I'm sorry to hear that. We're always very open to feedback on it all. There's already been several changes since the first season. What specifically is lame to you?

With regards to expectations, the first and foremost expectation is for everyone to have fun, and the vast majority of representatives always seem to have fun and many end up becoming friends afterwards, so for me that is a success :)

I fancy myself an optimist Thingy so I'm looking forward to the championship purely for fun. After all, it has to be successful if this is the third time not to mention all the other benefits you brought up due to this whole thing.

Plus, I've been informed what I'm going to be walking into. At the very least it'll be a learning experience for me.

What about the setups? Thingy mentioned something about Matrix12 or something where they randomly choose a setup out of 12 different types to use for a game.

matrix12 sounds like a mafiascum setup, but i couldn't find it on their wiki. Looks like it might be adapted specifically for this competition. It'd just mean that there are 12 random setups and one is randomly chosen before the game begins.

You should really talk yourself up in your bio while exaggerating the strength of your personality traits and the magnitude of your accomplishments. To play mafia in the big city you gotta make yourself look big.

I assume the setups are just like X town power roles and Y power roles and perhaps even a self aligned serial killer here or there? In varying amounts to make it different.

here's the setup its ultimately based on, i assume matrix refers to the table system of selecting roles based on rows and columns. But either way you can probably understand it as just being one of twelve "balanced" setups. I would expect it to be simpler role-wise since the earlier years were closer to vanilla setups. (if they weren't just vanilla, i can't recall).

excluding Px2 and here, I've only played mafia on five forums, of which one is listed here.

When i played on MTGS last azrael was the top dog and it looks like he is being considered this time around. Iso and Seppel are other players I've played with. You know Iso, and Seppel played in a few Px2 games a while back as PK's guest of honor. I don't know if you'll remember him.

Azrael is the type of strong logic, calm demeanor, wall of posts kind of player you imagine when you think "strong mafia veteran". turns out i was thinking of someone else :lol:

I've only played in the one game with Iso, but he strikes me as cockier and more confident in his reads, which could go both ways in a game like this.

Seppel, as far as i can remember, was closer to a VI style of play. I couldn't imagine he'd be very strong in a game like this, and although the MTGS community seems to respect his strength as a player they seem to think the same thing.
