Ahl's got that dedication in case things go sideways.
Without even seeing the design file I can say that town is in the shape it is because of misplays. That is both referring to bad plays like HW's day 1 vote switch or Neo's jumping on kill for no discernible reason. It also includes Nik's failure to bold and my own apathy in that situation. Then there's KoD's copping choices.
Long story short, this game is the product of town decisions. Trying to say Maf's don't deserve a W cuz town **** up so much is just sour apples.
I don't really know what you mean by my failure to bold. My vote counts for one so the lynch would've still gone as it did.

@Nik, I just mean its not what you intended. Personally I overlooked your vote initially. It's possible others did the same. as long as you intended to vote and it didn't count it counts as a misstep even if you can't see a definitive impact.
You're still maintaining you're self at this point? Why bother?
You seem to honestly believe I've been lying left right and sideways this whole game... Boy are you gonna be surprised when you see the design file and are forced to realize I've been telling the truth the whole time!
What was your role anyway Ahlyis? I know you could reduce your vote, but what was it you did that took my vote yesterday?
I've already told you my role. I'm self aligned survivor. Yes, my half vote was part of my role, but I didn't muck with your vote. I have no ability to muck with anyone else's vote.
I know you still don't believe me. Whatever. I wasn't lying about my alignment, I wasn't lying about my half vote, I wasn't lying about having nothing to do with your vote issues yesterday and I wasn't lying about being survivor without the world worth living in clause. But you don't believe any of that. You think every piece of that is a lie (except my half vote, maybe). Again, whatever. Just wait for Rubik. *shrug*
They had turned someone with no stake in this conflict to their side, offering to save him in exchange for ensuring their victory.
JayDreven could see everything unfolding, but he was powerless to stop it.
And the moment he lost control of his own destiny, he ceased to be able to influence the world in any way. He ceased to be.

That night, the Sanctuary was filled with Darkness. It had been filled with darkness all along, for eternal solitude had corrupted Arborius long ago and in that solitude he had become tainted by the shadows. Their plans would come to fruition tonight.
The rightful king of the three kingdoms had sent an order that afternoon forcing the head cultist of the Cult of the Eternal Watch to request that the Cosmic Eye kill Ahlyis. That task was impossible, though.
The one known as "Ahylis", now nearly out of power, rested against a tree tonight; he had survived, and now the darkness would sustain his batteries until the inevitable end. Mechanus, the ancient machine, could continue on.
The rightful king giggled. While he was still just a baby, the shadows had enhanced his mind enough that he could orchestrate the undoing of this world. Despite his age, he technically held ultimate divine authority over everyone. To oppose his decree would be to oppose the gods themselves. One of the gods would strike Niklor down that morning for failing to obey the king's will.
In the shadows, the ancient hermit lurked—he didn't want Mechanus to see him. He had feigned an intention to kill the machine during the day, but his snakestaff allowed his words to be heard differently by the Hands of Justice who were keeping track of the votes. Nothing delighted him more than to be able to make one final deception.
-
That morning, Niklor, the Cosmic Eye, found itself face-to-face with the six-colored god of colors and cubes.
"This world will be destroyed by this darkness long before you can return to it."
The eye tried to muster enough cosmic energy to resist the god, but to no avail.
"You willconsumenothing."
The eye was vanquished. It would return later, but it would never return strong enough to defeat the gods. In a thousand years the world would be lifeless, and the Cosmic Eye would return to an eternity of hunger and solitude while the gods created a new world.

A prophecy fulfilled: You lose and are removed from the game if you are successfully sealed away by The Blind Monk.
A world worth living in: You can't win with more than one Darkness-Aligned player alive.
---
Darkness swept across the land. The rightful king would grow to become a dark and terrible king, whose reign would last 500 years. Dark forest consumed most of the world, corrupting the wildlife and destroying countless civilizations. The hermit would live the rest of his life in luxury, betraying people for his own benefit with no fear of repercussions; the king would never punish one of his most useful subjects.
Mechanus was indifferent to the cycles of this world. Darkness had come before and would come again. As long as he survived, nothing else mattered as long as his memory remained.
After 600 or so years of darkness, life ceased. The hermit died a few decades after they had conquered the world. The king lived more than 500 years before passing away quietly in his sleep. Eventually, what made Arborius himself became so deluded that only darkness remained, and with his death, everything else in the world could no longer survive. The world was without life or air or water or light, it was just a sphere of darkness in the eternal night sky.
Mechanus was the only thing salvaged from the old world. The gods decided they would start anew. A world free of the Cosmic Eye's gaze. A world that would not be consumed by darkness... Darkness winners: KoD, PK, Zipper Survivor winners: Ahlyis

Arborius — You are Arborius, Darkness-Aligned Forgotten Grove — Consumed by darkness: After 6 nights pass, the Darkness-Aligned players win the game if you are alive. All non-Darkness-Aligned players lose the game.
Sanctuary: Each day, you may PM me a list of players to invite into your grove that night. They are linked to a temporary quicktopic where they will be able to talk, but they cannot use abilities or have abilities used on them while they are there. They will see you. All players in the Sanctuary will also be PMed the names of all the other players in the sanctuary.
Immobile: You spend every night in your Sanctuary.
The Rightful King — You are The Rightful King, Darkness-Aligned Heir to the Three Kingdoms — Your word is law. Once each day, you may choose to issue an order for the upcoming night:
Order of execution: Choose two players. You order the first player to kill the second player. The first player will simply be asked whether or not they carry out the kill. If they agree, they kill the second player if able. If they refuse or fail to kill the target, they are modkilled.
Order of fealty: Choose a player. They will be asked whether or not they are willing to protect an "important target" tonight. If they agree, they protect you tonight and kill anyone who is targeting you with a killing ability. If they refuse, they are modkilled.
Order of imprisonment: Choose a player. They will be asked to give up all their abilities permanently. If they refuse, they are modkilled.
Order of war: Players gain the ability to nightkill other players tonight.
Order of peace: Players cannot nightkill other players tonight.

Mechanus — You are Mechanus, Survivor-Aligned Relic From a Time Long Ago — Battery: You will die after 3 nights because your battery is running low.
Recharge: Whenever a Darkness-Aligned player dies, you regain 1 bar of energy and can survive another night.
Power-saving mode: You may PM me to enter power-saving mode at the beginning of a day. If you do, your vote is only worth ½ of a vote and you do not lose a bar of energy that night. You can't use power-saving mode two days in a row. (You must activate this ability within the first 48 hours of day.)
Networking: Using your communication technology, you are allowed to communicate with players in the game outside of the game about the game. Whoops! Sorry about that. Here's a fixed version of it:

if PK uses decleration of war and zipper protects KoD isn't there a high chance of like half the town dying in exchange for PK? The game could literally end with a mafia victory N1 that way, and i don't even think its infeasible. It seems like the proper line of play and idk how much trigger disclipline people here have but i wouldn't be surprised if the answer is "not a lot"

but yeah the reason the mafia won was because their players were a lot better and there wasn't much real pressure from the town (largely because there were so many self players who didn't feel strongly inclined to play as town i imagine)
they were really allowed to move the lynch to wherever they wanted

We had an entire discussion regarding that line of play, Rag.
