Hello World (3): Skystone, Tevish Szat, Aaarrrgh
Skystone (1): Hello World

Not Voting (8): Rubik, Ragnarokio, Naga, shadow amber, Duskyblue, Skystone, _ExLight, Minish

It takes 6 votes to form a majority. Hello World is at L -3.

Is this the corrected version?

As far as I can see Skystone did not cast a vote. So... Either it's a Skystone ability or a game mechanic automatically counter voting if the vote isn't cast.

Vote:Rubik
just to see if I get a counter vote.

at least till we gen some info on how this works or something

But.... Zinger said No Lynch results in KoD choosing who dies.

I'm basically vanilla. My role has a bunch of fluff, and then tells me none of it matters. I don't know if there's any bastardy which could change that later, but right now I only have my vote.

The big question is what triggers the end of the game in that case.

It is unclear to me why we would want to mass-reveal Day 1. Day 2, perhaps. But we do not even know what sorts of night actions are available to any potential enemy (is there an actual 'rebel' faction? Do they actually possess a night kill? Are they even anti-town as such?), so at this point claiming either exposes any power roles that we might have, or forces townies to lie, neither of which are helpful. It may be the case that we are in some sort of ridiculous all-town extravaganza, but that possibility does not justify compromising our ability to deal with other potential configurations of the game.

It is, to that end, especially unclear to me why we would mass-reveal at the request of a part essentially confirmed, in the context of this game, to be nefarious.

I, for one, am cooperating in order to win the good will of the glorious monarchy. Because I don't want to die.

Eh, I think that as soon as someone claims villager we stop claiming, if you want to claim non-villager don't claim instead.

First off, the monarchy only gains the power to lynch if we fail to do our jobs as arbiters of chaos.

Second, the proposed motivation of the monarch is to alleviate boredom, not to raise sycophantic lackeys. The King is actually, factually KoD. He is as likely to lynch those of us who offend him (e.g. me) as he is those who do not make the game sufficiently interesting (e.g., apparently, not me).

That has the same result of exposing of non-basic town (assuming, reasonably, that scum won't claim to be scum), and thus gives any potential scum -- or, as the case me be, power hungry monarchs -- an effective list of power roles.

Assuming, of course, that KoD has a functional role. If he is actively invested (in the sense of have an actual wincon) in not being overthrown, he might indeed play to win, but that still doesn't really suggest that we can curry his favour in any material or meaningful way.

"What good is a taxidermist anyway? I say we Lynch him!" One man says from the mob, to which the rabble mumbles in half-hearted agreement.

"Hey!" The Taxidermist screams, "I could say the same thing about used cart salesmen!" Another series of mumbled nods.

"Guys, guys, we're not seriously going through with all this, are we?" The Innkeeper says, being the voice of reason. "I mean, if we all band together, the King can't force us to kill each other, can he?"

The mob looks at each other, and then back at the Innkeeper. Someone proposes "Y'all wanna lynch him?" To which, they reply "Yeah, why not?" And start pilling on votes...

The King of Dominaria smiles his seditious grin and leans over to whisper to his waifu, "And you wanted to spend the day in the garden. Ha."

Votecount 1.2

Hello World (3): Skystone, Tevish Szat, Aaarrrgh
Ragnarokio (2): Rubik
Skystone (1): Hello World
Rubik (1): Duskyblue

Not Voting (6): Ragnarokio, Naga, shadow amber, Skystone, _ExLight, Minish

It takes 6 votes to form a majority. Hello World is at L -3.

I think you guys are overthinking all this. As entertaining as it is to see how each of you are progressing, you're missing something of great importance. The opinions of your silent fellows. What fun is there to be had in a royal game, such as this one, when you don't have everyone participating? Frankly, those of you tossing ideas around are a delightful cure to the boredom I've been experiencing when you'd all lynch me, leaving various games in the jaws of overbearing silence.

Thankfully, though, we won't have that problem here. I'll be with you guys throughout the duration of this most joyous game while you all, one by one, get to be me (symbolically of course).

To address something that was mentioned, it matters not to me if you try to offend me. Understandably, you guys might be under a bit of duress in this life or death game for my amusement. I can appreciate that. Truly. It would be so bland of me to do that. Instead, it is much more entertaining if you guys plead a case to me on who to execute should you not be able to come to a decision. I may not listen, but I have enough heart to hear you all out initially. After all, some of you don't want to die, and I can appreciate that.

That being said, consider it a precaution should you end up not agreeing on just one person you would rather see disappear.

I certainly don't have to get rid of someone for antagonizing me, and surely I am able to gain unrivaled entertainment this way from anyone that is participating. That is, unless they remain silent, and choose not to participate. In which case I'd honestly be hard pressed to not make that one the person of the hour.

Now then, as far as I am concerned, you are all my loyal subjects. The purpose of all this, aside from the benefits of entertainment for me, is to bestow honor and glory upon all of you for this humbling service you are all a part of. Your names will go down in history as some of the most important figures in Dominaria. I'll certainly see to it. So for the sake of all of us, don't ruin the game by creating a hazardous situation that will cause you guys to drink glasses of WIFOM. As much as I love it, I'd prefer you guys being sane throughout all of this.

So by my decree, you guys shall not mass claim today. Other days I care not, but not this day. Otherwise, someone will be made an example out of to underscore the point in rebelling against my decision. Trust me when I say it'll hurt me more than it will hurt you. Kinda.

That should cover everything I want to address. Ultimately you guys are the main players in this glorious game so don't let me draw you from whatever path you guys want to oursue; however, I am watching intently to see how you guys go about everything. My curiosity needs to be sated by how you guys proceed, just like a juicy book that building a grand stage to play out a dazzling act.

All for me.

Don't let me down guys. Especially you, Minish. I expect to see a grand finale from you.

It is not essentially confirmed anywhere that I am nefarious. As Zinger points out in a (later than the quoted) post, I'd rather be gardening.

The purpose of a day 1 mass claim is to clear the confusion. I think it's very clear there are two factions outside of the crown, and assuming there is only one will lead to much death and heartache for my subjects. I'm inclined to believe they are not directly opposed to each other, but more in a foot race to the finish. Being open with each other allows both sides to collude to a quicker finish, which allows me to get back to my garden. Plus my husbando doesn't want you to, so that should be reason enough to do it.
