M0nster's Cute Mafia Game of Cute Lil' Monsters
This is my game. It is a non-standard Mafia game for 9 10 players. It will confuse and annoy you, but also amuse and titillate you, with a healthy dose of confound, irritate, perturb, frustrate, enlighten, stupify, and adore you, sometimes all at once. Do not play without consulting a doctor. That's a joke. Maybe.
Here are the rules that I blatantly stole from Zinger's game and edited to suit my needs because I am lazy and didn't want to come up with them all myself. Read them or don't, but know that ignorance of the rules won't protect you from punishments for breaking them.
The Rules
If you don't understand your role or the rules, feel free to ask me about it. I'll answer your questions if it doesn't hurt my chances of winning. Oh yeah, in case you somehow weren't aware, I'll be playing in this game too! Now you're probably thinking "But wait! How is that fair? You know everyone's roles and alignments and stuff..." To which I say... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh that's rich, you thought this game would be fair. HA!
No, but seriously, my role has an ability called Omniscience, and it's basically a passive ability that grants me knowledge of every working piece of the game, so like even if I gave this uber role to one of you, I'd still have to tell you everything. That's why it doesn't matter that I'm both a Mod and a Player, mostly. But that's enough about my role, let's talk about yours.
You each get to be a Cute Lil' Monster™. Each monster has a color that is tied to their alignment and win conditions. I.E. if you are a Pink Lil' Monster, it means you are also Pink-Aligned and have the Pink Win Condition. If you later become a Red Lil' Monster, you will also be Red-Aligned and have the Red Win Condition. You can't be a Pink Monster and have a Red Win Condition. That's not possible. It defies the laws of Cuteness, and we won't be doing any of that this game. Got it? Good.
Time to introduce you to my Cute Lil' Monsters.
Smart Lil' Monsters have already noticed that there are 9 10 Lil' Monsters and 9 10 of you. You get a gold star.
Here's how the story goes. In the beginning, there were 7 Chaos Emeralds. Yes, the very same 7 Chaos Emeralds from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series, but for legal reasons we can't associate with them at all so just forget all about that why don't cha. Anyway, there were these 7 legally distinct Emeralds of Chaos, each with the power to alter reality in their own way, but they were lonely so they created the first monster to be their friend (we'll call her M0nster to distinguish her from the Lil' Monsters). Problem was, M0nster was forgetful and a klutz so she kept losing these really important reality warping Chaos Emeralds all over the universe. Eventually, she decided to split herself up into 10 Lil' Monsters so they could keep better track of the Chaos Emeralds. Why 10 and not 7? Base 10 math is easier than base 7 math, obviously. The 7 Chaos Emeralds were each entrusted to one Lil' Monster, who slowly changed their form to match the aura of the Chaos Emerald they got. The 3 leftover Lil' Monsters who did not get a Chaos Emerald also changed their form to better match the feeling they felt from being left out, jealousy, apathy, and confusion. This is how the world of Lil' Monsters was made, and it was beautiful and good. But then things changed. Some of the Lil' Monsters thought their form was a more perfect form than the others, and set about trying to make others conform to their auras. Some discovered there was more to life than watching over Chaos Emeralds and began to give themselves new purposes. Some decided they coveted what the others had that they lacked. As the Lil' Monsters changed on the inside, so too did they change on the outside, and the peaceful beautiful cute world of Lil' Monsters was thrown into chaos.
Only you, the Lil' Monsters, can determine its ultimate fate!
