I'd like to play. I need to figure out a character and learn some of this Pathfinder stuff. |

What's your timeframe for this? I'm interested, but, being brand new to PF and all, I'd likely need some time to read up on a few things and figure out creating a character and all... |

Harruc-Olk, Half-Orc Beastmorphing Alchemist Edit: Question, do alternate racial traits count towards the amount of traits a character can have? |

I remember for Amarath's setup you wanted to do a charismatic rogue. Without knowing what they'd want to play I'd say that might be open here... |

So would it be weird if I wanted in on this despite being in on the other Sandbox game? Is that even allowed (I noticed BH is here but I assumed he comes as a package deal with all Set-Up threads )? If its allowed could I join this game? Maybe as a 6th if no one else wants to play? |

Well I can always bow out to somome who isnt in the other game. I mostly showed at the request of RM. Plus I know Squinty likes torturing me. Even if he didnt have time for my solo game but can suddenly run a full one |

I'm kind of interested in this, but I know zip about Pathfinder. That is, I know a whole lot and have a massive collection of books for D&D 3e (almost all of the hardbacks, in fact, largely missing the Races and Heroes of series mostly incidentally, some setting specific stuff, and by choice Tome of Battle and Miniatures Handbook), but don't know how much of that transfers over or even could transfer over. |

@BH - Yeah that's what I meant with my post. I'm interested but would gladly bow out if others want to play. Considered me a reservist or something. @Tevish Szat - Most of the underlying mechanics on 3.5 ED base books carried over to Pathfinder relatively unchanged - the main things you would have to look at changes to class abilities and the way certain spells work. You can find the SRD with most of these changes here. |

All the rules for this game are free via the pathfinder SRD linked above. No need for books, in fact with the search function its faster than even the pdfs of the books. Edit : Garren_Windspear beat me to it. |

You'll do fine. My world is a little wonky at times, but it's a fun place to learn the system. Glad to have you on board. Bounty Hunter wrote: Plus I know Squinty likes torturing me. Even if he didnt have time for my solo game but can suddenly run a full one I was very, very pre-occupied with stuff like going out and playing Ingress with IRL people. But, since I live fairly far away from where most of them play, they've agreed to keep me supplied and I have a bit more time now. Certainly join up. I consider it a compliment that you're willing to deal with me some more since I've my world has tried to kill your mage with his own spells so much. I think we can handle six players to begin with. Bounty Hunter wrote: Squinty ...whats our intro hook? I haven't thought one up yet. I only threw the idea out to RM earlier this afternoon since The Red Box will be closing. I'll ask Bounty Hunter and Garren, since you guys are in my other campaign, what city would you like to visit? Do you wanna stay in Ixen'Taoul? Is there a specific aspect of the world you wanna see? Do you wanna visit another time period? Shockwave07 wrote: Edit: Question, do alternate racial traits count towards the amount of traits a character can have? Alternate racial traits overlap an existing racial trait most of the time. If you have a specific instance of it, please let me know. Also, there are some changes from the last game for ease: (1) No Traits (extras from the Advance Handbook) (2) No DM bonus feat. NeoSilk wrote: What's your timeframe for this? So, I'm gonna say that the timeframe on building a character would be by April 28th, Monday. Gives everyone just under a week, and a full weekend to do it. That should be a decent amount of time. Okay, so far we have: Roaring Mouse Shockwave07 Bounty Hunter NeoSilk Garren_Windspear Tevish Szat I think six players will be more than enough to begin the game. As soon as you have character sheets, please post them. MythWeaver is the preferred way of doing it so it's an easy reference. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Also: Please come up with a loose backstory. I have some cities set up already, so if you need to ask about them. Many are based off Mage Towers and the like, and I'm always looking to add more. The world expands as you guys play and your backstories help me flesh it out since it really began on this forum. ~SE++ |

Three totally new, three with some experience seems a good mix. As far as city goes doesnt bother me, but considering thr new players id liekly push for somewhere less of a hellhole than Ixen ...keep the intro lighthearted with some decent paced fights for them to feel out combat. I'll certainly try to be done by the 28th ...but this week will be super busy and I likely wont evwn have a day off. So all character building comes at cost of sleep. |

Stat 1: 8 3, 1, 3, 2. The first die in the Reroll bank is a 2. Makes it 3, 2, 3, 2. Drop a 2. 3+3+2=8 Stat 2:15 1, 6, 1, 3. The second and third dice in the reroll bank are 4 and 5. Makes it 4, 6, 5, 3. drop the 3. 4+5+6=15 Stat 3: 13 5, 3, 5, 2. Drop the 2. 5+5+3=13 Stat 4: 17 OR 18 6, 6, 1, 5. The fourth die in the reroll bank is also a 1. If that is further rerolled, the fifth die in the reroll bank is a 6. Drop the 1 if it exists, otherwise the 5. 6+6+5=17, 6+6+6=18. Depends on how repeated rerolls go. Stat 5: 15 6, 5, 4, 3. Drop the 3. 6+5+4=15 Stat 6: 15 6, 3, 6, 2. Drop the 2. 6+6+3=15 Final array: (17/18), 15, 15, 15, 13, 8. Ooooh, interesting... |
