Oh...I get it now...if I was mafia, I would have voted for HW and ended the game. So - does that fully clear me now?
If that's true, that leaves 3 suspects...now, assuming there's a no lynch today, I would *assume* I would get NK'ed...since it seems clear that I'm town... Which, actually makes lynch/no lynch not matter anymore...unless there's some chance that mafia kills someone other than me today...
I'm still not quite ready to throw my vote on SE, if I do that, and numbers is mafia, then the game is over... Of course, if I do that and numbers is town, and jumps on SE, then it's over...in the good way...
Feeling a bit uncertain here...HW - I don't really understand your post...PoE? I'm kind of inferring from that post that you have an ability...but maybe I'm way off...
PoE, power of exclusion, determining the last mafiate by excluding the more townish players. I was not talking about my role, but I guess I can talk about it now that we know who the last mafiate is.
I have also entered a game on paranoia paradise, where I announced that I was going to be v/la and without an internet connection until the 24 of February I didn't want this to affect the nightkill, and numbers(my friend) knew about this, I have given instructions to alt to post a post encompassing who I voted depending from who wha killed, here it is, now I just want my vote tomorrow to be on se. -------------------------- So, I'm v/la until the 24 of February, maybe I'll return before that, but most likely not before the deadline, I asked alt to post this message at the start of day if I'm not killed, since he said that he didn't want a replacement this late in the game, this is also a delayed vote that he will post.I already said that on the px2 forums, where jd has read it, but I wanted to not tell to the mafia about this until now in the hope of influencing the nightkill. So, I want my vote being for the player that numbers chooses to vote, if numbers is dead tomorrow, instead I will vote for SE.
Hoping that we manage to finalize this comeback. --------------------------------

Game over, mafia wins:
Unvote
Vote: squinty_eyes
With four left, and I am town, I die now with three votes (Neo, Hello and myself), another town dies tonight and tomorrow it's 1 mafia and 1 town so they can't win. But my interest in this game is over, so I'll help end it since that's the way it's gonna go. Also, my prediction is Hello World being scum since he's hellbent on proving me to be scum. I think he's tried his best to keep focus on a single player so no one can look at him. Just my assumption.
@HW, I think you misunderstand my motivations. I wasn't "crying" because you wouldn't follow me. My vote on Neo with no explanation was a gambit. I wanted to see reactions to it. After that time, keeping my vote there made Neo the only person that could be lynched without somebody voting for themselves. I stated as much in another move to see how people would react. My last gambit was to test Neo specifically when I voted you. If he was mafia he would jump and end day. If he didn't, he was likely clear. If SE was mafia, he wouldn't be able to capitalize on this L-1 situation and you wouldn't vote yourself, so unless Neo was scum, it wouldn't have affected the outcome of the day. However, if Neo was scum, it wouldn't have affected the outcome of the game, as he could just continue to a no lynch, off me in the night and then have your support on a town SE lynch the next day for a mafia win regardless. So risks here were minimized in though the entire game laid on the gamble. As I said earlier, I haven't town read anybody. This game has probably been, by a large margin, the worst game I've seen town play. Ever.
Incorrect. I merely said town's play this game has sucked. And it has.
So there's a strong possibility that there will be a tomorrow. Most of the votes from yesterday are post deadline, if I'm not mistaken. It's probable scum already knows this, and that's why everybody is maintaining cover. If HW is scum, he's already set up his auto hammer for tomorrow, so votes should be used with extreme caution. If SE is scum, he's pulled one hell of a gambit today to give himself town pants (assuming Alt won't give leeway for the deadline today and count all the votes). If Neo is scum then he has an auto win with HW auto following him as well.
Aha...I missed the timing thing....yes, I think it's very likely that since SE's vote was a few hours after noon that it will not count, and there will be another day tomorrow. I'll wait to post again until Alt posts and we get this all sorted out.
Day is over, I'm not entirely certain how strict Alt is with the deadline today, so I'm not entirely certain if SE got lynched or not. He will sort things out when he gets here, but for now, act under the assumption that SE was lynched as town (which may or may not be true), and send in night roles to both myself and Alt please!
Also, No more talking! It is now night, blah blah etc.
squinty_eyes: Alt, you have fantastic logic. And zero political prowess. CKY: Through a convoluted series of events involving three tons of garden gnomes and a pickup truck, Henderson’s Magikarp defeats the Deoxys terrorizing the city.
Technically the round was supposed to be over before Neo voted S_E. But, given the circumstances, I'm going to allow that squinty_eyes was voted off the island.
The game IS over, mafia wins. I will be posting a more indepth post with EVERYTHING coming up. Thank you freddeh for stepping in, we got just over 8 inches of snow where I am so I've been busy and out of contact. I would have left a heads up, but it was only supposed to be 1 to 3 inches, so I didn't think anything of it. I learn someting new every day...
Feel free to post whatever you guys want, I should be finalizing the story over the next couple of minutes...

I still had internet connection for 1 or 2 days...
Sorry for losing this for the town, I was sure he was mafia, should have listened to JD.
I assume neo was mafia and did notice that the votes were past the deadline? Really not seeing jd being mafia unless roles, but not alignments were given with the characters....

Nicol Bolas is having a birthday party, and you're invited!!!

Bolas BIrthday.jpg [ 64.46 KiB | Viewed 7357 times ]
Dear Planeswalker, Attend or Die It's pretty clear which option you're supposed to pick.
Now, Bolas is an excellent host of some killer parties. He doesn't do "bare minimum" or "scrape by"; go big, or go home. Besides, he has to one up Emrakul's home crushing party. He was annihilated completely; he was crushed. Anyways, Bolas is waiting for RSVP's from the following people: =List of Invitees= Ajani Goldmane Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver Chandra Nalaar Domri Rade Elspeth, Sun's Champion Garruk Relentless Gideon, Champion of Justice Jace, the Mind Sculptor Koth of the Hammer Liliana of the Veil Nissa Revane Sorin Markov Tamiyo, the Moon Sage Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded Venser, the Sojourner
When he hears back from everyone, his party will begin. He's not going to say no to stragglers either; the more the merrier. He wishes us, Sarkhan and Tezzeret, your humble caterers, to remind you of a few things though:
1) Just because of who you are, doesn't mean that's what you're going to be. Bolas has that effect on people.
2) Bolas' birthday isn't a surprise party, but surprises are around every corner.
3) Don't forget to RSVP
4) Don't forget to partake of the fine dying.
==xx== "Welcome everyone, to this humble party. It is a great shame that only thirteen of you were able to make it. I will be your host, Tezzeret. May I take your cloaks? We are simply waiting for everyone to arrive, before we begin. I will alert your other host, Feddeh, to your arrival. If you'd all be so kind as to sit around here and wait for us, that would be ravishing. Maybe you could take a look at the book on your left. You can feel free to sign in, and let Bolas know you came to his party. Again, you should wait for us first, but your can see who else was invited."
Chapter One
Spoiler
--xx-- "Everyone arrives at the party slightly dazed. Responding to a threat to your life tends to have that effect.
Friends and allies group together quickly and the socializing begins. Though many different groups have formed thus far, everyone seems to be going in one direction. The dessert table.
While perusing the delicious foods, the candy, the punch, the brownies, the largest birthday cake you have ever seen looms at the end of the table. It was huge, it was bigger than Garruk even when he was holding his axe above his head. It was definately bigger than Emrakul's cake on his birthday. Bolas knows how to throw a party.
There's only one problem with it. Someone else got there first. Everyone crowds around the cake to find that a large piece was missing. Not only that, but it look like someone had just jumped on in and started swimming in it. You all feared for your lives; who would eat the cake before the birthday boy?
When people start pointing fingers, the cake begins to stir. The sounds of someone chewing loudly can be heard; someone is still within the cake.
Garruk, who was still measuring the cake, swung his axe mightily down on the moving center of the cake. A shrill shriek is heard, and Garruk pulls whatever was in the cake out.
Eldrazi. It was just a spawn, but it was also a symbol. The eldrazi were here, now. This is something bigger than eating the cake before the birthday boy, somebody brought the eldrazi here.
Fearing for your lives again, accusations begin to fly. Someone amongst your group wants this plane to fall, whatever plane it is. You only hope that you can stop them, before it is too late."
"TEZZERET! WHY ARE YOU EXPLAINING THE NARRATIVE?" Sarkhan shouts from his loft perch in his room.
"I'm... I'm not!" Tezzeret yells back.
"THEN SHUT UP! I'M TRYING TO SLEEP."
Tezzeret mumbles to himself, he always talked to himself when he wrote down in his journal. Something big was going to happen, and someone had to keep track of it.
--xx--
As the day drags on the suns pass overhead. It reminds everyone of Mirrodin and sends shivers down their spines. The unrest is clear as the fingers fly from person to person.
Everyone is so sure that somebody else brought the eldrazi to this plane. So much so, that nobody can agree in the early hours. But, as the day comes to a close, the fourth and final sun is beginning to set, everyone is anxious to get back to their rooms. Rumor has it that Bolas will be arriving, and nobody wants to "be awake" when he finds out about his birthday cake.
Thus the fingers came to rest on Venser.
"Venser, you have traveled far from home, and few few times from home as well. Others must have recognized the disturbance in the time line, because you died."
"But another Teferi brought me from another time, a time without Dominaria's collapse, a time without my apparent death."
"And yet, your presence is once again ruining ours! The others have spoken, and they know what must be done; you know what must be done. And so it shall be done."
Tezzeret, opened the book on the right and wrote down a few scribbles while saying, "Venser, I condemn you to death. May this once again bring balance to the multiverse."
Venser, finally accepting his fate, jots a note in his own journal and hands it to Tezzeret.
"Oh, and another thing. I hope Bolas appreciates this. I fear I may not have much use of this... for a second time."
"It is done."
Venser vanished from sight, as suddenly as one could blink. Tezzeret held his hands where Venser used to be; he was concentrating on something. He suddenly opens his eyes and reveals, "I sense a strange aura here. An entity named Shockwave07 resided within. He claims to be, claimed to be, a town aligned vanilla. What does it mean?"
Everyone began to look side to side. Another entity? Shockwave? Vanilla? What did any of those words mean? There was no time to ponder on these things right now, the final sun had just about set.
"Everyone, I will show you to your rooms. They are all separate from each other. I will start cleaning the room intended for Venser. Sleep tight."
Tezzeret smiles and walks off. With nothing else to go on, everyone else follows him mechanically to their rooms.
--xx--
As everyone walks off to their rooms, three guests hide smug smiles. Garruk enters his room and kneel softly on the floor. He folds his left arm under his hand and whispers softly, "Master Sorin, what shall we do?" Sorin reveals a comlicated plan, and Garruk agrees. When they finish their discussion Garruk stands up and heads outside. He knows that Koth will be kept in check by Sorin, but that he will take care of Ajani.
He stealthily works his way down the hall until a light commotion is seen outside of Chandra's room (unaware of the commotion going on inside). Gideon is standing casually outside and Tamiyo is casting some spell around him. She turns to Garruk.
"He won't see or hear anything, go ahead."
Garruk nods and continues to Ajani's room. When he arrives, he knocks.
Ajani's heavy footsteps are heard walking up to the door. As soon as it opens, Garruk pounces. He strikes Ajani forcefully in the face. Ajani recoils and reached for his staff, but Garruk grabs his hand and twists the elbow backwards. Ajani tried to let out a roar, but Garruk holds dearly onto his vocal chords and uses his forearm to muffle the movement of Ajani's jaw.
Garruk slides his axe from behind his back, and drives it home into Ajani's skull. His form goes limp, and Garruk knows that his work was done. He turns to leave and he finds Tezzeret standing in the doorway. Garruk raises his axe, but Tezzeret smiles and steps aside.
"You'd best not be here when they show up." Tezzeret runs off screaming down the hall.
==xx== Chapter Two
Spoiler
--xx-- "Murder! There has been a murder!"
That is the noise that everyone wakes up to in the early morning hours. Tezzeret runs door to door and explains himself.
He gathers everyone somberly around the room of the murder to look inside at the grisly scene. Ajani's body lays crumpled on the floor. His skull had been beaten in and deformed. It looks as if some mutilation had taken place. Tezzeret places his hands over Ajani's body and a blue essence rises from the corpse.
Ajani's voice booming in an ethereal tone is heard.
"Time. I needed time. Why do you do this? What is it you are doing?"
"Rest now Ajani. What can you tell us?"
"Time. I needed time."
"Time for what?"
"The eldrazi, in the kitchen. I needed time. Justice is a heavy hammer. I needed help to stop..."
Ajani's essence vanished into the void of of Tezzeret's hands. He closes his eyes and acts as if he is smelling something.
"Just_a_cleric was the town mobber. What is with all of these senses of town? More is afoot here than we seem to know. But something about the eldrazi in the kitchen? Is that how it got into the cake? Let us investigate."
Tezzeret leads everyone to the kitchen. Inside some scurrying noises can be heard. Garruk smashes the door down, and Chandra fills it with fire. A quick investigation reveals the charred remains of three eldrazi spawn. The look on everyone's face was clear: More of them?
"What are we going to do?" Elspeth asks.
"Who could do something like this?" Koth asks.
"Was it you?" Jace points at Ashiok.
Ashiok hisses his reply.
"Is anybody safe?" Elspeth asks again.
"If I kill you all, I'll be safe," Liliana states, obviously irritated with Elspeth's fear.
"YOU will die before that happens Liliana, but we agree that something must be done," Gideon argues.
"Suit yourself," Liliana responds cooly.
"We certainly will do something! This or these villains must be stopped! We only have a few hours of daylight left before they run rampant through the halls at night again. ONe of you MUST have done it... but whom?"
--xx--
Tezzeret seems to cause more harm than anything.
As the accusations continue, the group keeps hinting at Gideon's potential participation. However, everyone finally pulls together and isolates Tibalt.
"Well, well... isn't this an odd turn of events."
Tezzeret has been inching ever-closer to Gideon throughout the evening. He is clearly shocked to find a large dagger having been thrust into Tibalt's gut. Nobody knows who did it, but the deed was done.
"How does it feel Tibalt? All the pain, the fear, the suffering?" Tezzeret taunts.
Tibalt smiles through the pain. Pain he is used to, death he is not.
"Heh. Seems there is an odd sense of irony in this place," Tibalt coughs out. His left leg buckles. He pulls the dagger out from his gut, and brandishes it wildly. "Anyone want to finish the job?"
Silence.
"I see... no one cares." Tibalt looks around the room at each face. He wants to know which backstabbing (or in this instance frontstabbing) planeswalker it is. He laughs maniacally as the strength slowly drains from his body. His last words are struggled.
"Was it you Gideon? Champion of justice, slayer of the wicked. Am I too wicked for you?"
Silence.
"Puh. I thought not. That would be too obvious, and you would have given me a clean death. It must be another."
Tibalt finally flops onto the floor, Tamiyo has her hand behind his head.
"If anybody is to die, it should be a clean death. Not this..." she says while pointing to Tibalt.
"Something strange is with his essence," Tezzeret mutters, "let me find what it is."
Tezzeret waves his hands over the body methodically, and then his eyes light up and his voice changes. "miss_bun. Town-aligned vanilla... What does this mean? They are like sign posts, but what do they point to?"
"What does any of this point to?" Tamiyo requests.
"What town are they a part of?" Gideon asks.
"I still don't know what a vanilla is..." Garruk mutters under his breath.
"Do you know anymore than this Tezzeret?" Sorin asks.
Tezzeret is gone. Nobody saw him leave, but he is no longer among them. They all look around them; did the killer strike again? But they soon hear the raspy voice of a troubled man.
"LEAVE THIS PLACE!"
Startled, everyone turns towards the stairs. They can see Sarkhan hobbling down the stairs.
"LEAVE! GO! RETURN TO YOUR ROOMS! Trouble is stirring..."
With less information than last night, and with more trouble to be aware of the "guests" silently return to their rooms. Nobody knows who to trust anymore. Nobody knows what to believe. Nobody, but a few...
--xx--
Sorin reveals his plan to his two comarades again, and they quickly put that plan into place.
Meanwhile, Gideon, sensing death in the air, decides to work some preventative magic. He feels that others are worried about Sorin's power and age as a vampire. He stakes out just outside of Sorin's room, just after Sorin already left.
Chandra is alone in her room, and she lights a fire. She attempts to reach out to others through the flames in their fireplaces (just like the previous night), but she realizes that something is wrong. Nobody has a fire going tonight. That is odd, but she can't do anything about it without raising suspicion.
Outside of her room, Tamiyo has just created a aetherial barrier using the moon and her magic. Nothing gets in, and nothing gets out. She slinks off into the night, proud of her success.
Sorin is sitting in a fetal position outside of Elspeth's room, with his hands over his ears. She drones on and on about her failure and her worries. She does absolutely nothing else. He is driven almost to insanity, but somebody taps him on the shoulder.
Frightened, Sorin swings his blade swiftly behind him, Garruk stops it with hs hand. Inside his other hand, he holds the chain veil.
Sorin smiles, "Good work Garruk. How did it feel?"
Garruk smiles, "It has been too long a nagging curse for me to not find joy in slaying the night witch."
But, in the blink of an eye, it is day, as if nothing had happened. Except, for poor Liliana.
In the comfort of her room, Liliana sprawls out over the bed. It's not as comfortable as she'd like. There is too much... cushion for her tastes.
She starts making plans for what will happen when she leaves. She'll track down the last two demons, kill them. No, she thinks she'll torture them for a long time first, then kill them and hopefully have her soul back to normal.
Normal. I don't know if that's the best word to describe her even once her soul has been reclaimed.
Lost in her thoughts she almost doesn't notice the scuffle that is happening outside. She could here thumps and bumps and something heavy being dragged along the ground.
"What are you going to do Liliana," she says to herself, "If you go out there, you're probably goign to get hurt or dragged into another hopeless murder. But on the other hand, I could get some fresh corpses for entertainment. Maybe I could liven this place up a bit."
Apparently she was bored. She walks to the door and listens carefully. The scuffle quiets down, and Liliana waits a few seconds more. The deed is done, she could collect her corpses now.
As soon as her hand touches the doorhandle, her brain shoots into overdrive. (It's quiet... too quiet. The attacker never left!)
Sparing no time, the door expectedly flies off its hinges atop Liliana, and Garruk is pressing it down, pinning her to the floor.
(Garruk tricked me!)
Garruk gloated over Liliana's trapped body, "Remember me, night witch?"
(You are alone, a lone purple void still hanging by a thread. Your life essence, that you pinned to the chain veil! You can still get out of this. You just need someone to use the chain veil and then you can...)
Garruk notices that the chain veil glows and eerie color. He knows that Liliana is paried with it somehow, and swings his mighty axe at the veil. When it strikes, he channels his naturalizing powers into it and the glow slowly fades from existence.
(You can't feel the veil anymore. You can't feel anything. You know of nothing, you can't hear, see, touch, or smell anything. You are dead, but you're not dead... this isn't dead. You've been dead before. This is different.)
(You are with Venser, and another mind is here as well. You are younger, thousands of years younger. In fact, your soul is still whole. What is going on? You see a faint trail of blue, and it disappears in a golden hue. It looks like your stuck here. You quickly notice that you are shrinking in the world. You are shrinking and your limbs are getting smaller. You are reversing in age. You are getting younger and younger. Too bad you do'nt have too much time to think about that as you fade out of exis...)
==xx== Chapter Three
Spoiler
--xx-- The sun is up?
"MURDER! THERE'S BEEN ANOTHER MURDER!" can be heard outside in the hall.
Discombobulated, everyone walks outside and finds a mass of confusion; nobody knows how day came so soon.
"What's going on?" Koth hammers out.
"What do you mean?"
"Why were you yelling?" Jace remembers.
"Yelling about what?"
"You screamed something, and got us all out here!" Garruk roars.
"What did I say?"
"What DID you say?" Chandra fires out.
"Why are we out here?"
This madness continues for a few minutes. Meanwhile, Ashiok hisses in the corner; nobody understands him... her... it? Nobody understands Ashiok. Nobody knows why they are all out here in the hall. There was a reason, otherwise they wouldn't be there, but nobody knows what that reason was.
Finally, the answer comes to everyone in the form of a blue wispy aura. It hovers closer to Tezzeret and it rests just in front of him.
"Did somebody die?" Tamiyo summarizes.
"This is what happened every other murder." Gideon justifies.
"Who was murdered? Everyone is here?" Sorin inquires.
"Well let's see, Gideon, Elspeth, Jace, Ashiok, Chandra, Tamiyo, Garruk, Sorin, and Koth. Myself included, the only possibility is that Sarkhan was murdered."
"EVERYONE SHUT UP! I'M TRYING TO SLEEP HERE!"
"I don't think Sarkhan is dead."
"Who is it?" Elspeth worries.
"Let's find out..."
Tezzeret waves his hand through the essence and his eyes go blank. For a full minute, there is complete silence. It's deafening. Finally, his eyes light up, and everyone hears the sound of a faint and unfamiliar voice.
"Hello? Is anyone out there? Can anyone hear me?"
"Yes, we can hear you."
"Where am I?"
"Who are you?"
"I'm Shockwave07. I was Liliana. One of you murdered me during the night."
Everyone looked at each other, completely baffled.
"Liliana who?"
"Liliana Vess. A necromancer. A night witch. A demon slayer."
"Um... have you been with us long Liliana?"
"What do you mean?"
"What do YOU mean? No one goes by the name Liliana here. There's no mention of you in the guestbook, no evidence that you have even been here. Do you even know any of us? Why are you playing games with us?"
"Games? I was playing a game, a game of mafia. I was a town-aligned vanilla (twice) I was Liliana. I was with all of you. Why don't you remember?"
Everyone is confused. Nobody knows this Liliana that the essence is speaking of. And, mafia game? What does it all mean? They turn to Tezzeret, who turns to the essence.
"Speak truthful or I'll put you away. None of us know of any Liliana, nor any game of mafia. Leave us in peace."
"No! You've got to believe me. I am Shockwave07! I was playing as Liliana after I died as Venser."
"You died twice, as different people?"
"Yeah, I don't want to talk about Venser. But I was Liliana! I was in my room, and the door broke down. I don't remember much after that. I went somewhere else and now I'm here and you all have forgotten Liliana. Not only that, you don't even know she exis..."
The essence fades from sight, and soon does the voice. Before it completely fades, it rambles on about room 105.
Tezzeret turns to everyone and says, "Let's investigate this room, 105."
The door is there on its hinges. The room is spotless. The bed is fresh-made. Nobody had been here for days except to clean it. Something isn't right.
"The room is spotless, but there is something here. A rift of sorts. What is it?" Tezzeret feels around the room blindly, and slowly another blue aura drifts into view. "Interesting," Tezzeret mumbles, "I'm going to open it. Be ready to defend yourselves."
Tezzeret waves his hands majestically, and the blue aura slowly brightens and glows. Tezzeret groans with effort as he attempts to manipulate this rift. Wind starts to rush and the room starts to rattle as Tezzeret opens the rift more and more. He struggles, and suddenly crumples to the floor. The rift fades to nothingness. There is only one thing new to the scene.
Remnants of an eldrazi spawn.
Tezzeret is breathing heavily, but he keeps himself on the ground. "We need to find out who's behind this. My master will NOT be pleased!"
--xx--
Tezzeret silences the group. He is tired of their indecision.
"This group is obviously too torn to come to a decision."
"But we did! We finally voted on Gideon!" Elspeth shouts.
"That never happened."
"Yes it did! I voted for him. I want him away from us!"
"It never happened. That was some of the remaining time rift's essence. When you play with time, dangerous consequences follow."
"I should know, I've meddled with it on occasion to better study the moon. Even minor alterations to time can have a significant impact."
Ashiok slowly creeps up behind Koth and shrilly hisses in his ear.
"Ugh," Koth roars as his fist finds nothing but air, "can somebody tell him to STOP THAT!"
"Silence! everyone back to your rooms."
"But..."
"No more! I need time to figure this out, as well as clean up the remaining time essence. Go, shoo, leave! Hopefully we'll be so lucky during the night."
Everyone shudders, it doesn't appear that anyone believes that.
--xx--
Before anything else, Sorin splits off from the group; he enters his room silently.
He quickly passes his will to his comerades, and dons his cloak. He quietly opens his door, and turns to find Gideon restng against the opposite wall.
"Sorin, where do you think you are going?"
Sorin tries his best to feign surprise and responds, "I was investigating some of the noises I heard out here."
Gideon nods. "Sorry, that was me making myself comfortable."
"Mmm," Sorin mumbles, and then asks, "what are you doing here?"
Gideon almost looks baffled. "I came to have a word with you."
"Certainly," Sorin feigns friendliness, "if you were the noises I heard earlier, then there is no need to investigate. Come in will you?" He holds the door open for Gideon, and smiles as Gideon walks inside. His job just got easier. Gideon thinks the same thing.
Meanwhile, Tamiyo enjoys how simple her job has become. She steals the essence from the moon and once again seals Chandra aetherically into her room.
Inside, Chandra can't even create a spark.
"Who is doing this!" she yells. She slam her fists against the wall. She is useless constantly. She decides to rest for the morning.
She did her task and then starts fiddling with the stars to kill time. She waits to hear the news of her friend Garruk; it shoudn't be long now.
Garruk stands huddled outside of Elspeth's door. He is huddled because he is too big for the hallway, not because he is scared. In fact, he even goes as far as to knock on Elspeth's door. The pouting from within stops.
"Who is it?"
Garruk stands there. His figure shakes as he hides a chuckle.
"Hello? Chandra? Is that..."
When the handle turns, Garruk thrusts his arms into the door. The door rips open and he grabs the shoulders of the being behind it.
"NO! Ugh... HELP!" Elspeth screams and she kicks him in the chest.
He laughs as her leg bounces off ineffectively. He snaps her arms in an abnormal direction. Elspeth cires out in agony as he holds her by her now shattered arms.
"What are you doin..." she whimpers out, but Garruk cuts her off. He wraps his fingers around her throat. His thumb is crushing her windpipe and his fingers are crushing her neck. Then it snaps.
Her body goes limp, and only her eyes remain filled with life. "The weak die," Garruk whispers, and then removes the life from her eyes.
He tosses her lamely onto the ground and turns to leave, but Tezzeret is standing in his way again.
"I wouldn't leave her like that. They'll know it was you."
"I have no time to waste for her kind. That will be up to you."
Tezzeret glares at Garruk as he walks by. He simply mutters, "Then you'd best start running."
==xx== Chapter Four
Spoiler
--xx-- "ANOTHER MURDER!!!"
Everyone was expecting this and remains in bed to ignore it. Tezzeret continues, "HELP!!! Somebody help!"
Tezzeret is in trouble. This was different. Everyone runs outside to see why. They see Tezzeret wrestling among the tentacles of two eldrazi spawn. Chandra tackles one of the eldrazi and confines two of its tenticlesand behind her, Garruk swings his axe to slay the other.
A rock suddenly forms around the first eldrazi's arms, and Gideon's lash scrapes across its face. Garruk quickly slays that eldrazi as well.
Chandra helps Tezzeret up, and everyone backs away from the scene.
The room is a mess, and the walls were all torn up. Furniture was broken, as was a body laying on the ground.
Her eyes were splintered with wood, and her arms were broken and tangled within her body. Her neck was crushed to a size that anyone could wrap their fingers around.
Elspeth was dead.
The usual blue essence appears, and Tezzeret erases it from existance.
"Dragoon Kain," he gasps, "Town vanilla."
He pauses.
"What do we do now?"
--xx--
Tezzeret was soon sorry he had even asked that question. Bicker was apparently the answer.
All throughout the day Tezzeret could be found with his hands covering his ears. Honestly, there wasn't that much discussion going on. Whatever discussion WAS going on, was covered up by the immense bickering that followed.
When the last sun was getting ready to set, Tezzeret had had enough.
"QUIEEEEET!!!" Everyone went silent. "Tell me in one word. ONE. WORD. Who do you think did it. Tell me now."
Everyone stated their responses, and Tezzeret counted on his fingers. "Not enough... there is NEVER enough! Go to your rooms! I need to think more about these horrible deeds."
The planeswalkers hang their heads and walk down the hall. Tezzeret fumes. Alone at last he breathes a sigh of relief. "What trouble are they going to cause tonight?"
--xx--
Sorin broods silently in his room, while the remaining members of his team collaborate.
Garruk and Tamiyo exchange thoughts, and propose an altered course of action. Tamiyo won't be toying with Chandra tonight.
Garruk and Tamiyo start off together to Chandra's room. Oddly enough, they find Gideon there. Gideon disliked seeing that pair together and started to reach for his whip.
Tamiyo raised her hand, and Gideon's eyes went blank. When she put her hand down Gideon fell to the floor.
"I'll take care of him," Tamiyo urged Garruk on. She waved her hands around his head, obviously manipulating his memories.
Garruk hunched outside of Chandra's room.
He raises his hand to knock on the door, but he hears the sound of burning wood. He silently opens the door and sees Chandra kneeling in a meditative state in front of her fireplace.
He frowns; he likes a fight. He grabs the bed, and swings it hard at Chandra's head. The fire in the fireplace goes out. He drags the body out to where Gideon is.
Tamiyo smiles.
Garruk smiles.
They both disappear as Tamiyo wisps them back to their rooms.
Gideon awakens to find Tezzeret standing over his body.
"What's going on? Am I dead?"
"You aren't."
Gideon looks around the hallway and sees Chandra lying on the ground next to him. "I... I didn't do it. I was protecting her."
"You think they're going to believe that?"
Gideon swallows loudly, and sprints off to his room. Tezzeret smiles and gets ready to yell.

Spoiler
--xx-- As death and deception grow usual, everyone grows fond of change.
Tezzeret screamed about murder; everyone ran over; Tezzeret prepared to read the essence.
But, today was different. Sorin's mind weighed heavily on him and swung his sword at Tezzeret. "No! She might know who we are!"
Tezzeret holds his arm up to block the sword, while his other arm points at Sorin. Sorin vanishes.
"Filthy, filthy, filthy! Interrupting my work. It's bad enough that there are murders night and day, you need not tell me what to do," he mutters. He turns to you all and enters his usual trance-like state.
"Planeshaper was a town psychic; Van was a mafia tracker."
As soon as his eyes clear, he shakes his head. He is obvioulsy shaken from Sorin's brutal attack, and he certainly made an example out of it, but he was still rattled. "Leave me alone! Go argue amongst yourselves! End this messiness!"
Everyone begins to argue, like usual. But hope has sprung in their hearts. Tonight was different, maybe today will be different too.
--xx--
The group begins to whittle down their numbers. Today, there is less arguing than usual; the town is starting to agree.
When Tamiyo realizes this, it becomes clear that she is the newest target for lynching.
"You don't seriously believe it was me?"
"What better to block fire, than with water?" Koth asks.
"I did no such thing!" Tamiyo and Garruk catch eyes and nod in confirmation.
"You had every opportunity to. You have some explaining to do."
"Actually, she has some dying to do."
Tezzeret points out how many are pointing at Tamiyo, "Finally enough." A burst of white light emits from his hand and it slowly removes Tamiyo from everyone's vision. "Confused... Mafia... Blocker..."
"There are five of you remaining. How many of you expect to survive the night?"
Gideon quickly raises his hand. When everyone looks at him, he puts his hand down. "What?"
"Leave. Everyone. Trouble is afoot. Get some rest. Tomorrow is a big day."
The ever decreasing group forges its way down the hall. Each person knows that someone is going to die tonight. They only pray that it isn't them.
--xx--
Garruk mutters under his breath the entire way to his room. He mumbles about how cocky Gideon was and how he honestly expects to survive the night. In fact, he plots to get rid of him instead.
Garruk enters his room and stays there for almost an hour. Then, he leaves and follows the scent of Gideon.
Upon arriving at Gideon's room, Garruk realizes that he isn't there. He sniffs around and finds that Gideon went elsewhere. He readies his axe and chases the scent.
Gideon is pacing outside of Jace's room.
"Nothing is going to happen to him tonight."
He paces back and forth again.
"For once, nobody is going to die during the night."
He paces back and forth again.
"I am going to stop these villains once and for all!"
He paces back, but isn't able to go forth again.
His vision confuses him. He sees an axe protruding from his stomach, but that is above him. He tries to turn, but he can't, and he sees his body fall to the ground when the axe is removed; his head is missing
He sees a hulking figure running away from the crime. Garruk smiles; his work is almost complete.
==xx== Chapter Six
Spoiler
--xx-- Tezzeret isn't even needed at this point, blood is going to be spilled.
"I don't think it's you Garruk; I'm fairly certain Jace is clean. Ashiok has done nothing but hiss at everyone since he got here. But, if I had to pick two of you, I'd say it's Ashiok first then Garruk second, because we can pretty much rule Jace out."
"What do you think Jace."
"I think you did it."
"And..."
"I still think Ashiok did it. I've been saying it all along. I agree we can pretty much exclude Jace from our list of suspects. That being said, can you give us some better explanations Jace?"
"I have my reasons."
Ashiok hisses in Garruk's ear. Garruk roars.
"Well, neither Ashiok nor Garruk actually form conclusions on each other, and you've ruled me out. Our best chance at voting is voting you Koth."
"Ehhhh, heheh. How about we don't lynch anybody instead."
"What do you mean no conclusion? It HAS to be Ashiok!"
"Garruk, you just don't like him because he isn't talking."
"Guys, we get a better chance at voting the right person if we wait. Everybody has a different suspect, so let's give ourselves the best mathematical probability."
"Meh. I'll vote along with Ashiok. That way, if he is the killer, he can't switch his vote to it."
"I'm telling you, it's Ashiok. Koth not voting me as well clears him from my list. I really don't think it's Jace unless Bolas is more than cruel. That leaves Ashiok."
"I don't want to lynch. Wait, you're right. But, now that the killer knows that... I vote Ashiok."
Ashiok hisses his disapproval, "Loooooooooooooooose!"
Tezzeret comes by and helps make Ashiok vanish, which distracts Koth and Jace enough to not notice the enormous axe that was just swung through the both of them.
Garruk has ended it all.
==xx==
"Is everything in motion Garruk? Is Bolas' plan coming to fruition?"
Garruk nods. "We've been guiding eldrazi all throughout the plane. These others were certainly causing trouble for us. The eldrazi have been planted per Bolas' orders."
Tezzeret smiles and says, "Perfect. Now, we just need to grow them. We need to wait for the next group to bring the phyrexians. Then, Bolas' army will be complete."
"Do you ever feel guilt?"
"Guilt?"
"For the people of Ponomo."
"Guilt? Why would I feel guilt? Bolas will make Ponomo the last bastion of the multiverse. What is there to feel guilty about?"
"Sometimes, just sometimes guilt crosses my mind."
"Never. Just remember, you will be one of the survivors. That alone gives me hope. I. Will. Survive. And you will too."
Garruk nods again, "Aye. I will too." ==xx==
The End
==xx==
For any of you interested, once I get things rolling, my next Reactionary will be continuing this story.
Keep your eyes peeled for that. I'm still working on the overall story and rulings about it. Right now it seems like it will be:
Reactionary: Episode One - Purification of Ponomo.
