As the boats full of the rag-tag group finally make their way across the threshold and onto the open waters ofLake Talathe guardsman takes a deep breath and lets out a long sigh."Finally! Fresh air after what seems like an eternity in that cesspit..."He says, glancing back at the tunnel from which they had emerged but finding it naught but a sliver thanks to yet another illusion. Turning his attention back forward the man scans the shoreline and surrounding area for any signs of dangers before beginning to row the skiff towards the bank. He was ready to have feet on solid ground as soon as could be humanly possible but there was no sense rushing to shore only to find themselves instantly back at the hands of danger. As they row the guardsman tries to speed the craft a fair bit that it might slide into the shore a bit further making the feat of disembarking a bit easier.
Once the skiff has lodged itself into the soft mud of the shoreline,Jastorholds it in place by pressing his oar into the mud and waits until the others have exited before attempting to do so himself... plate armor and flimsy watercraft was not exactly the perfect match. Making sure to have a firm footing he leans back into the skiff and retrieves his pack and heavy shield and then makes his way carefully unto the dry ground. Not wanting to waste any time the guardsman slings the heavy pack over his right shoulder and grips his shield in is left hand and begins to quickly make his way to th cover of some foliage and small trees nearby and ducks into cover. From the relatively hidden spot among the bushes and trees he peers out while checking his gear and his eyes fix on the dark clouds rising from the city.
Jastorbites the inside of his lip as his dark green eyes remain fixed on the dark smoke that rises from his beloved city. He barely even notices whether the others decide to join him in the shade beneath the trees once they've gotten on shore. Seething anger begins to build in the man's chest as he wonders what will become of his city and he finds himself grasping at the small black cube that had been in his pocket. After a moment the blind rage passes and he realizes that the group needs to move quickly and put a fair bit of distance between themselves and the city proper and for that they'd need horses... horses and a destination. He slips the dark cube back into his pocket and begins to strap his traveling pack into place on his back before taking up his enormous shield.
"We can likely commandeer horses from one of the farm houses nearby... I say we get ourselves in the saddle and make our way towards Greenton. It would be the perfect place to disappear into the crowd, perhaps gather some information on what exactly happened here today, and decide where to go from there. For anyone that wishes to part ways with our...colorful...fellowship, it would also server as a good point to start your own path again."

Kronos pulls himself out of the boat and makes his way over toJastor. "I am in agreement on all counts. There are some nearby stables just on the outskirts of Amarath that have likely been abandoned. We can get horses there, and my foresight should keep us from running into any undesirable encounters. Also, my companion has a knack for getting around undetected, should that prove necessary."Kronos says. "Ready to go?"
Closing his eyes Alladar looks upwards and allows the suns rays warm his face. Finally we're out of that reeking sewer, grimacing Alladar opens his eyes and looks around .. well most of us. As the boat hits the shore he disembarks quickly and quietly, trying to keep his anger in check as he moves towards the others.
Keeping a wary eye out Alladar listens to the others talk, once again the guardsmen comes up with some sensible choices, he may be an ass but at least he knows what hes doing.
"Agreed, for the moment were stronger as a group and civilization doesn't sound to bad after whats happened"
Then to answer the wizard, whose calm casual conversation doesn't help Alladars mood. So lets see the fool claims his magic solves the problem, then sees no problem in future and yet here we are minus a few people. While he talks like nothing has happened, like hell.
"Just to be sure lets ask the rest of the party", snarling Alladar looks around. In a confused tone "oh wait there appear to be a few missing, I wonder how that could be? Ah that's it, they were lost by the traps YOUR APPARENT FORESIGHT DIDN'T BLOODY FOR SEE!!! The fact that they're gone doesn't really bother me, they weren't exactly friends, but the fact that you cant even own up to screwing up and yet insist on claiming to see all is really getting annoying now."
Alladar moves back to the boats in an attempt to calm down and see if they hold anything of use before Valenthal takes it. Calm, controlled, no point risking unwanted attention over spilled milk.
As he walks Alladar looks over his shoulder and calls back "I'll check the boats there maybe something handy and if not we may want to get rid of them, the wizards your concern Jastor. Call me when your ready to leave"

The boats contain nothing useful that you don't already have - unless you have an urgent need for planks and oars.
Short of just scuttling them the easiest method to conceal them would be to drag them into the undergrowth - though you would likely need a hand to drag them there.

"To be fair, Alladar, no harm did befall us, and as you so eloquently pointed out those who are no longer with us is no great loss on our end. I never promised they would get out of that tunnel alive anyway, I merely said nothing would happen to the boat Jastor, Vanya or I occupied."Kronos motions to Vanya to have her help Alladar with the boats. "Maybe you should count yourself lucky that I valued your presence enough to make sure I didn't get the symbol on your boat wrong."

Their path was now clear; they would make their west westward towards the City of Greenton and therein set about rebuilding that which they had lost. But Greenton was three days travel by horse and they found themselves lacking in mounts - there first stop would be the stables outside of Amarath's western gate.
Travel is slow and each step taken with trepidation. The walls of Amarath loom high above their heads and, while no patrol challenges their advance, none knew what events were unfolding within. Keeping of the beaten path and moving from rock to tree to shadow they soon find themselves outside the gate with the stables a short dash across the road from them. Still all is quiet. The west gate is sealed and no guards await atop the fortification. Likewise the stable is clear of obstructions; only the sounds of animal emerges from within - though your eyes, now keen to such things, notice the thin trace of white dust scattered around the area.

Heh, that's what YOU think, Mr. Narrator.Kronos smugly thinks to himself, ignorant of the fact that responding to the narrator in thought makes him slightly insane. He rubs his chin and focuses on the dust surrounding the area.

Kronos
You allow your vision to shift and almost immediately regret it. The sheer force of the magical energies leaking form the walls of Amarath is almost overwhelming and even in it's unfocused state it easily drowns out any other minor auras nearby. Your head bursts with pain as heavy thudding fills your mind. It takes all your concentration to shift your focus onto the dust around the stables - the now familiar aura of faint transmutive magics. No other auras can be seen.

"Let's not be too hasty now..."Kronos says to himself. Turning to the others, he says "Wait here. I'm going to get us some horses without triggering any kind of alarm. When I come out, we should get on them and ride away swiftly." Then, pulling back his sleeves, he interrupts the faint transmutation magic in place.
Standing there along the roadside the guardsman looks up at the looming fortification that is the western gate of the formerly glorious Amarath and for a moment almost gets lost in a faint bit of nostalgia. He is, of course, more than happy to let the mage wander off into the stable in search of some horses while opting to stand outside and keep a watchful eye on the area himself. The sewer-dwelling man hadn't stemmed the endless stream of self-boasting and chatter in the slightest but at least now he was actively doing things that moved them towards their goals rather than impeding.
Hopefully a decent horse or two has survived the Fall of Amarath.

As Kronos finishes his incantation his body fades and becomes incorporeal - though this is noticed less then the massive blast of wind that is kicked up as he transforms. Your clothes and cloaks whip wildly around you, the foliage you have taken cover in is all but rent asunder and the loose soil around you is kicked up in earnest finding it's way into every crack and crevice on your person. With a mighty roar the tornado that was once Kronos darts forwards, across the open road and into the stables leaving in his wake a massed cloud of fine white dust and the whinnying of horses from within the stables.
Kronos
The inside of the stables is - well it's about what you expected you would see. Loose hay, dull-eyed animals and the overwhelming smell of ****. At your sudden - and noisy - appearance many of the animals panic and attempt to bolt, kept in check only by the reigns and ropes keeping them here in the first place. Of the fifteen animals stabled here the vast majority are draft animals bred to pull wagons. Five horses towards the back of the stables however are clearly designed for riding - two of them even remain entirely calm when you roared inside. All five of them seem to saddled as though ready to travel - and you would guess they all belong to the same company judging from the symbol stitched into their raiments. No other people seem to be around.

From outside of the stables you hear the sound of the winds dying down and, shortly thereafter, Kronos reemerges with five horses in tow - each clearly a fine example of it's species.

Kronos mounts one of the horses and motions for the others to follow. "Let's get moving. Jastor, feel free to lead the way if you should have want to do so."
Still angrily dusting of the filth from the wizards latest display of magic, Aladar walks up to the nearest horse. Checking that the saddle is secure he mounts up as well. Growling with barely restrained fury he turns towards the wizard, "just out off idle curiosity, do you not know about subtlety or just not care about it?"

It wasn't very often that extended speechlessness caught hold of Valenthal as it did since he stepped foot into and out of the boat. But placing his hand on the reigns he felt himself feel more aware of things once again. "Or perhaps he has little training in understanding the minute details of it," Valenthal says with a huff.
