Here's the thing to remember about me: I am very comfortable on the fence D1, regardless of alignment. It has always been my opinion that a quick lynch D1 is bad for town and that exploring as many options as possible is better for town. Last game I was also hesitant to commit to a lynch up to the point of purposefully tying the wagons so I wouldn't be held responsible, and I was town. So this behavior is not in any way connected to me alignment, but only to my personality.

You agreed with me that the JD wagon happened too fast, but you say I'm scum for exploring other options. That still looks inconsistent to me, but your explanation covers enough of the gap to satisfy me for now.

Yes, you do fence sit as town as well. Last game certainly showed that; however, when presented with a situation in which you found Zinger to be scummy enough, you did vote him. That is, you willingly committed to your perspective on someone who ended up being scummy.

The situation here is different from that. Whereas that game you had two choices (Skystone vs Zinger), here you openly stated that JD had a scumtell that could be applied against him. I clearly indicated why your reaction to JD here painted you in a scummy light, and others (like Monster) tended to agree with that. You jumped her for it as can be pointed out based on her breakdown of your vote post.

In the matter of a few posts you've progressed from trying to be chill to, "Hey that guy is scummy, but I'll let it slide," to reaching on your assessment of Monster (and not being chill).

Also a point of clarification: Monster never said you were scum for exploring other options. She voted you based on my post saying why you were scum (referencing your agreement that JD was scummy yet not willing to vote him while stating a desire for another wagon). It was a bundle of reasons as you can hopefully tell.

My comment about scumtells was about DaRkStAr (directly referring to what you had said about him). I didn't even bother to look to closely at why people were cutting JD, because the speed of it was enough for me to dismiss it. I feel like you just completely misunderstood me here.

When I read this post initially I thought the "procedural scumtell" was in reference to you (JD). Context-wise, I had just finished talking with Rag about hammering you. Arrgh chiming in at that point, with the wording, made me think he was talking about pushing you based on what Monster said.

Given this latest post from Arrgh, and the fact he voted DarkStart based on my Jeep tell comment, I am inclined to believe I was mistaken over Arrgh's post.

DaRkStAr, I already moved my vote off of you, but I still am suspicious of you for being the third vote on an early D1 wagon. On what grounds are you suspicious of me?

Also voting me for imo no reason, his feud with m0nster, and JD protecting him didn't make him any less sus to me.

Initially we have 4 votes pile up on JD. Something to the effect of Monster, HW, DarkStar, and Rag.

Rag being the fourth vote doesn't strike me as scummy because, and let's be honest, Rag would pull that even as town on D1. It's NAI.

I mentioned the Jeep tell wrt to DarkStar because this is DarkStar's first game with us. He's new to me, I have no idea what to expect, and I figure, as a new player, he'd be prone, as scum, to voting safely on a wagon that is building even on D1. That's literally all I have against DarkStar.

I'd rather focus on the rest of you though in case I am in danger of tunneling hard on DarkStar in his first game with us.

So that's where Arrgh came in. Given my misunderstanding of his post, I focused on him. Despite Rag trying to get me to be the hammer vote on JD, I pushed Arrgh. At that point some people switched: Monster, DarkStar, and HW.

I find nothing wrong with Monster's switch. Especially given my post towards Arrgh, I find Monster's posts to be more indicative of a town alignment from Monster. I honestly do not get the hint of the aggro scum that Monster has presented over the past few games (HW's You Pick and Pinky Promise).

DarkStar may be moving from a failed wagon to another that cropped up. Ironically, I think he was the third vote on Arrgh as well. So I'll more than likely have a hard time not viewing DarkStar as not scum without mechanical info to push back against me.

Then there is HW. He unvoted, and only mentioned half a vote (no actual vote). I don't know what to make of HW's reaction to the push I made against Arrgh (especially when he talked about the whole people sheeping me thing -- btw I am fully capable of running crew into the ground. Hard.).



By virtue of the amount of votes on JD, I don't honestly think he's scum here.

Aside from Naga having yet to chime in, the only real person that sticks out to me as possible scum is HW (for his unvote and not revoting elsewhere). It strikes me as weird coming from a guy that normally does weird things (as far as I can tell).

So yeah, my top suspects for scum are DarkStar and HW. Naga, by virtue of being the prominent lurker of the moment, comes up next.


As for voting here, if I were to commit hard to a case here, I'll go after -- ah hell, I don't have it in me to not do it.

I'll be honest, I really don't like this vote. The threshold is only five, and this is the fourth vote, which is basically the danger zone for a lynch. Good on Aaargh for not hammering (or not, based on Monster's post that I'll talk about after), and everyone else

Rag brought JD up to the edge and then joked about hammering. This started as a random vote wagon and then almost ended the day. Either of those quotes in isolation wouldn't really seem weird, but the two of them together - Rag being responsible for getting to the hammer zone, and then proding someone to do it, is strange behaviour. Seems a little outside what I expect from Rag.

He was actually second on, which puts him as the first to jump from my wagon. Meaning the argument that he jumped from a failed wagon to another is void as I was still at L-1 when he jumped. Guess you made another "mistake".

@Darkstar Scumhunter3000 Chill: the jeep tell was a pattern noticed in the early days of forum mafia where mafia would let a wagon start to build before they jumped on but didn't want to be towards the end either, so were often the third person to vote for a player. This tell was highly unreliable as all wagons eventually have a third person on them, and became even more so when it became common knowledge.

@Naga: Great points there.

But the thing is, that in my opinion everyone should have known that this is just a random vote on JD.
So it would be way to scummy to actually cast the 5th vote and therefore I don't see it as bad as you do that Rag made the 4th vote there.
(Maybe I am totally wrong here. I don't know your playstyles, etc.)
