"Just don't let it get your hopes up. Things can always go awry in a hurry," Norston says pausing just once inside the room. He tapped his foot against the floor and held his head in his balled up hand as if trying to remember something forgotten. In truth he was tapping the floor to see if it was a firm foundation or hallow, and looking for any high up windows in the room, as best a dwarf could standing in a room with rushing taller folk. He waved off his imaginary thought and continued along.

Nothing out of the ordinary is detected by your look around.

Norston pauses in his tracks. He had not considered the fact that they may just miss him while searching for him. "I suppose, but the guards could be called for someone being too obvious about waiting for someone,"

Mirellea looks around speaking "I'll wait here,while you two go back to the trade district to look for him,say a couple of hours before meeting back at Demon's Run?"

"Are you sure? Well if you want to," Norston ends his thought with a shrug. "Be sure you are at Demon's Run later,"

He turns to Lomendil, "Guess its us as an odd pairing from here,"

Okay, let's go then. Also, just a quick heads up, don't be surprised if I do something like this. I often find it convenient for signaling others if I notice something.

As he speaks, he makes a quick hand gesture which appears significant.

Norston hesitated in his step, until he could confirm what he 'heard' did not give off a discernable direction. Given the elf with him had been talking along the lines of doing something he looked straight as possible and mouthed 'you?' to his partner in this part of the job. Also while the gesture came off as important, one area his studies lacked in was the cant and its meaning was lost to him.

But the magic, as Norston guessed Lomendil had done with the message, had to be confirmed. Also any criminal with a lick of sense knew not to reveal a mage when they didn't need to be. So he put the question to him with his own twist, "You've lost me. Do you practice being, what's that word for a musical leader. Oh yes, being a maestro or something?" He said quietly back with a poor imitation of the motion Lomendil made with his hand.

Well, I only know one song so that hardly qualifies as a Maestro, my talents lie more in being able to understand and appreciate other people's works.

As he did so, he just glanced straight back:

"Ah, I think I understand now," Norston said as he drew up his hood to ward off the rain. "Doesn't hurt to remember a little of an art," He allows a small nod as a response to his companions secret message. "Sometimes I wish I had a better memory for music, but it isn't easy for me,"

He did his best to keep his eyes watching for Davorin as they walked along.

Lomendil waited a few minutes and then followed Norston into the Kismet Cantina. As he did so, he attempted to see if anyone felt to be a threat.

Insight:10

No one seems to be paying you any attention. You see Davorin take a seat opposite of a man who looks to be wearing a black suit. They seem to be saying something to each other but you can't hear them from the door. A waiter comes over and than leaves them.

"Keep me informed, I have a feeling you might note something I'll miss," Norston nods in the direction of seats closest to the entrance. He then approaches slowly as hoping to catch a few words of the scared-eared half-elf and his friend's conversation before saying, "I believe you're the one they call Davorin, if I'm not mistaken. If you are I would like a word with you. A friend of mine said she saw you in the area before a recent event," He said in hopes it would stick in his mind or even become his new focus.

As you move to the table you hear "Yes,sir. The rest of your messages have been delivered and I'm on my way with the last one."

The man Davorin was with stands up as you start to speak and heads away from both of you quickly. Davorin slowly stands up looking at you and says "Umm, what recent event and who are you?"

Lomendil follows him in and does his best to study the man as well. He quickly notes the words and sends a quick whisper message to Norston:

I think that is the man who is sending them. I am going to follow him. Go ahead and continue talking or not, I am not sure which is best.

As he does this, he attempts to unobtrusively follow the other man.

The best you can figure is that Devorin is just a messenger in the eyes of the mystery man who you follow without being notice out the side entrance. He then sits down in the back of a carriage that trots off leaving you.

Norston held out his right hand while his left went behind his back with his thumb sticking up as a way to signal Lomendil he got the message. "Name Xackscus Red-Sledge, private investigator," He steps a few steps forward and motions for Davorin to get closer. He continues in a whisper, "Been trying to identify a body we've found within the vacinity of Madam Chang's that was found three days ago. Been spending the past couple of days piecing things together. If you have the time I'd like to talk things through as I heard you were in the area,"

"umm yeah i guess i can answer a few questions, as long as it doesn't take too long. I still have some stuff to deliver."
