Phone mode engaged.

@ExLight:

Like minded in a thought concerning how hard he was pushing himself for the date. That has since changed based upon my engagement of him and how he has approached me engaging him over it. Just because I agreed with you once over a thought doesn't mean I'll sheep you over everything thereafter wrt to Rubik. I'm somewhat perplexed that you'd push that minor point given you want to fite me.

And that isn't a technicality as it is important. After all, what does it say about a player who seeks approval from everyone before trying to initiate a policy lynch? Better yet, what does that say about you for neglecting how he approached it just so you could throw OMGUS at me?

I think you're playing how I imagine your scum play is so I want to lynch you.

I think you think you're hot stuff as scum and I want to show you that I can catch you and lynch you day 1 if you think that way. :party:
causing town to mislynch 5 times in a row without ever getting voted and after rolecopping the cop N1 and the doc N2 was pretty sick yea

but I think you think I think I’m all bueno and that’s the reason I’m going for an aggressive game style, which isn’t really true
Usually D1 has very little discussion due to the lack of topics, so stuff hardly catches my eye early on. But this one has the CS votecount, and you being eager to date it was interesting, that’s why I’m persuing it.

Arrogance makes me mad, probably.

We like to create some sort of mechanic to chew on d1 sometimes which makes it a lot easier to start reading people.

I'm not sure why you think I'd try to be the first person to persue the CS as scum when any player regardless of alignment allegedly benefits from it. Scum benefits from staying out of the spotlight more than taking it, probably.

How am I even OMGUSing you :wha:
And it says nothing. It could even be interpreted as a joke tbf, not really sure why such reaction. Did you feel threatened by his suggestion?

Why are you prioritizing him over someone (that’s me hey) who you built a small case around?
And what exactly made you change your mind on Rubik? No matter how many sweet words he says, he still tried to get a lead on the dating system.

Oh wow, I tried to do something that gives me an advantage.

Clearly that's alignment-indicative for some reason.

Because town wouldn't want a town player to be stronger, that's crazy. :looloo:

@funnier:

Everything about Rubik in that post should be self contained. If you're going to tell ppl to read, it might be in your best interest to do so first instead of just constantly throwing questions (without reading the context behind them no less). If you plan on following HW's path, then simply put Rubik *was* lurking last game. This differs with this game; however, he was playing two games at once so it was understandable. Etc etc read the post.

As for your post, concerning Rubik, I did read it, and it was lacking. For example, Minish has been self promoting (and pushing Rubik no less) just like Rubik has done. Yet you're content to push Minish (whom is also pushing Rubik) just so Rubik doesn't get it. Which begs why? I assume, which your post does not cover, that it has to do with the rivalry someone mentioned that you two have, yes? If so, is there a more serious reason, or is that it?

JD is my waifu, and everything he says is sensible. Even if you disagree with him, he is still sensible.

Finally, you're not entirely wrong. Just depends on the reason we're talking about. After all, ppl can be wrong.

Actually was looking at voting Rubik, but was lurking to see if I could determine if he was colluding with a Exlight. The "make up your mind" comment had me intrigued.

I dont understand any of this

No one could have predicted CLmao.

It certainly works.

The first player that gets it will be protected by town because in dubio pro reo is a thing whether we like it or not. Scum has literally nothing to lose from getting it as soon as possible because they don’t really have to worry about getting MafiaKilled, and town isn’t going to disrupt someone without evidence. So not only they’ll waste town’s roles by getting townpants in this silly WIFOM, but they’ll also get a nice power-up to mess with us.

Has anyone considered that at this stage we're just voting someone to date the CS? This supposedly happens every day until he chooses someone. The dates could be something different and not give any advantages. Maybe CS finds out something about whoever he decides to date to help inform his decision to marry them or not.

Why would the first player who gets it be protected?

The town will always kill people with no evidence, that's how mafia works.

How is trying to get discussion going by suggesting that you be picked for something that literally every player in the game should want unless they distrust the skeleton's words a bad thing? Do you suggest no one vote to lynch anyone either because we haven't properly discussed who is scummy yet?

You think Town would trust someone a power-up just to kill/disrupt them right after? Without any proper time for discussion in-between? It has to be something really convicting to cause a 180° like that.
It would be an outed semi-power role that most people trust, of course Town would attempt to protect it just in case it is one of them.

You can't really compare those, because lynch flips will always give us information, while the date mechanic may not do that.
One mislynch at the early game has way less impact than giving scum townpants and power roles too during the early game too.

@ExLight again:

You misunderstand. I'm not saying you are OMGUSing me. I'm saying you're throwing that at me (as in accusing me of OMGUSing). And when you said it could be interpreted as a joke, are you referring to your OMGUS comment? Because, if that's the case, you have a weird way of joking. If it is wrt to HW's comment, yeah, no, he's not joking. I'm just not sure if it is because of my jeep comment about his vote, or if it is due to him not liking me posting posts. I'd assume it is because of the jeep comment, but hey maybe he was seeing if something could roll at me, otherwise it'd strictly be, "I was just pointing out how arguing with KoD goes nowhere."

As for why him over you, I'm not an excuse. Him using me as a reason to not read (my posts despite numerous other posts by players who are not me) is not something to be let go of. I'd rather deal with that now in case he tries to do this later in the game (would really not want to lynch over this) vs dealing with it now (in case, as scum, he tries to cruise with minimal effort).

Counter question: Do you not take issue with how he's acted?

Tried and backed off as was addressed when it occurred (talking about Rubik). Pulling from an earlier conversation, sure, it isn't impossible that town would want the power. Yet, given my perspective, Rubik comes off more townie for stopping pushing himself and, instead, engaging elsewhere (I would actually like to see why he cs voted me) wrt to the CS vote.

Speaking of that vote, have you CS voted someone?

Believability has never been a concern of mine. But you gotta ask yourself, truly ask yourself, when looking at those minish posts do you really not see JD making the exact same posts normally? Just food for thought.

The thing about HW is that he is learning to be a stronger player by watching obstinate players like myself, PaK, Rubik, and Rag who would totally throw **** out like that day 1 and nobody would bat an eye at us. While he does get mislynched fairly often I wouldn't say it's for lack of trying though. I wouldn't even call this lack of trying. He's just unmotivated.

@HW, sure you are bud. I won't tell them your secret.

@Amber, well I mean not everybody is welcome. I'm sure scum is pretty miffed. Sorry about outting you in front of everybody I suppose?

Somewhat, yea, but policy lynches should be used as a secondary resort in my book.

And what would you expect for a scum to do if they got called out? Pushing it even further would only draw themselves to the spotlight even more. Him trying to leave that behind outta the blue is NAI to me, but him trying it in the first place is something that deserves attention.

I voted Minish.
