The Story So Far

Chapter 1: New Beginnings in New Bark Town

Pokemon trainers Trevor Williams, Sam Green, Kato Takumura, and Jet have all arrived in New Bark Town in the Johto region to start their pokemon journey. After meeting, getting to know each other, and hearing some news on the gyms of the regions, Kato attempts to defeat the New Bark Town gym, but is drastically defeated. His Squirtle, Sheldon nearly dealt a fatal blow in the battle. After resting at the Pokemon Center, the group decides what to do next, but their thinking is interrupted by a sighting of a mist-like creature and the arrival of some strange men in uniforms. After a heated argument, the uniformed men leave on a boat that is headed for Kanto, while the group met a intern named Shelly and headed to Professor Elm's lab. After meeting with the Professor and gaining some pokemon eggs, as well as a new pokemon on their team, the group decieds to travel with Shelly on her way to Olivine City, and the set out onto Route 29 towards Cherrygrove City.

They have also met a trainer named Roger, who is a member of the very large and prestigious Torintine Family, who claims that he will surpass the last remnant of the old region trainers, Lance.

Chapter 2: Route 29

After setting out onto Route 29, the group is beset by a pack of Spinarak, who are angerily drawn out of the forest hunting a trainer who stumble into their territory. After a long battle, they manages to fatally wound one Spinarak and drive the rest away, with Shelly bringing a badly wounded one with them for treatment. Shelly brings them to the Gate between Route 29 and Route 46, where they were able to receive treatment for their pokemon. While there, they meet two trainers Joe and Oscar, and Sam and Jet challenge them to a friendly battle, with Joe and Oscar win quickly, but commend them for their skills. Meanwhile, Shelly learns that the Spinarak that she brought with them is now deaf from being hit by Sheldon's devastating round attack.

Chapter 3: Crisis in Cherrygrove City

Finally arriving in Cherrygrove, the group quickly settles in to the Pokémon center to sleep. Jet, unable to sleep inside, heads back to Route 29 to sleep and meets another trainer named Devon. The next day is stifling hot, so the group decides to go to the beach to cool down. Once there, the rest of the group meets Devon and his shiny Magikarp Rydl. They also meet two other trainers Rey and Joshua. But an attack from a (supposedly) uncontrolled Purloin causes Rydl to evolve and go on a rampage, gravely wounding Devon before getting knocked unconscious. The group managed to get him to the Pokémon center in time, and a quick blood transfusion from Jet and some assistance from the Cherrygove City gym leader saved Devon's life. After a quick battle outside the Pokecenter, the group decides to go get some pancakes to celebrate Devon's survival and plan their next move.

A warm sea breeze blows in from the sea as the S.S. Titan docks at New Bark Town, towering over the towns woefully tinier docks. The deck is amass with passengers from around the world, eagerly awaiting to disembark after a long trip to four different regions and several small islands. Many people, stand by the edge, gossiping about the strange circumstances that brought them to this tiny town.

There are also many young pokemon trainers standing on the deck. Trevor Williams, fresh from the Sinnoh region, leans against the guardrail with his partner, Damion a Riolu, hiding behind him, while he listens to the chatter of the other passengers and wonders if this is the right place to start his goal of becoming a gym leader



"Wonder why we couldn't dock at Olivine City like we were supposed to?"

"The captain said it was because the docks got damaged in some kind of explosion. Rumor has it that some weird pokemon was responsible"

"Ugghhh... can't wait to.... get to... uggg.. land... so... seasick.."

"Do you know if it's true that all the gym leaders in Johto and Kanto have been replaced? I Hear that some are even part of that massive Torintine family"

"Really? Well, I heard from my cousin who works at Indigo Plateau that something fell from the sky last month and hit Mt. Silver. I wonder what it could be"

"Ohhh, I hope I can meet Professor Oak in Goldenrod City!! Maybe he'll let me be on his talk show

"Don't get your hopes up..."

"Damn, looks like we're not going to see the Lighthouse for a while..." As far as Trevor could remember, the Gym Leader in Olivine favored the Steel type. "Just like... him." He whispered, bad memories passing through his mind. And this talk about Gym Leaders being replaced...

The thoughts almost made him forget Daimon hiding behind him, doing his best to pretend he wasn't there. "Come on, buddy. I'm sure you can beat the crap out of this weird pokemon, whatever it is." Trevor hid for himself that the real pokemon he wished his Riolu could beat is a certain Infernape...

Tiny finally drags himself into town carrying Jet on his back, who is exhausted after his long journey but brimming full of excitement to see a boat as large as the S.S. Titian. People scramble out of the way as he directs Tiny towards the boat, altho he stops from getting too close out of fear of the water

"What's that kid doing? Is he crazy or something!?"

"Watch out for it's tail!"

Jet smiles broadly as his eyes fall on the SS Titan. Clambering up Tiny's head to get a better view of the massive ship he barely notices the crowd of people scattering below. "Would ya look at the size of that thing! Who knew they made boats big enough to carry you eh bro? Want to see if they'll let us on board?" Looking down he notices Tiny's eyes locked beneath the ship at the water. "Oh fine ya big baby. You don't have to get any closer. But let me down okay? Then you can go have a nap or something." With a satisfied growl Tiny lowers his head to drop of his passenger before coiling into a heap in the center of the town.

Various people on the deck run over to the front guardrail to observe Jet and Tiny, as they caused quite a commotion

"Oh, that terrible Onix just scared the wits out of my Pachirisu!"

"Who is that kid? Anyone know him. It's like he's never seen a cruise ship before"

"I wonder if he is the new gym leader for New Bark Town? He looks pretty strong"

"That imbecile? No way he's a gym leader. But at least he has the sense to take his Onix's feelings into account"

Trevor starts wondering who's really the imbecile. "I certainly wouldn't be that rude with the boy this close to his Onix", he says. Daimon starts looking to somewhere else, probably to divert attention. Trevor talks to encourage his little friend. "Let's go, chap. Time to meet the elefant big rock snake in the room." Trevor and Daimon head towards the ship's exit.

Jet pushes his way through the grumbling crowd of disembarking passengers until he stands at the very bottom of the gang plank of the massive Titan. His eyes flit from passenger to passenger inspecting their clothes and faces - though he suddenly stops when one of the passengers, a trainer by his looks, catches his eye. Rushing up the gang plank he stops only a few inches short of running straight into Trevor before dropping into a crouch and addressing the Riolu. "Hey there little guy! Well ain't you the coolest whatever-you-are I've ever seen! You got a name?"

Trevor angrily looks at his pokemon. "Where are your manners, Daimon? At least say thanks when someone compliments you!" Daimon starts looking at his own feet, hands behind his body. Trevor now smiles to Jet. "Sorry about my Riolu. He's not very good at making friends. That's a very big Onix you have over there, little buddy. What's your name? Mine is Trevor Willians. You might have heard about my father, Daimon Willians, a..." Trevor stops for a second "... former Gym Leader in Sinnoh." Trevor extends his hand for Jet to shake.

"A Riolu eh? I'll have to remember that." Jet jumps back to full height and shakes Trevor's hand vigorously. "Name's Jet. The big guy over there is Tiny. So your the son of a gym leader huh? That's pretty impressive! Can't say I know the name though. Sinnoh's the big island to the far south right? Your pretty far from home. What brings you to Johto?"

"Tell me about being far from home. I was counting the days to get out of that big bathtub." Trevor realizes how far they are from home, and how much hotter Johto is compared to his homeland. "My business here include capturing new Pokemons and becoming a better trainer, to hopefully reopen my father's Gym back home." Trevor didn't feel the need to mention anything more about his past to a complete stranger, as much as the kid looked nice. "Short term plans were to go to Olivine, though. I wanted to chat a little with Jasmine. The Steel type is in my family's veins." It doesn't hurt that Jasmine is a beautiful woman too, thought Trevor. "Do you have any clue about why the ship docked here instead of there, Jet buddy? Are any of those rumors about explosions and Gym Leaders being replaced true?"

Jet strokes his chin for a second while pondering. "Ha. Can't say I know a thing. I was as surprised to see the boat here as anyone. Hmm. Olivine is a little outside my territory but I know there's a gym in Violet City a little to the north west of here. Used to be ran by some bird guy. You could always check there to see if it's got a new leader. If you want to re-open a gym you'll need badges anyway right? Can't hurt to stop by anyway."

As Jet and Trevor talk, they also hear snippets of passing conversations

"Anybody know where to find the New Bark Town gym?"

"Yes Officer Jenny, he is right over there, talking to that kid with a Riolu. Maybe a talk with you will drill some sense into him"

"Boat Rides! Offering Boat rides to Indigo Plateau and the Kanto Region! Cheap, fast, and affordable!"

"Man, I can believe she went and did that to you"

"Looks like Officer Jenny and the local population aren't really happy with Tiny taking a nap in a public space." Trevor walks towards the Onix while casually checking his Pokedex for the Onix entry. He keeps talking to Jet while cuddling Tiny's head. "Maybe you guys can join us in the walk to Violet. It's not like I know Johto very well, and it's always nice to have someone to talk during the trip. Maybe you can tell me what you and ol' Tiny over here do for a living."

Jet considers Trevor's words before giving out a quick laugh. "Ah don't worry about the locals. They love Tiny! I mean who wouldn't? Look at that adorable face!" At mention of his name Tiny opens a single eye, looks over Trevor and Daimon, then proceeds to return to his nap, the low rumbling of his snores reverberating through the air. Jet shakes his head and turns back to Trevor. "Sorry about him. We were traveling for a day solid to get here and he get's cranky when he doesn't get to nap." He sidles closer to Trevor and raises a hand to cover his mouth. "Between you and me he's kinda lazy."

A female police officer walks over to the pair of new trainers while they are talking.

"Excuse me sir, is this your Onix?" she asks Jet

Hearing the voice behind him Jet spins round and throws on a wide grin. "He sure is officer! I know - he's the best onix you've ever seen right? It's okay if you want to pet him. Don't let his rough exterior fool ya he's really a big softy. Or was there something he can do for you? Tiny's always willing help out!"

Officer Jenny just stares at Jet for a moment, seemingly puzzeld. "Well, your little joyride through town could of caused a lot of damage. You were lucky that no one got hurt, or you would get in serious trouble." She says, "I'll let you off with a warning this time, but please be more careful. Also, please put your Onix back into it's pokeball, and keep it there while you are in public. It takes up too much space."

Jet looks positively heartbroken at Jenny's request. "But that's not fair! It isn't his fault he's so big! He..." Jet trails off before he can finish his sentence and sighs. Reaching into his coat he produces a Pokeball and points it at Tiny "...come on Tiny you know the drill. Return." The red beam from the ball envelops the onix and in a flash it is gone. Jet turns back back at Jenny. "Okay it's done. Did you need anything else?"
