Because a scum player has more information than most town players and could therefore ensure a fail on round 1 without having to involve themselves.

Nihilist Spy. Knows other nihilist spies (but not the assassin? Or not which Nihilist is the assassin? OP is unclear on this).

they know all the nihilists, but not which of them is the assassin. only the assassin knows that.

I might not make a strong nor a final conclusion but... yeah, I would be way more comfortable if none of those three went on this mission. That's what I've said and I shall continue to hold to it.

I'm not proposing a team that does not include myself, as I know that any team without me has a bigger chance to fail vs one that I'm on.

Every game of this that I've ever played either had SE in it, or was hosted by him. So far, his D1 play seems very consistent with when he's been town.
So - I think he's the most likely, as of now, to be town. So, I'm proposing the team that I think is the most likely to succeed.

So, I propose: Squiny and myself for the team

Considering you won't be leader, odds are good that most if not all won't have you on it. What will you be voting if we hit a fifth proposal?

Much like Rubik's statement, I really feel this doesn't help town at all. Blindly promising to vote one way isn't giving town any information to work with.

Obviously I'd vote yes if we hit the fifth proposal, regardless of composition. Information is more useful than no information and a lower chance of success is better than no chance of success.

As neo is one of the three people I Did Not Want on this team, I'm seriously considering rejecting it. I guess if it tanks we know a lot more than if/when a later mission does, but I'd rather not fail the mission.

@Squinty, Rubik: Rubik's is a concerning policy to run hardline all the same. :erk:

So, sorry about that, I accidentally posted my vote to razor instead of PM-ing it, so I did edit it immediately. Which is why it's just an 'oops' there.

Apparently I don't know how to internet.

is it better no not involve themselves than to not involve a team mate?

While it might not be the required optimal play for Scum, it is at least a viable play for scum. It's not for town.

So, do people have thoughts about the team of Neo and myself? Not talking helps the scummy nihilists hide.

I mean, I'm not worried about mission one since it rarely ever fails, but at the same time, I'm used to games with two Spies. This is my first one with a third, which may change some of the dynamics.

Yes. One of you three at minimum is most definitely a spy. Possibly more. Likely more.

I'm ambivalent on whether delaying is a good idea or not, given the setup. It all depends on the Merlin player, probably, but it leaves more breadcrumbs to assassinate him, or rule out others.
