Pinky Promise:
The Truth Will Out
A Pinky Promise is the most sacred serious vow one can make. It comes straight from the heart and binds two souls together. To break a Pinky Promise is to invite serious discord into your life. In this game promises will be made and they will be broken. Will you be faithful to your vows? The jaded betrayed? Perhaps the ultimate betrayer?
The battle lines in this game will be standard. 10-12 players, ¼ non-town roles give or take per power levels utilized. All abilities in this game will revolve around making Pinky Promises with other players, however. Do not be mistaken, no player will have to make a Pinky Promise. Doing so may or may not behoove you depending on what your role in the game is, or does, or can be.
The Rules
- Any Rule not found within these Rules is not a rule.
- There is no discussing the game with anyone outside of Mod provided methods (ie, the Game Thread, Discords, etc).
- Do not post in hard to read colors/fonts/codes/intentionally deceptive methods with regards to votes (the last is mostly for my sake on doing quick reviews of the thread for votes and the like).
- Do not post to the Game Thread during Night or after Death.
- Days will last 72 hours and nights will last 48. If you anticipate being absent for more than 48 hours, please give notice.
- During the day Lynches will be decided by majority vote. Barring that the player with the most votes at deadline exceeding ¼ of the living player base will be lynched. If no player exceeds ¼ of the player base, no lynch will be held. In the event of a tie random votes will be removed until the tie is broken.
- Votes for the lynch must be bolded, colored, and set apart from any large blocks of text in order to be counted. Each player only has 1 vote per day. Cast them wisely.
- Don’t be a dick. It’s perfectly fine to rub each other the wrong way, this is a competition after all. But that said, be weary of the line and do not cross it. If I feel you do I will remove you without warning.
- Ask all the questions. People never ask the questions. They just make assumptions. Totally ask questions. It’s a rule.
- As always, any role that circumvents these rules takes priority over these rules.
The Conditions
All win conditions are as follows:
Town wins the game when all threats to the Town have been eliminated.
Mafia wins the game when they comprise a majority of living players and nothing can change that.
Any other factions will be given their win condition in their PM.
The Promises
The game will undoubtedly have many hidden Promises which can be made or broken. However, there are open Promises to be made as well. The most obvious will be Promises not to target, lynch, or just basic truthing. But you can essentially Pinky Promise anything you’d like. Be mindful, though, that if you break even a basic Promise there may be consequences to suffer. As in the last game this game will not be alignment breakable. Non-town players will not be punished for promising they are town, the game will not recognize those promises as broken mechanically. Keep that in mind when you receive your role and plot your strategies.
