called Paranoia Paradise?

Mmhmm, mmhmm.... go on.

Don't worry, Neo. Clipper has plate mail of the deep. You can breathe underwater, suffer no crushing damage from the depths, and can swim as if naked and unencumbered. Pretty sweet deal for a sailor, yes?

I think I need to get one of those for myself...

Well I may have been mafia in no less than ... five or so games in a row. And it started to be a running joke to Official Vote Bounty Hunter off the bat in every game.

And when Wizards finally decided to give mafia its own forum we got to pick the name, and OVBH was giving Px2 a run for its money. By a long shot they were the only two options that had a shot in the poll.

A lot of people voted for Px2 just cause they didnt want me to have a subforum named after me. =P But yeah, Px2 was almost named after me. Heh

That's it...even though it's night in the current game...
Vote: Bounty Hunter.

That would be a twist...having someone who's not even playing as mafia...

Mwahahaha.

On that note though, I'm usually much much better as town, but I tend to be a pretty awesome Mafia Don. *shrug*

OK, Neo, let me know if you got the message. I generally use a text file for my character sheets instead of stuff like Mythweavers, but please feel welcome to transfer the info to Mythweavers if you prefer that. In that case, I can look it over if you put it into a different format to ensure it transferred fine. Feel free to ask any questions you have regarding the sheet. In the table of saving throws, the message took out the spacing, but there are four columns, with numbers in each column. You can expand it out. If it reads +x/+x, that is all one column, else +x is a normal column. Again, ask if you have questions.

Yup, I got it. Honestly, haven't gotten a chance to really dig into it, but will do in the morning.
Thanks!

Yeah, but that means a fourth player and no more NPC dragging about the party. That's a good thing in my book.

I kinda want to run a mafia game where the majority are mafia and a few are FBI trying to take them down from the inside...

Do it. No issues here.

Also, (though most of them dont venture into this thread) I'm going to be setting up an archive of mafia data.

Who was what role, who won, etc. So I need to stop being lazy and get to typing up stuff at some point.

Perhaps, also, what do people do for the mafia's chat? Just let them PM each other, or do people find hidden chat rooms / message boards for them?

Is there a way to make it so dice rolls are visible in the thread review on the Post Reply page? I always have to reopen the thread in a new tab to check the numbers.

I'd ask that in the Forum Feature Request. Welder gets on it pretty quick.

Mafia normally talks via a site called QuickTopic. Or at least we did on WotC.

I'll dig up some examples.

http://www.quicktopic.com/46/H/FTmhTyCL78V - Full Metal Alchemist Mafia on WotC

http://www.quicktopic.com/46/H/NVaUWtXkneZ2 - GM notes from the same game.

Squinty's comment raises a question for my own adventure. It seems it's getting harder to get responses from folks. So I have a question. Is the enthusiasm for the Sea Dragon adventure waning for you guys? And if so, why?

Be as brutal as you want. I can't fix something if I don't know it's broke.

Catching up here now, too. My interest isn't waning in any of the games I'm in, this past weekend was just way too busy IRL. Sometimes I'm basically devoting a whole day to the forums, sometimes I just won't be able to be around for days. I had thought, with all the games in combat rounds, I'd be able to get away with it this weekend, so I only posted that I'd be busy in the mafia game. Sorry.

I'm extremely patient, though, and there's always other stuff to do. Let me say that I enjoy the pace of SDSS a lot.

And, as I look on it in hindsight, I actually like the way that Arcane_Archer is doing combat rounds (which may not translate well to 4e), give everyone about 72 hours to post their intentions for the round, then have everyone's turns take effect at once.

No worries, then, I understand IRL. I won't think further on it. Thanks for the reply, Planeshaper.

The idea of everyone posting at once and then resolving it seems like a really good idea. Truth be told, I was kinda considering a similar one myself except I have so many NPCs this combat I wasn't sure if it'd work...

I've played in a game that did it and it would have worked but the DM was being dumb about it. For example I was the cleric and would lance of faith. So if I LoF at the end of turn one and gave the rogue +2 to hit next turn, but then posted before the rogue on turn too with another LoF, rather than using logic he'd make one overide the other and fizzle out one of my turns. Was f'in annoying.

For me, you don't have to worry about that. If I call it wrong, we will always go back and fix it, and I will ask if there is any doubt. Hopefully, you've already seen that in action.
