i'd guess nl is probably our best bet in the hopes that d2 has more abilities to work with

that being said, if people are up for it i'd be interested in creating a tie as well just due to how my abilities work

I think my biggest reservation about attempting a force-tie is that if a lot of people have attack incentives, that might include scum. This would go double in the event that scum doesn't have a traditional NK.

attack incentives are one of the only reasons to support a tie in the first place

if you think mafia has more attack incentives than town then forcing a tie is a bad move, otherwise its a good move.

I was about to say that. However, last game has taught me that not reading the rules of NAI. It would be my assumption that any and all aggressive decks would have attack incentives, regardless of alignment.

it's probably in our best interests to play into as many players' interests as we can, which is to say if we can fulfill attacking/blocking/etc incentives we probably should

even if we help scum, statistically we're more likely to help town especially in d1

If we decide we want to create a tie, then you two should do it and I'll hang back, as I don't get an explicit boost from just attacking.

@Aaarrrgh, I assume your benefit is the life counter? Do you feel comfortable expanding on what those translate to?

@Amber, do you feel like sharing your boost?

The simplest approach to making this decision seems to be to weigh the possible gains. But if the information is better not revealed to mafia just yet, that's understandable.

Yes, I get the life counter. From what I understand it doesn't do anything on its own (there are no thresholds in this game which could be affected, for instance). I have a card in my deck which can provide a significant advantage if I have enough life counters, but I don't currently have that card in hand. Also, that advantage is highly situational. So it might end up being a moot point.
