I've not played d20 Modern but could probably learn the rules if a game got going and I was free enough to join in. But first lets get some more information up so that others know what they're getting into.

Are you looking to DM the game? Is it a sandbox world or are there modules? Consider using one of the templates from the Guide to PBP to let people know character creation rules, you should be able to copy paste the code over easily.

Are there any aspects of running a PBP game that you'd need help with? You sorta hinted that in the other thread.

System: D20 Modern
Player Count: looking for at least 4
Style of Play: will be action/investigation

Character Creation:

• Backstory: Sure
• Experience: starting at level 1
• Wealth: standard for starting class and occupation
• Ability Scores: Roll 5d6 best 3
• Hitpoints/Health: standard for level 1 heros

Other Notes: It's a sandbox in the modern world, but there is an over all plot, heroes will be going on missions to investigate incursions of Shadow and dealing with other threats connected to it. Heroes will operate under Department 7. I will be the GM. Very little magic none at first level. I'm just wondering will the rolls take place in this thread or in the game thread or what?

Theres a few different ways that people do it, but normally its the GMs call... or at the very least the GM asks the players what they want.

Heres a few ways you could do it:

Example 1:
In Character Thread : IC Actions, Dice Rolls, GM fluff.
Out of Character : General Chatter, Questions, Jokes, Planning

Example 2:
In Character Thread : IC Actions, GM fluff.
Out of Character : Dice Rolls, General Chatter, Questions, Jokes, Planning


For examples, check out a few of the games already running. The Red Box game uses Example 1, and has the dice and actions put in spoiler blocks. The Talcar game uses Example 2 and has the combat rolls in the OC and the IC thread is strictly for the roleplay.

Character is done barring equipment. You got any limitations on this or am I good to just get a few odds and ends that are within my wealth level?

Incidentally smart heroes get more Skill points then I know what to do with. It's insane. I ended up speaking, reading and writing four additional languages just to burn some points.

In the middle of changing stuff around and stopped for dinner and such. Hence work in progress.

what's Autopsist?

A guy who performs autopsies. Actual occupation taken is Doctor - it's under the feats section so I had room to write the effect.
