Full-vanish-and-reset seems logical. vanishing 3CM doesn't last forever: eventually the list is purged and we start over.

Indeed. We have only done 4 Vanilla rounds in this run so far, and I was planning to either reset or switch to the "Classic" vanilla after a few more.

What about vanishing non vanilla where the winner unbans a card, bans three cards that was used in the current round, and chooses the next round or something crazy.

Perhaps you missed the 'key card gets banned' part.
Like it or not, the main idea new people get when they come in is Lotus, Lotus, fatty.

Almost everyone with more experience knows this and knows how to counter it, but if you want to attract new players, you need to enable 'easy' ideas. The lotus ban is terrible for getting new players.

I'm looking at this from a recruiting standpoint with my own hosting periods in the back of my head.
As a normal 3cm player, like I said, I do not mind Lotus ban.

I don't want brw players, I want old players.

I mean, watching all the new kids play Lotus lotus fatty and have razorborne play Artifact Blast.dec is always fun to watch.

3 V. 7 is 4-1 in 7's favor: On the play, 7 can encroach and that's that. On the draw, Skerry gets played but student comes out and will eventually win the race with TNN unless TNN hangs back to block until the heat-death of the universe. So that's what TNN does, and it's a draw.

Good catch. I just did quick math in my head and though the 7 turns you needed to kill me would be faster than I could level.

Doing my scores. Changed 2v7 to 3-3 from 0-6. On the play I steal Student of Warfare with Mesmeric Fiend and deck 7 has no win condition and loses to the sick 1/1 beatdowns. On the draw I get Mutavault stolen from me by Encroach and can't cast anything.

I think I was a bit premature on the TNN -- I was expecting a lot of creature removal and people holding dead StP against it, turns out that there was still discard disruption left I'd forgotten.
