This game was probably the best job I've ever done in spinning complete ****.

My goal was mainly just FUD. My plan was to actually just try and achieve max conversion of the world by complacency.

If I hadn't 1) lost the dungeon 2) been randomly roleblocked and 3) then working constantly and unable to send in the +2, I doubt I would have ever died.

Probably depends on a lot of factors.

JaC had a killing ability that circumvents protection effects, so there was definitely a way to nightkill you.

So basically, whether or not mafia needed to hit more priority targets, whether or not JaC got caught before he was able to shoot you, etc.

Also if you check the mafia quicktopic, there are approximately a billion usernames in the thread.

JaC is Genis (and maybe one other name, I don't remember). Everybody else was me.

@zinger: what were the various effects caused by winning/ losing in the dungeon?

For me, had I won, I would have known when the clones I brought back were changed. When I lost, the chance of them getting scrambled doubled.

For the dungeon.
If I lost I got put into the first circle of hell.
If I won, I got a one shot night kill ability.

Which, given it was going to be aimed at JAC or Silly (and by that I mean JAC), seems like a pretty nice gift if you ask me.
Except JD had to go and roleblock me, so it wouldn't have made a difference anyway.

i really wish i could have gained cool new abilities from the dungeon

dungeon penalty was "random player in the game gets told that im mafia"

dungeon reward was "become immune to investigations" (i come across as nonthreatening town to every ability)

mostly didn't matter, because the only real abusable part of my role is the lynch immunity (assuming i live long enough)

and neither half affected it at all

if I had randomly lost the dungeon i would have just played off the mafia confirm as bastard moddery

as confirmed scum fred had just died

and was surprise not scum

I'll be honest, I would have taken over the game and probably gotten close to winning it too if I didn't get erroneously lynched when it should have been practically impossible for that to happen.

I was already getting annoyed with the rest of town doing absolutely jack crap and I was hot on the tail of at least JaC (who I would have reaction killed if I hit my actual L-1), and while Silly would have taken a bit longer, wouldn't have been much behind Rubik compared to the rest.

Then again, work has been hell lately so maybe not .

I'm still a little bit upset that you killed me. What made you decide that was a good idea?

Sorry , had a pretty strong scum vibe and town was shuffling around with dumb distractions. This was before I knew that my kill didn't reveal.

@Freddeh: Well, clearly I played my cards a bit wrong as well, as you were not the only one who scumread me. Ironically, me dying instead of PK probably kept town focused on distractions a lot longer...

Too much focus on mechanical/outguessing the mod and metagaming instead of actually scumhunting is why town can't have nice things.
