Of course febb looked more scummy than I did. That's exactly why I did the thing I did, because I lose the game 100% if he dies.
Because I'm vanilla, the only way I can win the game is by lynching people. It is actually mathematically impossible for me to win that way, since I would need two votes to kill the last person, which only altimis is able to produce, and he is confirmed to be town by the game rules. So even if I somehow managed to convince the world to lynch Rubik, KoD, fel, US AND NeoSilk (do you understand how incredibly ludicrous this sounds?), I would still not be able to win the game.

i think the crux of this problem is really finding out why mown is so bad at mafia.

I was in a similar situation years ago when I just played for 3 years (so...8 years ago or something?). I had no NK either and was alone as mafia. But as a mafiate you do not need to be in a spotlight in discussions.
All you have to do is to make a stance here and there and agree with 1 more prominent townie. As long as you can talk that one townie into agreeing with each other in almost everything, it is hard for the 3rd person to come in between.
You lose for sure if there is an active cop around with 2 town investigations (because sooner or later the cop will die, confirm the 2). One investigation was to be used on PoPa. The other on a town.
So as long as you could steer the cop towards his would-be investigation (Altimis to be sure is where I would've tried to point him) and suck up to that person, there would've been a (very small) chance to win.

It's just that claiming a role you know is in the game in possession of another player is a sure-fire way to die.
If the other gets lynched, he comes up as your role. Or the thing that happened now.

Unless the rules aren't actually what they claim to be, I can't win the game alone without a night kill or extra vote. Maybe I could have relied on Fallen Ideal, but assuming that there is an ability in the grave that can grant me extra votes is kind of grasping at straws, and I doubt he would have targeted me in the first place.
If KoD gets investigated by rubik, febb dies.
If febb gets investigated by rubik, febb dies.
If I get investigated by rubik, maybe they find out that my role is useless and decide to do a blind lynch, and in some crazy universe, maybe they hit KoD because his role is super scary.

Because it's my second game.

A 1-1 is a win for mafia normally.

Mown claiming thallid made finding the real thallid very easy. Them not knowing the restriction of the thallid was their only fault and you can't blame them for that. My timing might be off on this, but it was a plan they had nonetheless.

They had a backup plan. They did things right. I just feel that when things stopped going right they shut down. As I mentioned before, when it came into suspicion that you could store up abilities/votes, I woud've been all over that. Beyond that, I don't think there was anything else mafia could've done differently. They could've played a little more defensively after outing half their team, but with PP already going to be lynched in the near future, there was little to no chance of Mown surviving.

I have like actually no idea what you are talking about.

Actually no, Day started at 10:12, PM that I was voteblocked is stamped 10:13. So he's either fast, or simply queued the ability up with zinger. So I couldnt have avoided it, but its still a day power.

Also for KOD, if Mown died instead of PP, PP was the one with NK's. Sure he was super suspicious and wouldn't last long, he would've been able to deal more damage than Mown in the given situation.

Hey Mown, I didn't realize it was your second game. If I had I would have offered up more tips and suggestions (cuz I like to help new players. ) I hope this experience doesn't hold you back from playing again.

From where I was sitting as the game mod it looked like the Mafia just handed the win to the Town. I am saying that the entire Mafia did that as a team, and am not berating one specific player on that team as being the source of those "blunders". As a whole the Mafia team did little to involve themselves in the Daily discussions and sway the popular opinions one way or the other. When they did involve themselves it was to do something that basically said "Hey, I'm Mafia, lynch me."

As far as offering up a different line of play, if you're going to go balls-to-the-wall in the spotlight like that (and I am not knocking that option), then at least bluff it in a way that is credible for you to be Town. In this circumstance, it was easy relatively to figure out that you were Mindslaver. Knowing that, it would have been possible to admit that as Town and possibly bluff people into thinking the ability could be of chief benefit to Town (given that only the Mafia knew exactly what it did). That's one route I would have gone.

This was a unique circumstance of course, because of Scrambleverse, but still a learning experience for sure.

I don't think anyone should be berating the Mafia team for their actions, though. There's no need to argue. We can have civilized discussions about this without things getting heated.
