as long as you have the ability to stop the kill i'm expecting you to stop the kill

the pledge would be expected to be upheld indefinitely. If the gamestate significantly changes and somebody breaks the pledge as a result, then it'll be up to everyone else to judge whether or not they were justified in doing so.

I'm on board with stopping the lynch, except for one thing.

Since KoD will be choosing the next person, I will reveal the second part to my role as it seems likely that I won't control it in the future. I have a night kill that I can use each night. As you can see, I did not use it last night. The trick to it is that it is a very public murder apparently, and it's implied that it is obvious that it was me. I'm concerned about this falling into other people's hands.

I also confirmed with Zinger - my alignment does not change.

prolly shoot KoD every night if you can

everyone with a harmful ability in general might want to aim it at KoD

I'm not sure stopping the lynch is a good idea until every player has confirmed that they're on board with using the role to stop the lynch, otherwise KoD can just throw it to someone who hasn't committed.

KoD will more likely try to lock it down since he won't know who to pass it to. If he has to tie up his roleblock keeping it shut down it's a decent trade off though.

I like Rag's proposal as a mechanism to grant ourselves time. Broadly speaking, I support it.

@Naga: Can you confirm whether neutralizing a lynch with the Executioner role still allows KoD to choose his kill? Or do you, by refusing to kill someone, counteract both the lynch and the Kod-kill? If the latter, then we can prevent abuse of the Executioner role by placing a majority lynch on a specific target (preferably, I think, the actual Executioner), then having the Executioner neutralize the lynch on themselves.

I am also not opposed to actually lynching Rubik. Refusing to vote KoD until after others switched their votes is about a clear a sign of a bad actor as we have seen so far in this game. But I will not betray the public trust if we mutually decide to postpone lynching altogether.

Finally, Hello World should attempt to roleblock KoD Night 2. Rebels should follow this up with an attempted kill.

My impression that if I refuse to kill the person, there is no kill.

My worry is that if the executioner role, along with its associated night kill, falls into the wrong hands. I don't know whose hands those would be, but I have a hard time trusting someone who isn't me.
