Even if I though Lilan was scum and voted her, she could vote me changing nothing. I am tempted to vote Freddeh so that 15377 doesn't have to replace him. Also the replacement wouldn't start off behind the eight ball.

Well, given the lack of anything new or interesting, I don't see a reason to let us go into a 24 hour runoff where it looks like, given the inactive Freddeh, I will throw the deciding vote anyway. So, purely between lynching an inactive player seeking replacement and someone I found a little off at points during the game.

There's really no question, is there.

Unvote; Vote: Tiny

Not lynching an inactive member of town because their replacement may be a lurker.

I'd prefer to lynch neither of you, but since it looks like you are all conspiring against me to make me pick anyway (That or leave it up to random chance), you provide the better data when you die. Freddeh provides, well not much at all.

Vote Count:

Tiny: Neo, KoD, Nik
Fred: Lilan, Tiny

Tiny is lynched.

The deliberations of day dragged on. Even as the last rays of sun were fading, arguing was still going. Finally the elder called for a vote. It was almost a split decision when one townie stepped forward and cast the deciding vote upon Tiny. Tiny flashed a toothy grin at the man before leaping at him, claws growing from his fingers like daggers. Unfazed Lilan reached into his coat and drew forth a pistol. With one clean shot to the face Tiny's momentum was reversed, leaving him flat on his back. A split second later the dagger was in his chest, already carving out his heart before the nearby bar maiden could utter a gasp.

The wolf is dead. The game is over. Town wins.

Oh, I was actually wrong. Still, 2/5 odds of pulling off claiming huntsman at random had me convinced I was still on the right path.

Guess the Guard role was pretty straightforward.

Good game, friends!

You going to post the role specifics, Numbers?

The details of the game are fairly already in the open. Each role had a hidden tidbit though.

The wolf's is related the sire'ing process. He knew that the sire would be town for another day and that if the sire died before turning he'd fall in the haunting camp.

Lilan divulged the hunter's conundrum. A missed shot meant death and a forced mislynch for town. This was worded so when cut off town would simply think the hunter was a one off, but in actuality the hunter just had to be correct with the first shot to get a second.

Neo's was simply his drunken set back. His role functioned on three capacities based on the number of pints he drank. There were six possible outcomes determined with random.org each night. 1-3 returned a straightforward investigation of if the target used an ability. Four and five returned whether the target used an ability or was targeted in the night. Six would have produced a no result.

Zinger was the doc. While he had no hidden parts to his PM, if a second sire hadn't been produced saving anybody would have triggered the sire event, creating multiple chances for the wolf to gain a comrade. His targets were himself N1 and Neo N2.

The sire PM was presented as a choice for the player to make.

Tiny's intuition this game was amazing. He nailed every town power role before they had a chance to come out (well Neo gave himself away day 1 to be fair).

He mentioned his original strategy was to hunt first and sire later. Had he followed this I think he would have been far more successful. Although frankly I don't think he did that bad for being solo this game. I probably would have chanced claiming doc at the end there. It would have bought him a little time at least.

That should cover the design and actions that weren't already claimed in thread.

Well played - Tiny - you really almost had me there. I was so close to switching to Freddeh.

And, I agree, had you claimed doc (which would have been risky) I would have believed you.

I guess the post count was not really changed, but the content per post seemed much larger to me on D3 vs earlier.

Yep. The day one talk about siring actually convinced me that siring early was the safer option.

I had no confirmation that zinger was the doctor. At the time I had to claim 4 out of the 8 town hadn't claimed yet. If I was wrong about Zinger then claiming doc would have been an instant death sentence.

My plan for the day was to post everything I posted a few hours apart. Hoping to make myself look as town as possible and put some doubt about Neosilk's ability in the head of town. When I saw I was at L-1 I had to hurry, did not really expect everyone to jump on the lynch me train so fast.

The no lynch was my safety net, but you see how well that worked out.

Now that I am not scum: I am not lurking on the weekends, I just try to stay off the computer. If I don't post during the weekdays then I'm lurking. Also my friends router placement now sucks big time for the room I stay in. Trying to post or even read the forums from there was a pain.

Dante's Inferno was a "town" win.

Sire Choice: I eliminated Freddeh, KoD, and Lilan because I’ve never really played with them or know how well they play scum. So I started thinking about Zinger and shied away from him because of his no lie policy. I wasn’t sure that he wouldn’t let the attack slip. I did suspect Neosilk was a guardsman, but wasn’t positive. I decided not to sire Neosilk because he created a new account last game because he was tired of being scum. I know how that feels, especially with this game being my third time in a row being mafia. I decided he was going to be the N2 NK. Day 1 Niklor had a lot of posts and I was worried that there were enough posts for someone to see a behavior change. I also had a few posts supporting his “fishing” thing. Rubik seemed perfect. I had no association with him at all during day1. I saw how he played scum by watching the intervals game. His posts day1 were also pretty neutral.

So I went with Rubik.

The mistake that was Rubik: My original plan was not to sire anyone early on. I was going to NK night1 and decide who to sire later. It was all the sire talk during day one that convinced me to take less risk and sire N1. When Rubik betrayed his unknown master I figured I had very little chance of winning. I also got frustrated and posted about letting him turn so he could out me. It was just before I hit submit that I decided to put a smiley on that post.

Dead chat: Because of 15377's first post in my haunting chat I became worried that the healer could also talk to the dead. So I couldn't reveal myself. Then I decided to imply that I was Neosilk to see if someone alive suddenly turned on him.

Gj and sorry for the inactivity guys. Things are nuts for me right now between school and work, and the time I thought I might have didn't end up being there :(.

Werewolves have invaded all the cool sub forums on the mothership. It seemed only fitting NGA get a turn as well.
