Welp, that went well.

I didn't out myself to Zinger right away but after the spectacle of the disc hunt i felt pretty safe doing it. Weird that some people got confirmation that their discs were passed and others didn't though (or was that just a lie from some?).

I feel like two things really early on set the game in the town direction
1: Rubik was outed. I created the Lyncher role as a check for Shadow. Technically, thinking back on it now, outing s conf nontown made sense from the persepctive of someone wanting him dead, but all it ended up doing was confirming him, weakening the importance of the Maria role (Skystone also knew the identity of Shadow from D1) and leading to
2: Shadow immediately becoming strong towncore. This once again makes sense in context - he was outed and town were still strongly in charge. He got to choose how he played the game, yes, and in doing so, the town immediately gained a massive PR.
There were other things too. Eggman didn't get any recruits. We probably shouldnt have randomized those roles. If we had reached a neutral ending boss it would have been super interesting, since then Rag would have become the lead antitown, but unfortunately we never got that far.
And also, yes, the OC chat ended up making things townsided. This is the first game I've run with OC chat, so that did make it really interesting. But it fails to do any balancing when the mafia are inactive in the OC chats for the most part. It's an extension of the game - another place to manipulate players. I think OC chats couldve worked if we didnt have a towncore so early on who could collect roleclaims and night info.
This game was really interesting to watch, and I learned a lot from doing it. Thanks for being around folks.

Also I find it consistently funny that SMS continues to say his role was useless despite both his shots massively influencing the opinions of the towncore.

Yeah, the only point where things could have fallen apart was when they got the lucky hit on Minish. I was sure I would get lynched when that happened. If Skystone hadn't incriminated themselves, things could have turned south right there.

I saw it as my primary purpose to prevent Rag from going evil.

Good game! Missions were interesting, if a bit tricky to pull off. I'm sure I dropped the ball a few times for the mafia team - I could have joined Rag's chat, for example, but it seemed like a lot of work to keep a fake role consistent. And saying "Yeah, I'm mafia, let's work together," seems like a losing strategy.

I think the disk mission was just the final nail in the coffin. Since someone knew where all the disks started, it's easy to track where they went, which narrows down mafia to a very small group.

Yeah, having roles tied so heavily to flavor makes things difficult for Mafia. If we had all flavor claimed, scum would have been in an even worse spot.

I mean, we gave the mafia 2 flavor claims (Maria for Skystone and then Cream for one of the remaining mafia, with the implication that Cheese was not in the game if Cream wasn't either). So flavor claims wouldn't have been a huge problem, especially since only a few roles (Amy, Eggman, Shadow, etc) were super original.

Technically, PK incriminated me. I had to choose between getting PK killed by denying receipt of the disc (which would still have been shady insofar as it would have been weird for PK, even as scum, to lie about disc - but I might have passed it off as desperation ) or trying to play it off in order to keep PK alive.

I mean, I almost got Rag lynched, so it almost worked out okay. But I guess I should have let PK die. I could probably have embedded myself as town.

I was pretty sure that Rag was Eggman, so I was hoping that would involve actually flipping non-town.

True. At that point I was considering saying that I'd eaten the power disk to gain a boost, which probably would have been the better choice in hindsight. Sorry about that.

Also shoutout to Zinger who thought that a meme in his role PM was a game mechanic

Should have just waited for d2 and claimed I'd copped my mark as scum.

Semi-honesty doesn't pay.

You are Sonic lol.
Your role was bastard by the way. Amy recognizes any hedgehog as Sonic. Therefore Shadow would've gotten a Sonic conclusion as well.
