The adventurers are separated by the sudden appearance of a pit in front of the door. Leskyn , Marek and Du'tok are inside the tomb investigating the chamber when the zombies start to move turning in their direction, liberated from the trance that was holding them. Issyl is trapped at the other side of the pit without an easy access to his companions and Dairon is bloodied and confused lying at the bottom of the pit covered by the water that fell over him, filling the pit to three feet of height.
Issyl tries a bold action to reach his companions inside the tomb. His reward is a bold failure. He jumps trying to reach the door. His hands cannot reach its border and he clumsily collides with the silver door, falling inside the pit with Dairon. Luckily for him, the water now standing at the bottom of the pit softens his impact.
At the same time, inside the tomb, each turret fires a magic arrow against the closest targets, Leskyn and Marek. Leskyn dodges easily his arrow, however Marek is caught unaware and is pierced at his shoulder through his armor by a magical arrow.

Marek strides toward the northern-most zombie, and calls upon the wrath of his god to destroy the fiends. Then, because there's no such thing as enough wrath, he calls upon more wrath! Yar!

Marek's sequence of thunder and radiant blasts almost remove all threats in one move. All decrepit zombies crumble to the floor as piles of decomposed flesh. The other zombies withstand the attack, despite being steaming, pushed away, and dazed.
Dairon stands up, splashing a lot of water in the process. Realizing their dire situation, he looks around, trying to come up with a plan. He notices Du'Tok at the edge of the pit, and a light bulb turned on over his head. He grabs a rope in his backpack and shouts to the silent Deva. "Hey big man, little help here?" The Tiefling than throws one end of the rope to his companion.

Dairon throws the wet rope in Du'tok's direction. The wet rope weighing more than it is normal. He is hoping that the silent Deva would be capable of holding it, saving him and Issyl from their watery prison. The rope goes for about 5 feet over the air before collapsing inside the pit water. Maybe he should try again using some form of weight to facilitate the rope to uncoil.

Leskyn roars in frustration as he realizes the trap triggering beneath his feet. "Let's destroy these monsters!" His new axe drawn he rushes the zombie to the right.
Primal, Weapon • Standard Action Melee Weapon Effect: before the attack you shift 2 squares. You can move through an enemy's square during the shift, but you cannot end there. Target: One creature Strength Vs. AC Hit: 1W + Strenght modifier damage and you push the target 1 square. If you are raging, the attack deals 1d6 extra damage.
Du'Tok looks at the Tiefling's feeble attempt at throwing a rope and the elf's poor leap, and shakes his head. He grabs a rope from his pack lowering it into the pit before bracing himself against the door frame. "Up, quick,"
Du'Tok's actions
Free action: Drop sunrod.
Minor: Draw Rope
Minor (Substituting Standard): Lower rope into pit.
Leskyn swiftly moves to engage one of the zombies. His strike is precise, severing the zombie's head. He finishes his deft movement pushing the zombie's body to crumble at his place of choice while the head rolls away. Du'tok throws a rope inside the pit to help his trapped companions.
The altar pulses sending a wave of energy at the chamber. The air in front of it shimmers and a portal appears briefly, leaving another decrepit zombie inside the chamber. This zombie immediately moves to strike Leskyn with a slam at his arm. The dazed zombie also moves to engage Leskyn, but attacks only the air.
At the contiguous chamber, Du'tok and Dairon hear the trapdoor faintly move, like it is trying to return to the initial position.
Issyl stands up, leaving the water and rapidly acknowledges the situation. Du'tok is holding the rope for them to leave, but he cannot hold two persons at the same time. Only one can climb now and the other must wait the first one to clear the rope, otherwise three will be sharing this pit.
"Go ahead, Dairon. I am the military elf. It is my duty to be the last one."
Both turrets cock another arrow and fire again. One at Leskyn's direction and one at Marek's direction. Just one hit the target, the halfling barbarian is hit once again by an arrow at his leather armor, piercing it lightly.

Marek is pleased with his wrath. He strides across the room and presses himself against the wall in the hopes that's enough to prevent the southern turret from being able to see or target him. He then fires off to divine bolts at the remaining zombies.
OOC
Attacking S5 vs. Reflex: 11 Damage: 11
Attacking Z2 vs. Reflex: 21 Damage: 10
If attack vs. Z2 hits Marek gets +2 to AC until the end of his next turn.

Marek sends more bolts at the zombies, destroying one more and hurting severely the other one, when the bolt passes right through his chest, leaving a hole the size of an orange at the oblivious zombie. The zombie only rises his ugly eyeless head, after being able to recover from the last attack effect.
Dairon starts the climb of the rope with excessive will, rapidly winning the feet that separate him from freedom. Close to edge his sore muscles make he loses his grip on the rope and almost fall again. His reflex combined with a good dose of luck allows him to rapidly recover from his error and sustain his position, only giving a fierce pull on the rope that Du'tok must equal with all his strength to avoid being dragged inside the pit.
At the bottom of the pit, Issyl murmurs something unpublishable in frustation.
