"Well ,then" I say, gesturing at Aaarrrgh's character Kriv, "If you've no idea where to find a man there's only one place to head and that is the pub. And I do believe the pub is over... yonder".
I make for the Leaping Boar. I presume Kriv follows me, but I do not look back.

It's been a while, Alan thinks as he quickly scans the small crowd around him for saurians, I wonder what Dao's been up to. Seeing nobody matching Dao's description, Alan covers the distance to the Leaping Boar with long and purposeful strides as he fishes his memory for details of their previous encounters. He passes a tiefling just about to enter the tavern and Alan opens the door for him with a polite smile, just to show he didn't meant to cross his way in any form or shape.

Kriv, after a moment's hesitation, shrugs and follows his new acquaintance. He stops at the door when he sees a familiar face.

"Alan!? Is that you?"

Alan's face lights up when he recognizes the dragonborn.

"At your service like always, old friend! How have you been? You here for Dao too? Are you together?" He asks the last question looking at both Kriv and the tiefling. "A pleasure to meet you! Alan Vohnheim, at your service," he adds to the tiefling, offering his hand.

"I wouldn't say we're together, as such. We only just met. This is Zander... No, Zanzi... Uh..."

*Kriv turns to Zanzilbar*

"I'm so sorry, I'm not very good with names."

Answerer approaches. Its face plate seems focused on Dao. It is initially silent, but looms uncomfortably close.

"A good day sir! As my friend Kriv can't quite seem to recall, I am Zanzilbar Dalcatta- indeed, that Zanzilbar."
Zanzilbar sticks out his hand to Dao Huey's character Alan
"No, we're not together really, just fellow travelers on the road to glory."

Edit- I got confused about who was talking and addressed my speech to Dao instead of Alan. That's fixed now.

Alan gives Zanzilbar's hand a hearty shake as one of his eyebrows raises a fraction of an inch.

"A glory seeker, I see! Well, renown follows good deeds, so we could share that road for a while," Alan replied, amused by the tiefling's moxie, and gestured for Zanzilbar and Kriv to enter the tavern. "Speaking of road, I just arrived here and I'm mighty thirsty. Care to join me for a pint?"

"A pint is always welcome! A gallon even, but if we are to drink then I should invite another acquaintance of mine to join."
Zanzilbar walks up to Mr. Dao and invites him to grab a drink with himself, Alan and Kriv.

The saurian regards you three looking you up and down with a suspicious brow... "You three stick out a bit, and where's the rest of you?"

Zanzilbar flashes Dao a wicked grin (he's a tiefling, so all his grins are wicked).
Why not wet our throats while we wait? I'm sure if you pour a few extra glasses the others will show up. Liquor has that effect.

I roll a history check to see what I remember about Dao and what a saurian like him would be doing around these parts.

You have no clue who he is, though that doesn't seem to stop him from ordering drinks for all (in the party) who want one

"The rest of who?"
Wanderer looks at Zanzilbar, uncomfortably close.
"Are you partial, meatbag?"

Zanzilbar raises a glass to the strange robot man. "I'm partial to drink my friend."
Zanzilbar turns towards Dao. "And is this fellow one of the 'others' you mentioned? This mister..."
Zanzilbar in the vague direction of everybody and continues, "... mister..." making a 'please continue' gesture with his free hand.

"A gallon... what a character you stumbled into, Kriv," Alan says to the dragonborn, shaking his head with an amused smile, and follows Zanzilbar with his gaze...

"Isn't that Dao?" He asks, watching the saurian speaking gruffly to the tiefling.

History roll to remember info about Dao, as per my previous post:
Huey Nomure rolled 1d20+2 and got a total of 8:

Dao looks over to the Construct, "they are one of the individuals I contacted, yes.. we are still shy a few it would seem." He would say taking a swig of his mug of booze.

A saurian with metal limbs? Yep, that's Dao alright... or at least it fits the description best.
