Event (Light)

The nuclear menace

In a planet where almost all the surface is dominated by water lives an aquatic race. That race recently developed nuclear power. Despite this important achievement the world population lives in very different degrees of technology, almost all of them having little access to any kind of the benefits provided by that technology.

After a long period of discussion, evaluation and widespread revolts, one of the countries managed to construct a nuclear plant. Theoretically constructed somewhere safe, beneath the earth of dry ground. A new threshold of technology is about to be reached by this country. Other countries are not satisfied with this predicament.

Event:

In order to construct the power plant, they first had to make a way to travel safely outside of the water, leading to the creation of an apparatus allowing an individual to absorb oxygen from the air and add it to a water circulation system contained in a suit worn by the individual.

(Do we go in turn order or do we just have a post/tie period limit? Also, how does changing the focus work?)

Event:
As the power sources moved ashore, so did the industrial base. With industry came settlement. In time, the inland outposts became full-fledged colonies which rivalled their home nations in power. Unequal treatment by the home waters led many of the land dwellers to call for change.

Scene (Light)

Inside the event "The Nuclear Menace"

The dreamer scientist

One of the chief scientists, responsible for the construction of the nuclear power plant is inside his house built on dry ground, looking at the bright night through the window. A dangerous and expensive house where one mistake can lead to the death of all his occupants by dehydration.

His name is Schprlik Hgsfizz. He looks at the stars and dreams about them. In his mind, he already acquired the seed for his new project. A spaceship to reach the stars. He will have to lick some butts and pull some strings, but his new notoriety will probably get what he wants.

He opens one of his two mouths and extends two long and mobile tongues to grab a sharp object and scratch it with his new ideas. Something his webbed hands could not do.

OK, let's skip forward a bit for the next focus.

Focus: finding the destination.

Period (dark): Lost in the void

Most of the colony ships were lost within the second generation. Some simply malfunctioned and caused the death of all aboard, some lost their course and might still be traveling through distant star systems. Some experienced revolution and war, either within the ships or between them. Soon the fleet consisted of only three ships, staying together out of necessity, not choice, floating through empty space and seeking a new home.

Event (Dark)

Inside the period Lost in The Void

Frozen Hope

The ships launched in a hurry to save their species and soon all resources would be depleted. Luckily they found a solution in the end of the second generation, more late than it should have, since they live around 200 years. They were able to create a cryogenic chamber that works.

That creation allowed them to spare resources, but due to the lack of them in these times, only 3 persons were able to keep out of the cryogenic chambers at the same time.
