Sure, Zinger said you could confirm in thread OR by responding to your role PM, so this isn't necessarily a smoking gun, but I'm banking on the theory that he confirmed in a mafia discord chat, since it's Day 1 and there's little else to go on.

Plus, his first post in the game is to basically say he wants to lurk because we're too heated? I'm still relatively new here, so maybe someone can chime in on whether or not this is in his meta-wheelhouse. Seems fishy to me.
