Well, that's too bad. At least I have the moral victory of knowing I mostly solved the game.

It was frustrating at times, but once the twist became obvious I had a lot of fun sparring with JD and KoD. I feel like the last two days of this game stretched me a lot as a mafia player. Really enjoyed the challenge!

I'd say I was 80/20 on you being town vs you being survivor, though that number was made in retrospect.

JD definitely would have been the natural lynch following KoD, and I think you'd be high on my list after that, though depending on how the game progressed its possible that I'd have prioritized someone else above you. With KoD and JD flipped town though, it would have lent a lot of credence to the "mafia can all message and town can't" perspective, so I imagine you'd be pretty high up no matter what.

The game was probably also breakable via metagaming, although I didn't say anything. Every sleeper probably got the same role pm and so it would have been trivial to end the game just by asking people questions about the role PM.

I felt it was a very mafia-sided setup although the town strategy effectively heavily relied on metagaming. I think that despite what PK thought, the town was in a pretty strong position up until the end. They only needed one vote to secure a mislynch and then win the game, and little enough was still known about the setup that there is a sizeable amount of doubt to utilize in securing that one vote. By the time any townie died though, it would have probably been over, and if the mafia had been even slightly more fortunate with their targets or town happened to be lynched during one of the first three days, it wouldn't have been close, probably.

It was true, but the no lynch vs majority was scary. Like it pushes bandwagons and helps unify the players.

ggs friends

game was fun, thanks to naga for hosting!

most of the time i spent alive i did not consider a flipped game, i think i saw like 3-ish people breadcrumbing sleeper and assumed i was the 4th
i also considered the possibility of a town 'hunter' role that knew something about the sleeper mechanic, but i should probably have dismissed it as soon as i saw some of the more obvious breadcrumbs
zinger bussing tevish threw me for a loop, and i pinned zinger as the 'hunter' role i was considering
i found rubik n1, he recruited me n2, afterwards my goal was to kinda lie low and see if we couldn't figure out the game from there
zinger flipping mafia probably should have tipped me off that the game was flipped or similar, but i was leaning a bit too hard on the investigate to solve it for me i think
anyway, that lead to me not being quite confident enough to just come out and claim cop with mafia results on rubik and arrgh, though i think functionally claiming town results on them would have been the same
i really shouldn't have held off on that claim, but whatever i guess

it was a really neat idea though, and again thanks naga for running the game (:

So yeah, that was exciting. It was kind of funny, watching from the Shadow Realm, to see just how long it took to put together what was really going on.

NGL, getting bussed by someone I didn't even know was my teammate was mega-frustrating. I'd say I should have expected it, since Zinger has won at least one game in epic form off a high-profile bus, but then I didn't actually know I was on the same team as Zinger. All the same, I feel like I had fun with this game on the whole. Thanks, Naga, for hosting.

my immediate reaction to seeing zinger out you was that zinger was a sleeper (or handler) bussing. I think argh had the same idea, iirc. I wonder how it would have gone for him if the game wasn't actually flipped.

If it wasn't flipped he should have been investigation priority 1. Well he should be either way. But in a non flip he's outted by the cop day 2 and traditional town is sitting pretty going into day 3 sans cop.

I don't feel like this game really started until mafs were all on the same page, by then town had a fighting chance. If it was any earlier I question whether we would or if it's simply be a matter of attrition until loss.

Overall balance wasn't too bad. As o mentioned during the game a simple mod provided sleeper agent fake claim levels out the knowledge Gap and also prevents a day 1 mass claim breaking your game. From there if probably make the cop and the handler unable to message to keep the game from being breakable from that standpoint. A solid first outing though.

Good game. I liked how the game made little to no sense.
