Among Us is a game of teamwork and betrayal. Players are either Crewmates or Imposters. Crewmates will complete any tasks assigned to them (use role abilities) while the Imposters will kill or sabotage (try to create mislynch) the crew. Each Discussion phase will last 72 hours, during which each player will discuss who they think is an Imposter and why. During the last 48 hours players will be able to cast a vote for their choice and the player with the most votes will be ejected from the ship. The game will then enter the task phase during which players with assigned actions will complete them; this phase will last 24 hours.

• Players may not talk about the game outside of the thread without permission.
• Do not edit, delete, post in hard to read colors, or post in a manner that's intentionally deceptive by it's appearance (for example, "invisitext" or coloring but not bolding a vote).
• Do not post during the Task phase. Naturally accidental posts will be forgiven, but flagerant disregard of this rule may result in modkill.
• Do not post in the game thread after you have been killed. Not even a "bah I'm dead" post.
• Please give notice of any absence that is going to exceed 48 hours. Failure to do so may result in your replacement without warning. Take this as a forewarning that your activity will be monitored by your presence in this game, either by posting in thread, in any secondary capacity your role might include, or pming me directly if you wish to make it known you're present without making it known you're present.
• Votes must PMed to the Mod during the last 48 hours of the discussion phase. A recap will be posted at the end of the phase.
• Once deadline is reached, the player with the most votes will be lynched. In the event of a tie, no player will be ejected.
• Be courteous of other players/observers/mods. And by this I mean on a personal level. Do not carry grudges into the game and be mindful of if an issue is striking a personal cord. Everybody is here to have fun, so mostly just don't do anything to try to undermine that or the games integrity.
• Ask questions. I've done more than my fair share of mafia mentoring so don't be afraid to ask questions about your role or any mechanics in the game that you don't quite understand or might work differently than you think it does. If I can't answer a question because of the game integrity, I'll tell you as much and won't just leave you hanging. As the old saying goes, better safe than sorry. So ask questions.

• The Imposters win when the crewmates can no longer eject them.

Ok, let's get this thing going!

So I was thinking that we ought to, as a community, formalize our opening plays. I recommend the following (for every game):

1) Town lynches KoD
2) Mafia shoots Amber

This solves KoD's basic need to be mafia and murder Amber while also allowing us to deal with KoD. As a bonus, this model also generally reverses causality, which is aesthetically pleasing to those who appreciate situational irony.

Seems like an easy way to remove two people right away. Not that I mind Amber being shot, but it only works if ***I*** shoot Amber.

We assume that you are killing Amber, albeit by leaving your mafia buddies with instructions for her termination.

Or, as the case may be, by leaving your mafia non-buddies (pre-game) instructions that they carry out for no particularly compelling reason.

Once upon a few games ago, during Naga's game, I tried to get PK and JD to let me kill Amber. They wouldn't let me. Even as Town.

I don't expect mafia to go along with your proposal as every game is different and could have circumstances that make them decide otherwise.

As for Town killing me,

PK and JD are two of the least likely to let you get away with pointless vengeful nonsense.

So, we'll ban them.

And/or they're not in this game.

But that was a different game which helps to underscore my point.

I've asked the mod and we are allowed to directly quote our role pms.

That probably means it can't be gamed effectively, but it's hard to be sure.

I was just joking, I have no reason to lynch KoD now except for prior game trauma which doesn't make good justification for this game.

I am planning to maintain my NLP in this game. It will also apply retroactively as far as my charitable feelings toward KoD are concerned.
