Well, we don't have a mage, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
I can see why yellow would give you some trouble, with that background color.
This is the blue I'm using.

You don't need it, but it's common to use a unique color for in-character speech.

Yes, it's not essential, but it makes it a lot easier to distiguish your speech from your action narration.
