no-lynch day 1 commits to no-lynch day 2. there's literally no upside to a day 2 lynch with 4 people alive.
I think the important question in that discussion is how much info we get from the claims today. the tipping point to my mind is a confirmed townie. especially if the nullification rule is in effect. (Hello World: can you clarify whether, if a cop targets the same person as the mafia, that cop gets a result?) if it is, having a confirmed townie forces the mafia's hand so that they can't interfere with our results. whereas if we have a more balanced likelihood pool, I think our best bet is to try to grab two shots at scum by lynching the most likely candidate today and seeing what tomorrow brings.
Preview edit: well, speak of the devil. Aaargh is confirmed town. no one has a sane result if he's scum.
Sorry I haven't been around much, flew transatlantic day before yesterday, pretty jetlagged. Anyway, I targeted Razor and as far as I can tell, he's one of the good guys.
Now that this poll is officially over, it's time to congratulate Aaarrrgh for designing Hill, which has been decided by popular vote to be the Card of the Month for October 2013!
And, what will likely be my final post for a while....my breakdown! This is assuming that all town is being honest, and only the mafia player is lying:
So - assuming the only person lying is the scum player, then it can only be Razor or Argh to be scum.
Unless someone is lying (someone besides the mafia, of course) then I think we should vote today, since there's only 2 people who could be scum. So - if you're lying, please tell us soon (unless you're scum, of course) remembering that you are going to be the most likely to get voted on for D1...
Taking the data out of it, I'm leaning towards Argh being the scum. Razor was all for the sharing of info, posted first and so on, while Argh posted last (with a valid reason). Of course, I would assume that if Argh was lying, he would have come up with a better lie, to not only have him and one other person as possible suspects.
@Everyone - please check my work here...I could be off with something.
Neo, your breakdown of possible scenarios where I'm scum is wrong. You have Jay (15377) listed as sane, which is wrong. He targeted you and got a scum result. I haven't found any other mistakes yet, but to make it easier for people to check, I'm posting everyone's claimed actions:
Now, as long as that was the only mistake in Neo's list, this means that unless someone was lying to misdirect the Mafia, we have already solved this. So please help me check Neo's chart, and make sure that we have true information.

yeah, a quick review reveals that if all town is telling the truth, I must be scum. considering I know that's not the case I'm led to believe that some townie lied. anyone want to fess up?

I can't find this rule in the dethy page of mafiascum wiki,I still have to look at how tevish described the game, but unless it was mentioned by tevish,I'm not including it.

Mod question - if players target the player who's night killed, they still get their results, right?
My apologies on the late answer. I was at work when it was asked, and I needed time to check out other Dethy games to see how they did it so I could make my decision. Sadly, I haven't found a decent listing of standard rules for Dethy, so I'm gonna go out on another limb here:
If the person you investigate is Night killed, you don't get a read since they're already dead.

I've not had a chance to double check everything else, but you are right. I had that incorrect. Assuming everything else is correct (and please, double check me!) then it looks like we've found the scum, unless town is lying...If Argh is scum, based on what we've gotten, then there can be no sane cop, therefore, Argh cant be scum....
Unless someone is lying (someone besides Razor ) then we vote, and town wins....

You know, I want Razor to be Town, just because he's helping a lot and sharing strategy, but unless someone admits to bluffing soon, I'll have to vote.
How much time do we have left to vote, by the way?

Then clearly the correct course of action is to vote Razor. The only person who has not had a chance to fess up to being lying town is Garren. Unless he comes out and says he lied in his next post, this is the play of the day. If Razor then flips town, whomever was the lying townie can live with the fact that his insistence on perpetuating his lie cost town the game.

Just to confirm I did not lie. I too tired right now to check over the work neo laid out above but if people want to kill razor then I will go with that.
