You were right, for the wrong reason

The Confused defense I put up in itself was pretty flawless (The point about claimed cop survival stands almost always. Cops really should never live until endgame). What could've led to my demise was the proposal to kill zinger.
I did come to my senses a short while later, but at that point in time, it was not a good move of mine. Fortunately 15377 put up the keep-both-alive plan almost immediately thereafter, so discussion went that way.
The modified ones are I think most logical here.
There are not too many people that know everything, and it gives both extra information about mafia as a game in general, but without knowing each others weapons exactly as town/mafia.

I also have games ready, but they're almost always pretty fluffy. So I'll hold on to them for now.

I disagree, the cop was partially confirmed due to zinger claim, that correctly identified a powerrole in a basic set-up, both had a good argument to be what they claimed(as opposed to someone claiming cop when nearly lynched) and two investigative roles strongly suggested a false negative in the set-up and/or the lack of a doc.

Leaving both alive made perfect sense considering that the putted a good amount of pressure on the mafia and both had a reason to be what they claimed.

Well, you started of alright, but you just seemed to lost track of the game after that.
Not that I'm blaming you, after all, you didn't know beforehand what you were getting in to and part of this game was to see how people would like this.

What I do most of the time is keep a small notepad file by hand, in which I keep track of interesting posts (either by number, or by what page they were on). That way, when I reread the thread, I don't actually have to reread everything. I got a feeling that that issue is what was keeping you out of the discussions at the end.

My biggest thing on the last day was that while I had been willing to lynch Jac on other days, 15377 was saying things like:

I mean, I just don't know how to read that other than "I know Jac's role and he's with me on this." It just reads scummy, lol. Oh well. I made the wrong call and it cost us the game, and I'm okay with that. I mean, it's not like town made any right calls on the other days besides Day 1...

The important part there is the paragraph before, in which I explained why mafia couldn't wagon on me. Then I gave JaC the go ahead to set up the end, because I knew he was scum whose hands were tied. So yeah, you could say I knew JaC's role and we were on the same page.

What I didn't know was who the third was. Shock's play was bad, but also came off slightly inexperienced, Lilian's play was brilliant though. Fred was solid until he made his teams declaration and posited it as definitively one or the other. That's the only reason I was looking his way at all. You fell victim to JaC, who used the hide in plain site philosophy with the babyface statement. It left a "giving away mafia secrets" taste in my mouth so I was thinking you were babyface when he opted to point at you over the much more suspicious tony. To weed out which was the actual third, I needed the day to not fall into JaC vs Jay, as things would just get lost in between our posts.

At the end of the day when Fred didn't tack on a vote, it was clear he was out of the running, so it became a gamble between if the third was already voting for me, or if they were waiting in the wings for Fred to finally come around. I'd say we both gambled there, and we both lost.

Just so you guys know, Freddeh and I are pretty close to starting.
We just want to make sure we are able to give you guys as accurate information as possible, while still not giving anything away.

Don't worry about it. I played for 6 years before I finally won a game for town.
Some people are just better at playing as mafia. And you don't know if you are one of them until you play more

X-Men Mafia and Full Metal Alchemist Mafia were both amazing games for me as town, but even I have my ups and downs. Hell, even on both sides, the game is fluid and the same actions that will win a gambit one game wont another.

Well, I'll be seeing if I can actually win a game in the new one... we'll see.
