Glad you guys enjoyed it.
One thing I learned from this game is that infinite complexity doesn't necessarily make a game better. My mindset going into the design of this game was to raise the bar even higher than what I had achieved in the first one, which was already a very complex game. So to do that I made this game even more complex. I found that the level of complexity was so much that even my incredible ability to manage complex games was strained to the point where I made a few blunders in the game (not major ones, mind you, but they happened nevertheless). I think I learned where the limit of complexity should be. In the next one, I plan to scale back the complexity a tiny bit (not so much that it's no longer considered a complex game though) in order to make the game more seamless to run, and also to focus on refining the mechanics to be even more exciting. Quality over quantity.
As I have hinted, I've already begun designing
A Spider-Man Mafia 3, and if you peruse this website just a bit you can even find the title somewhere.
I can promise it will be just as confounding on the surface, but slightly less complicated underneath so that I don't run the risk of tripping over my own plot-lines.
I was happy to see a lot of people from the first game return for the second. It might take some time (months? a year?) before the third one is up and running, but if you want a reminder when the sign ups show up, inbox me an email where I can reach you and I'll shoot you a notification.
