Fel, where are you? What do you think of the current debate?

I was out of town during the weekend. Mentioned it in most games I'm in, but forgot to do it here. And by current debate do you mean Numbers vs Neo? I think Numbers is doing the exact same thing he does every game: tunneling on someone. Except this time his target looks worse than the average player. Still, it's hard to believe Neo would fake everything about his role, including name and all that. So, if you want to lynch Dante/Luci, he's probably not the best target. I'm not sure who to lynch, though.

What I do know, though, is that I can't vote through PM's, like Neo thinks. I mean, Zinger is a creative dude. I circle wouldn't share an effect with a role :-P

Eh - it was worth a shot. However, if it's not you, then how did Scar get that mystery 1.5 votes? And I could see, assuming that circle 9 was someone's home circle, them being able to use that circle ability when away from home.

Another thing that I've learned is, it looks like circles only have 1 effect - I was thinking that maybe there was a positive effect, and a negative effect, based on your alignment, however, that does not appear to be true. Which, of course, discounts my reasons for suspecting Razor in the first place.

Canto 2.

Quote:
altimis (1): altimis
1. altimis votes altimis

Here, Alt claims to be in circle 6, the ghost vote circle. However, voting himself only nets 1 vote against him. Either he does not take the penalty here, or, self-voting does not impose the penalty.

2.2
Quote:
razorborne (1): NeoSilk

1. altimis votes altimis
2. altimis unvotes
3. NeoSilk votes razorborne
4. NeoSilk unvotes
5. NeoSilk votes razorborne

Alt unvotes, and is down to 0. I do some switch voting and, as expected, do not have any penalties from this. My vote counts as 1, as it should.

2.3
Quote:
15377 (2): NeoSilk

7. NeoSilk votes razorborne
8. NeoSilk votes 15377

Now, I've moved to numbers, but, somehow, he's got 2 votes on him now, with me being the only one who voted. We know that my vote only counts for 1, so, my assumption here is that someone PM voted numbers. Open to discussion on this one.

2.4

Quote:
NeoSilk (3): rstnme, razorborne, altimis
15377 (2): NeoSilk
rstnme (1):
razorborne (1):
altimis (1):

9. rstnme votes NeoSilk
10. razorborne votes NeoSilk

Things get interesting. Soup votes for me, and gets a ghost vote. Razor votes for me and gets a ghost vote. Numbers still has a mystery vote on him. Alt now, somehow, has voted for me, even though it's not listed (how did you do that) and also gets a ghost vote.

This is interesting, as Alt had self voted, and didn't get a ghost vote, but now has "somehow" voted for me, and got the ghost. The only explanation is that he was somehow able to vote without posting his vote.

2.5

Quote:
NeoSilk (3): rstnme, razorborne, altimis
altimis (3): NeoSilk
15377 (1.5): seTiny
rstnme (1):
razorborne (1):

11. NeoSilk votes altimis
12. seTiny votes 15377

I vote for Alt, and he jumps from 1 vote to 3 votes. Tiny, who claimed to still be in 4, votes for numbers, which counts as 1.5 votes (as it should).

And, that's where we are now.

Any ideas on how Alt voted for me, and why he's at 3 votes?

Still a few unanswered questions here.

Garren, who was in 9 for C1 could either remain in 9, or be in 8. Since he's not voted, we can't tell, but, I'm guessing he stayed in 9 to keep his votes hidden.

Shock was in 7 (claimed, not verified) and could be in 6/7/8/9, based on standard moves. So, he could be one of the unknown votes, if he's moved down to 9.

With most of the other players not voting, it's hard to tell where they are. Right now, it looks like we don't know (or at least have claims from) where Fel, Shock, Garren, Numbers and Scar are.

To continue my broken record...I still think numbers is the best lynch target. I still think that it's most likely that Scar is comedy aligned. Which, could make him a good target, as we don't know what his motives are, but for my goal, I think it's very unlikely that Scar is Dante.

Thoughts? Anyone?

Alt voted for you here Prior to canto 2.4. Zinger must have forgotten to put it in the log.

He's at three because Garren admitted to shadowing your vote via PM.

So you're saying you don't know why you are not being affected by the circle you are in?

CANTO 2.6

But the cause tell me why thou dost not shun
The here descending down into this centre,
From the vast place thou burnest to return to.’
‘Since thou wouldst fain so inwardly discern,
Briefly will I relate,’ she answered me,
‘Why I am not afraid to enter here.
Of those things only should one be afraid
Which have the power of doing others harm;
Of the rest, no; because they are not fearful.
God in his mercy such created me
That misery of yours attains me not,
Nor any flame assails me of this burning.
A gentle Lady is in Heaven, who grieves
At this impediment, to which I send thee,
So that stern judgment there above is broken.
In her entreaty she besought Lucia,
And said, “Thy faithful one now stands in need
Of thee, and unto thee I recommend him.”

In lieu of the newest news, I'm very concerned about Garren.
He hasn't posted much of anything this entire day hiding behind his PM voting power.

Considering how much other people have posted (barring a few), I am going to swap my vote as I feel he has been behaving more detrimentally than NeoSilk. Despite numbers' qualms with him. Getting to PM your vote seems too sketchy to me.

Vote: Garren_Windspear

Oh come on don't be like that. I haven't posted much because I haven't had anything to say. You've all been doing such a great job getting paranoid about vote counts and such I haven't had to contribute. Still vote for me if you must. I guarantee it will get you nowhere - unless your objective is to waste a day?

Right now it's pretty evenly split (and it was close to begin with).
You were the one messing with our vote counts / keeping us in the dark; now we found out about it. That's more suspicious to me than what numbers has on Neo. I'm not saying Neo is innocent, just that I find your actions more suspicious.

I find it somewhat hard to believe that Garren would be using his votes for nefarious purposes and then come right out and claim it. I'm leaning more toward bad town play than sneaky scum play on him right now, but it could go either way. maybe he saw Scarlet's claim and realized people would figure it out, so he came out presenting it like a joke.

So far I've read one game with Garren and played in the other. In Old ports he admitted to being mafia support when pressure was applied. In chocolate mafia he imploded and voted for himself. So I have no idea what to expect from him in this game.

Well, I don't think he had much of a choice in terms of claiming once his circle's powers were revealed, so IDK if your case stands, Razor.

I'm with storyteller on this one. I think he was being nerfarious, discovered that he had been outed, and then started playing "mr. nice guy" to dissolve potential suspicion.

What we can glean from the last vote count is that Neo isn't getting a bonus off of my locale, as the lot of you can confirm I'm not in six. We know that he isn't getting the normal circle effect that soup, razor, and alt are getting. So it's probably the effect isn't strictly circle based. This means role. Now we could assume somebody juiced Neo, but then we would have to assume that somebody chose to boost Neo for whatever reason, we would also have to assume that not only does this juice remove the negative effect of the circle, but also apply a positive one to it as well. Alternatively we can just assume that Neo's role is responsible for the effect. His behavior would reflect this assumption, namely his rash voting at the beginning of the canto.

Add to that he side steps each time I bring up his lack of sixth tier testing last canto and his asking for pile ons on razor at the end of day and I think we have a ringer for my vote.

vote: NeoSilk

Zinger, was this post missed, or is something else afoot?

I like how people are throwing around the notion that Garren is preventing scum hunting by clouding circle ability information, yet at the same time trying to downplay flavor/abilities as a means of finding scum in the first place. You can't really have it both ways people.

While I would agree that Garren's methods are a bit of a dick move, I would not agree they have a definitively scum motive. Mostly because I don't see one. He ghosts Neo, Neo looks like he's getting charismatic boost. And then? What's the end game? To show the circles have a different effect on Neo? Well take away the boost and guess what, we still see that. Maybe I could see some mal-intent if Neo had ended up on six alone or nearly alone and Garren was trying to swing the view point in Neo's wild theory's favor, but with so many there to disprove such a notion, I can't see that with things as they are.

With that said, I have no qualms with a Garren lynch, but I do have a question for Garren, are you claiming to be unlynchable? Or are you referring to something else when you say we will get nowhere while wasting a day?

The later. What I mean when I say you will get nothing is exactly that. Altimis said it above - for all the time I've spent messing around with votes I haven't actually said anything in thread; my death would provide little evidence in and of itself. As I said elsewhere my vote manipulation was just for my own amusement as I have no real suspicions on anyone yet. I suppose the question you have to ask is do you believe I was doing it for my own amusement or do you believe my messing with Neo had an ulterior motive - and if you believe the second what is that motive?

Or do you just want to off me because it was kinda a dick move? I can understand that.

This game is definitely a bit confusing for someone who a) hasn't followed it too closely and b) isn't an expert player by any means :V
