We don't seem to be picking up a fourth person, but I am okay with running this with three.
A question: Would people prefer to use maps (via Google spreadsheets) or theater of the mind? I haven't run the latter before so it'd be interesting, but it depends on what people want.

So I really need to get down to actually writing up the character sheet (I keep getting distracted by video games - blame the steam sales) but I already know most everything so its just a case of finding some time to actually do it.
At a glance how is this for a character concept; I will be playing a minor member of one of the Ten Yellow Houses (most likely Wu at the moment) who fled Hoi Lan Fa when it fell to the Olgaeth Republic and, disguised as a commoner, signed on with a mercenary company heading west - his eventual goal being to return to Jin when the situation he cooled somewhat and set about gathering allies and alliances in an attempt to take back his city. Would something like that work?

Real life got me and I had no time so far to create my sheet, but I'll do my best to get it done until tomorrow. I've got the mechanical side of the character pretty much done, I just need to figure out some details on flavor and actually build it.

Character sheet is done. Obviously I still need to fill out the background a little more but you got the blurb version of it a little while back. Nothing much from that has changed.
Just out of interest I'm assuming our characters both know each other and have been serving as a mercenary group for a while yes? Or have we recently met up by chance? This is aimed both at DS and you other players by the way. What would people prefer?
* I apologize if the name is all kinds of dumb. I just grabbed a random name generator.

The spells on the seconds page are the three cantrips I know and the five spells I have prepared (3 and the 2 for the War domain). I figured it would be redundant to write down every spell I know since it's the entire cleric spell list.
As for the Personality / Ideal / Bond conflict it's a case of I see myself as a man of the people - just another guy on the street who happens to have been born into a position of extraordinary power and privilege. As such it is my duty to use what I have given to improve the lives of those who - through no fault of there own - have been given a rawer deal in life. Of course the easiest way to do that is to present myself as a hero and leader for those people; I can't risk them simply seeing me as another petty noble and thus being unresponsive to what I am trying to do for them. Something like that.

I'm considering doing this, however, I don't the 5th Edition Player' Handbook.
I have a preliminary character sheet here. I have no idea what feats are available to me.
Background
Liu Xin has been a peddler and a burglar from an early age. He grow up with father, who brought him into the family business, before he died due to illness when Liu was 15. He was the result of a one night stand with a married woman, so he spirited off to his father after his birth, and claimed to be a stillborn. He has met his mother once, but as he bears a decent resemblance to her and is a bastard, he has kept his distance. After the death off his father, Liu Xin traveled on his own from town to village, peddling wares stolen from the town two stops back.
One night, a few years before the Dwarven invasion, Liu had found a particularly well locked study in the house of a local merchant, but once he gained entrance, he found foreign documents instead of wares. He was caught while searching the room, and offered a choice: join the employ of the Olgaeth Empire, or be killed. Thus began Liu Xin's career as a Olgaeth spy. He continued his roaming lifestyle, but instead of stealing goods, which would be missed, he began stealing information. In addition to knowledge of troop mobilization and supplies, Liu Xin found himself gathering vast amounts of salacious gossip. This, combined with his newfound legitimate merchant contacts allowed him to worm himself into polite society as a respectable trader with a keen ear, further enabling his information gathering efforts.
As his employment lengthened, Liu Xin found himself occasionally to take more direct action, such as intercepting and forging various documents. In once instance, in the village of Xiangshan, he was asked to cut the bell rope to the village tower. A week later, the invasion began. With the money he had accumulated from his espionage, Liu Xin was able to travel far enough to weather the war, but after peace was declared he returned to the region in the interest of striking a new bargain. Along the way he passed through the village of Xiangshan, except there wasn't a village there anymore. It had been leveled by Olgaeth forces, leaving only a charred skeleton. At the center of town he found a small shrine had been built around where the massive bell had fallen, complete with a small plaque that read:
'You sang a song of gathering With each resounding breath But when your heart rang silent You sentenced us to death'
After reading the plaque, he turned and left to continue his journey. Now however, he found himself having nightmares of people burning alive and screaming, only their voices were silent, or he would be falling from a great height, and he would reach out to catch a rope, only for it to break and twist itself around him. When he reached his old contact, he found him more prosperous than ever, and was promised work ferreting out various rebel factions if he wanted it. However, Liu found himself compelled to return to the ruins of Xiangshan. Maybe he could bring an offering to placate the spirits of the place. Upon returning however, he found another man kneeling at the shrine. He was hideously disfigured, his face covered in burns, one eye covered by scar tissue, one arm hanging useless under his shirt. The man was sobbing, one hand on the list of names. When Liu approached, he turned to him and sobbed,
"It's my fault, it's all my fault. They could have run, they could have hid, but I failed them. I failed all of them."
Liu just stared at the pitiful creature, holding his offering to his hands.
"I was the bell ringer, the scout nearly ran himself to death to give us time, but I hadn't done my duty. When I pulled the rope, it snapped, and then there was no time at all. I tried to replace it, but by then it was too late. A hundred thirty seven people died because of me, because I failed in my duty. I know every one of their names. I have been bringing offering to this shrine every day for years to placate them, but they still torment me. How could they not, they will never be able to rest until the responsible one is dead."
Liu started to grow wary as the cripples demeanor changed, how much did this man know?
"It is good that you are here today, perhaps the gods have granted me one last favor before they condemn me for good, perhaps they simply want a witness. Either way, they watch down on you now. Go well friend, and know this, every debt must be payed."
With those words, the cripple drew a dagger from his belt and plunged it into his heart. Liu ran to stop him, but the cripple was already drifting off to shock when he arrived, a horrible grimace of guilt spread across his face. Liu Xin buried the body next to the shrine and placed his offering upon it. He learned two things that day: That his torment was only just beginning, and that suicide would right no wrongs. And so he left Xiangshan, eventually joining a mercenary company, which leads us to today.
I am going to review all the character sheets so far for actual correct numbers and the such now.
I am NOT going to check what you bought versus how much money you have left, so I am going to trust you all on that.
@Garren: I totally forgot clerics have access to their whole spell list.
@Dr_Demento: If you are using the variant human, you have all the feats that are available in the PHB. If you don't have the full PHB, I am sure you can google it.
What do you want your character to be called? Wu? Hon Yin?
Your ability scores are too low. You have two more points to spend before your racial bonuses.
You know what, the second page wasn't visible when I looked at it before, which is why I was wondering where your spells were. I don't know what happened before.
Could you add your spell attack bonus (4), as well as all your ability mods?
Sai Yun
Do you go by Sai or Sai Yun?
Could you write all your weapon and armor proficiencies in addition to the dragon dice?
Your Ideal is fine as it is, but why does it say "Noblesse Oblige"? It doesn't reflect noblesse oblige, and you aren't nobility in a meaningful way.
Your Flaw is not really a flaw. It is written as a Bond or maybe Personality or Ideal. But it needs to be an actual current flaw.
Liu Xin
Do you go by Liu or Liu Xin?
I just saw you said you don't have the full PHB. That's fine, but if you want to use the variant human, you'll have to get the list of feats somehow...message me if you can't figure it out.

1) Most likely Hon Yin while working as a merc to avoid association with the family. Now we're back over the mountain Wu will probably be coming up a fair bit more (though party will most likely still call me Hon Yin).
2) Oh yeah. I was tinkering with statline and never finished. Correcting it now - Whoop 13 strength. I can now move at full speed again!
3) I've noticed that happens a lot with the Mythweaver alpha sheets for 5E. You basically have to open them twice to get the second page to show.
4) Spell Attack is already there; page two, top left. You got casting bonus (+2), save DC (12) and attack bonus (+4). As for ability mods you mean for the skill ranks? I'll fill them in but there all just the same as the base attribute mod.

Lets say the full Liu Xin.
As for the full PhB, I can't really do much shady stuff on this computer, but I might be able to drop by a bookstore in the next couple days. I might just revert to the basic Human though.
Dr_Demento, if you need a couple days, that's fine. I don't plan on starting immediately. There just isn't an easy way for me to reproduce five pages of feats for you.
Everyone, if I mention something about missing numbers that you did put down, it's probable that it's a problem on mythweavers' side. I don't think anything I couldn't see was really vital, except Sai Yun's proficiencies.
