Welcome to Gintama Mafia: Curse of the Monkey’s Paw!
A cursed monkey paw has been discovered recently in the Kabukicho district. It is capable of granting three wishes, but at a great cost. Three of you have conspired together to split the wishes from the cursed relic. It's up to the other nine of you to thwart their plans.
Gintama Mafia: Curse of the Monkey’s Paw is a standard 12 player mafia game. At the beginning of the game players will be presented with three roles and will be able to select one. Each role has three one-shot abilities available to them. As this is a relatively busy game mechanically, there are some special rules describing how mechanics interact.
Special Rules
Ability Strength Certain abilities have a strength modifier attached to them. If a player is targeted with a level 1 killing action and a level 2 protecting action in the same night, the kill will fail. Killing and Investigating actions will always have odd power levels, and Protecting and Concealing actions will always have even power levels, so as to avoid ties.
Resolution Order In the event that a player is targeted by multiple abilities in the same night, the order in which the abilities resolve is normally determined by the following: -Abilities will be applied in the order of their strength -In the event of multiple abilities with the same strength level, abilities will be applied based on the order they were sent to me.
Success/Failure An ability will succeed by default, but several things can cause it to fail. A kill stronger than a given protection ability applied to the same target will cause that ability to fail, and vice-versa. The same is true for investigating and concealing. A redundant ability applied to a target (such as two kills or two protects) will fail. There may be other hidden methods by which an ability can fail. You will be told whether or not your ability succeeded when the action has been completed.
Here are the standard mafia rules, there are a few deviations from a regular game so I suggest you read them even if you are familiar with mafia.
Standard Rules
-This setup has 9 Comedy Aligned players and 3 Greed Aligned players. -Comedy Aligned players will have their complete roles revealed on death. -Greed Aligned players will only have their role names and alignments revealed on death. -Three sets of Gintama characters were randomly chosen to be greed aligned. The game is not breakable via flavor. -Players can only use one ability per day and one ability per night unless otherwise stated. -Days will last 10 days. Nights will last 3 days. Day and night do not start until announced, but they will end precisely on schedule. Players may talk after the deadline for daytime expires so long as it is before the lynch's result is announced, but votes during this time will not be counted. -Votes must be bolded and colored. -Votes for either "No Lynch" or "Random Lynch" will be accepted. -At the end of the day votes will be counted and the player with the most votes will be lynched. In the event of a no lynch, no player will be lynched. In the event of a random lynch, a random player will be lynched. -Players may end the day early with agreement from the majority of players to do so. -Players may not post during night -Players may not talk about the game outside the thread unless otherwise specified -Players may not edit their posts -Communication via secret methods (ie: ciphers and invisible text) are not allowed. -Replacements will be provided as needed. Inactive players may be prodded and replaced. And finally, have fun!
The game will officially begin when every player has confirmed via PM. Votes and abilities will not be counted until then.
(Special thanks to Ragnarokio for helping reformat the rules into something digestible.)

That's actually a pretty cool ability. Not sure about the functionality what with it being more likely to hurt us then help us (being more likely to hit a townie then scum and all) but certainly a fun ability. Kinda want it to come down to you vs two scum now just so you can flip the table on them by switching ones alignment and taking the win. That would be hilarious.

Also, to correct myself, it technically doesn't say that the targeted player switches alignments, rather, that the targeted player is allowed to win with the other team. I don't know if that actually changes their alignment or just broadens their win condition.
Assuming Zinger is on the level and isn't just channeling PK, we have a few obvious scenarios. -Nobody requests -Scum requests and sells out scumbuddies -Scum requests and pretends to sell out scumbuddies while actually naming at least one townie in the mix of sold out comrades. -Town requests and pretends to sell out scumbuddies while actually naming other players whose alignment they are probably unaware of.
Both of the last two seem to be sort of a stretch because Zinger can obviously just choose not to try to switch the player's alignment/broaden their win condition until both of the other named players have flipped scum. Seems very likely that anyone who bothers to request the change will actually be scum.
Also, because fun rules.
