You said yourself, you failed to notice the fallacy in your argument. It's really that simple. Don't blame yourself, this is a common mistake made when someone is actively looking for any excuse to slander someone.

@Squinty - if this does not pass, who are you thinking about for the next mission? I'm in the unique situation where, if we vote no for this and the next 3 missions, then it would fall on me to pick this team, so, I'd like to try and weigh some options before I make my decision.

Unless something changes my mind, I think I'd go with myself, Tevish Szat and, oddly enough, you. I'm not super comfortable with the players so far, but Day 1 is a lot about shooting down teams to establish voting patterns.

SE - I like that team better. Strangely enough, something about how Zinger is playing this is just causing me to scream inside.

What? Winning the game for the bear-punching team is making you scream inside? Neo, if I didn't know any better I'd say you were scum! Good thing I do know better.

 Let's go punch some bears in the gonads boys.

@Squinty, if this team passes this mission (hint: it will), why would you change a winning combination?

Nothing against Neo, I think he's a fine bear-punching candidate for your team, just curious why you would change something that will have proven to be successful.

You're contradicting yourself. First you said I intentionally attributed yesterday's team to the wrong person and didn't think that the fallacy could be noticed (despite it being obvious), now you're saying I failed to notice the fallacy (which is the statement you were disputing in the first place).

If you want to make a case that I made a case on you to "slander" you or that my current case on you is nothing but "slander", so be it. But don't imply that I intentionally said something factually incorrect in a way easily verifiable by anyone else in the game and then act like you never implied it in the first place.

I'm becoming increasingly comfortable with Mown and Neo. The only way a team with SE, Tev, and Zinger could be without scum from my perspective would be if Rag had selected a team of both of his scum buddies D1, which is unlikely. The very idea that Rag selected a scum buddy with his team is seeming less and less likely to me. It's about as likely that Rag selected a team of townies to get credibility for himself as it is that he implanted one into that team to give them credibility. It wouldn't surprise me if someone ceased the opportunity to neutralize 2 townies early game which would completely prevent an early town 3 man from being discovered fast enough to sweep the game.

SE: I'd be more comfortable if I were in that team somewhere, but it's better than any team with Zinger.

The hypothetical was if the team I proposed was rejected by the town.

Ideally, it will not be, we pass the mission, we pass the next mission. We don't have to include anyone from the 2/3 quarentine block then.

Personally, I feel confident there's only one true bear puncher NOT on this team right now. And that person ought to vote for this team, so that we can sweep these missions.

Because the scum sure as hell won't approve it.

I think your quarantine is a questionable tactic because if you isolated a group with 1 scum and 2 town (which is entirely possible), the remaining group of 4 would have a 100% chance of involving scum, regardless of which group of 3 you create.

I have four votes, there's a little over a day and a half left I think.

If you are a bear puncher, please vote up this team.

If you are not, I don't care what you do with your vote. But hey, if you want to vote up this team to gain some town pants I ain't gunna complain.

Imagine if Rag is a spy, and invited two Resistance members. Man, wouldn't that make us all feel silly. While not inviting yourself is really suspicious, you should probably be wary of drawing conclusions about me and NeoSilk. Although NeoSilk is trying to be more buddy than I'm comfortable with, but that is grasping at straws. Not inviting yourself is also such a rookie mistake that it brings to question how well though it is as either faction, but there is certainly more incentive as a Spy.

Also, I don't know why any of you would view Zinger in a positive light. He is just saying things in a loud and obnoxious fashion, and expecting you to go along with it, presenting no solid basis as to why. Which either means he is a Commander throwing away the game, or lying through his teeth, neither of which are desirable outcomes. You're practically relying on him to be extremely lucky.

The only thing I have to wonder about is, since he is apparently presenting me, Rubik and Rag as the Spy team, whether that means I should trust those two or not, since I know he's wrong. I have my eyes on S_E, Zinger and NS currently, so my gut feeling is "yes", but it's a very shaky foundation.

This just screams scum to me. I am voting no, because I'm now even more sure that Zinger is scum.

Who am I trying to buddy with? I'm just trying to get as much information as I can to make the best decisions that I can make. To me, that's what this game is about.

Probably an exaggeration. I would just expect you to be a lot more wary of me than you present yourself as, and it makes me uneasy. But that is hypocritical given what I just said, and as mentioned, it's all pretty loose as far as arguments go.

You guys are really dumb.

You should vote yes because this mission will succeed because it has only bear punchers on it.

Let's look at the facts, shall we?

1: The only mission to have passed proposal stage so far was the one I proposed earlier on with Squinty and I, and this mission succeeded. therefore there is significant evidence to suggest that Squinty and I are probably Town, or at least there is no evidence to suggest we aren't (having been on a team that was sabotaged).
2: This mission, proposed by Tevish (not I, who is the target of your misgivings), includes the successful team from before plus Tevish (obvious addition of the leader for obvious reasons). Unless you mistrust Tevish, the only new addition to the otherwise successful team, you shouldn't vote this team down.
3: Instead of evaluating team dynamics and actual evidence from past successful/not-successful missions, or voting patterns, a couple of players are putting their entire focus on discrediting a player who is loudly and excitedly advocating the awesome success of the bear-punching team. This is something you SHOULD question, and wonder what motives would lead them to purport these opinions so.

Yes I am enthusiastic, because from my perspective we are winning. If you're town, don't change that from a perspective of us winning to us losing.

That's all.

Also, let's just be clear here, but you put down a Success as a spy on mission 1.4 with 7 players total in the previous game as well.
