Welcome to TRAGEDY LOOPER MAFIA!

Tragedy Looper is a complex asymmetrical puzzle board game where three players work together to stop a fourth player from bringing about a terrible tragedy using innovative time travel mechanics. In the game, the three protagonists must repeat the same series of days in a groundhog-day style loop all the while trying to uncover the mastermind's secret plot. If the protagonists defeat the mastermind in even a single loop, or, failing that, if they are able to correctly identify the secret roles that non-player characters have in the plot at the end of all the loops, they win. For the mastermind to win, they must trigger one of the protagonists' loss conditions in every loop, and successfully hide at least one of their key players (the NPCs with secret roles) from them during the final guess at the end. It is a very fun game, albeit somewhat challenging to learn.

But you can forget all of that because that merely serves as the inspiration for this mafia game.

Here's how the game will be played. Four of you will have the roles of the three protagonists and the one mastermind. The rest of you will have the roles of characters in the plot. While most of you will be playing more or less a traditional mafia game, the four players assigned the roles of protagonists/mastermind will instead be playing a complex game of Dethy. Yeah, you read that right, I've snuck a whole Dethy game INTO this Mafia game.

This game will feature time travel mechanics. You will be playing through four in-game Days on repeat, stuck in a groundhog-day style loop. Each Loop will see the game "reset" to back to the 1st Day (so, if you die, don't assume you can just 'check out' of the game), but while much of the game appears to have been reset, the meta-game within the game will be advancing, culminating in a final challenge that will determine if you all survive the coming Tragedy, or fall victims to it.
