So you did almost get yourself banned from hosting :P

It was my kill. KoD misunderstood his PM timing. It was a start of day PM....because obviously start of day PM's go out before the day starts, to avoid people jumping the gun before night actions are confirmed.

So yeah, basically because he realised he'd failed to notice he had the PM, he overanalysed/overcompensated when trying to work out how much he'd missed.

See, I need to learn to trust my gut on things like this. This is what I first posted as well in the discussion with KoD.

There's a tiny amount of justice, in that ultimately one of the reasons you lynched me, was because no one but me knew about NeoSilk in the QT. Because he'd hidden Day 1. The justice here, being that I had every intention of killing him.

Btw Alt, you never answered my question on that one. What would have happened, had I targeted Neo with the nightkill?

This.

Still wondering what the deal was with Night 2 Alt. Did KoD get the chance to kill or not? Apparently both Eli and KoD were being truthful at that time (since Garren was the one possessed), but there is still an inconsistency there.
That's pretty much what lead me to voting Eli.

That was a slight miscommunication on both our parts. What you were saying was correct.

I showed him the timestamps, and that his possession happen four minutes before the next day started. Thus the "literally before the day started". I realized that that was confusing and resummed as: "You were possessed for the duration of Day 3".

I did PM him to clarify, and when I was asking if people were having fun, it was me trying to tell him to check his PM's without alerting everyone that I was clarifying something for him in a way that he would see his messages :p

In short, he was not possessed until Day 3, and he lost his possession the end of night 4.

NeoSilk would've died.
Part of balancing and all.

I wanted the team to be able to kill themselves, but they had the ability to prevent that if they talked in the chat. Which was why it was funny when you both weren't using your real names. You knew there was someone else, but not who (until the end of course) :p

The game is essentially structured how I figured it would be mid game. Not that I put it together with context clues or anything, it's just exactly how I would have worked such a game. As for the timing, the easiest way to have avoided jerkiness of the transitions was to make the tunnel open at the end of night and possessions start at the beginning of day, then simply employ a "dawn" post - a signifier that night is officially over, but there's still things you need to take care of before day officially begins. During that time you could resolve all issue of transition without confusion.

The only thing I would have changed role wise, I probably would have made the tracker an alignment cop. This doesn't really change his ability to catch possessed too much (as he'd have to luck into it and would be subjected to revolving results), but allows him to catch Neo since a tracker nor the possession cop would ever be able to flag him.

The rest of my thoughts I either said while I was alive, or in the latter half of the dead thread.

I didn't actually have the link to the possessed chat on D1.
I played very badly - I had a plan, and I tried to follow it, but it just fell apart due to poor planning.

Good stuff!

I'd like to claim generosity there but honestly Alt was just being mysterious about whether a kill then was going to lead to my victory or not. I took the guaranteed route. What can I say I play to survive.

Speaking of though - Hey Alt! Would have Night Killing when I possessed have won me the game or would possession have shifted? I must know!

Oops...
We were discussing it though, I guess I wasn't super clear on it. And here I thought you were just being a genius :p

==xx==

Killing then would've caused the possession to shift, and GobO_Scarlet would've won.
1) You didn't do anything that caused you to win, so I wouldn't have halted the transition of possession.

So you were correct in not killing anyone.

Wait I was right on that? So there really was no way for mafia to win for themselves outside of wishing for a no lynch or being the last man standing? Sucks to be mafia this game.

Not 100% true. In your situation it wouldn't have worked.
There were ways for mafia to win on their own, but they didn't happen this game. It would've been easier if the vanilla hadn't died day one (which is a major contributor to the scenario that came to be).
To think about it, they could've won day one if they simply convinced everyone to no lynch, and then refused to kill.
But htey didn't know that. Only NeoSilk knew how to escape.

True. Honestly I think the biggest deciding factor here was Neo just flat telling us how to prevent mafia winning (that 'can't no lynch' thing). That was an interesting move on his part.

This was a fun game that I enjoyed watching from the sidelines.

Alt, you had an innovative idea. I enjoyed helping you refine it.

Thanks! I can also verify that it was fun to watch; I hope I didn't make it too obvious in-game :p
