And ouch, bad luck, man. Three low rolls is not cool. Reroll one of the single-digits if you'd like. Nobody should have to have 3 negatives unless they want them.

Oh I intend to swash many buckles. We just can't *all* be the Errol Flynn types. Having a group composed entirely of that would just reduce the impact. I still fully intend to be an old sea-dog - the sort of soul who craves the adventure and allure only the high seas can provide. Just don't expect me to swing from a chandelier with a cutlass between my teeth to save the governors daughter from her virginity. I'm the guy who takes the door and holds off the governors men while the hero is having his big sword fight showdown. Effectively consider me the stern first-mate to the charismatic and dashing pirate captain that Tevish seems to be building.

Oh yes, definitely. I would never ban classes merely for the genre. And especially not bard; bards are amazing.

Ended up going Rogue anyway. I forgot just how few skills you could have in 3.5 thanks to bloat.

You could totally take high charisma, though. And take lots of ranks in intimidate.

Actually, you get one of those waterskins, the cutlass, the backpack, 7 of the 8 rations, and the flint for free.

And as for the armor, I forgot to mention. I don't allow studded leather in my D&D games. There's never historically been studded leather, and the idea of studded leather doesn't work. But you can have leather or the chain shirt.

Hm, that recovers ~20gp, to a total free gp of 65. The studded is 25 on it's own, so that's 90 available for new armor which means... I am short of Chain Shirt (100). So it looks like it's leather (10) and 80 avaliable gp That's... over half the initial available funds, so I should probably acquire something with some of that.

For the meantme, the character sheet has been amended.

Armor is free unless it's half or full plate or something.

Sorry about the lack of posts on my part. I have most of the mechanics done but it is stupidly warm and humid over here and concentrating is difficult. I'll try to get at least the completed sheet up by tomorrow at the latest.
